The car that we rented had a low tire pressure we called Hertz to exchange the car. It was a nightmare, and they never exchanged the car.

Hertz gave me a car with less than a full tank of gas and some type of strange, mechanical defect, sounded like something was rolling around in the back end of the car. Indicates to me a lack of attention to detail on the part of the location where I picked up the car.

Hertz Car Rental is Great!!!
Review of hertz car rental, 5225 S TAMIAMI TRAIL SARASOTA, FL 34231. I had an excellent experience with this company! I was a little reluctant because of some of the negative reviews, however, I would highly recommend Hertz!
First, they sent a friendly driver to pick us up and take us to their business to get our car without a fee. We needed a rental because mom's car was getting repairs and I had flown down to visit.
The young woman who processed the rental was very kind and answered our questions and concerns in a very polite and friendly manner. I didn't realize that I had to wait 24 hours after booking with a Bank VISA card before I could pick up the car. She offered to give us a free ride back to our home and pick us up the next day (for free) if we wanted to wait.
I decided to go ahead and get the car using a credit card. The next day my mom's repair service said that her car was ready. We returned the rental to Hertz with no problem and they only charged us for one day.
I would definitely rent from this company again if I need to. Don't let the negative reviews keep you from using the Tamiami Trail location.

The car that I rented in advance was not available
I rented a specific car in advance (Niro Hybrid) and when I arrived at the store, they didn't have the car. They tried to "push" a basic sedan or a Nissan Kicks (a downgrade in fact). I said no, and they finally offered to pick up my rented car in another location (airport). I accepted and I needed to wait for 45 minutes to receive the car. It messed up all my work plans for the day.
