Hertz rental experience
I have been renting vehicles from Hertz, specifically the Thousand Oaks location for the past 2 years and have been meaning to write a review for a while. I cannot compliment the service experienced enough. In my opinion the best rental company out there. Joseph the manager of this particular branch in Thousand Oaks runs a fabulous operation. The staff are always courteous, attentive and efficient. Consequently, it is always a pleasure renting through Hertz and honesty I would not consider any other rental company. Highly recommended.

I've been a member of Hertz for many years and rely on them to get me the vehicle I need when travelling. The vehicle I requested was ready, clean, fueled up, and the pick-up process was quick. Dropping off was just as easy and efficient.

Car was pre-checked & ready.
Car was pre-checked and ready for pickup. Only thing is that the side mirrors had dried water spots making hard to see clearly. It seems that is a Herzt wide issue for me. Otherwise, everything else were good.

Hertz, not what they used to be
Hertz WAS the number 1 car rental company. It was my go to as I traveled the continent for my job. Cars were always in tip top condition. We knew that the cars were maintained and in excellent driving condition. Today, however, that is not the case.
We rented a car for 3 days. It was a Nissan Altima. The car was great except for the little problem it had. It was losing oil. Not sure what type of oil it lost, brake fluid,transmission oil, engine oil, not sure, but there was something out of this car that stained my pavers on the driveway. I have tried to contact them multiple times, but the only "person" I was able to reach was a robot, which multiple times transferred me to an agent. Multiple times I was disconnected. I guess anyone on their employ doesn't really get a salary as much as a power charge. 🤔
So as a result of this wonderful rental I have to hire someone to get the oil off my driveway. (Their car ruined my property with no recourse. If I scratched their property. I am positive there would be a substantial fee to pay.)
After this pathetic experience I don't believe I want to do this again especially since their agents do their clients a big favor to help. Answering the phones is especially not in their job description.
