HiQ Tyres & Autocare - Helston Avis 

Turned up at the Helston outlet with brake problem. Usual garage couldn't look at it for a couple of days but Treve looked at his schedule and said he could fit me in so left the car with him after he gave me a price on replacement front brake pads. Tang me within 25 minutes to tell me that i i i would need discs too and said he could get them as well. Rang a couple of hours later to tell me the car was ready. Treve was extremely helpful in my situation and couldn't praise him highly enough.

We were in Cornwall on holiday and picked up a puncture. We had already been to two tyre companies for a repair but they could not do it for us.

HiQ were across the road from one of the other tyre companies and when we asked at reception the man there Treve said that he would check he had someone free, which he did ... this was great for us because we were on holiday and didn't want to be without the car to explore. Sam was our technician and got the job done in about 30mins. During this time Treve talked to us about the area and suggested places to visit which was very kind of him.

I have to say the staff here were very helpful and gave an excellent service ... seemed like they were the only company we tried who realised we were on holiday and didn't want to travel home on the motorway with a problem with the car especially the tyres.

First class service and everyone knew what they were doing which put my mind at ease. I was lmpressed with the fact that the staff stayed on later to finish the job. In future I shall definitely use HiQ and make referrals to my family and friends.

Brilliant service, fixed our brakes and pads on the day and didn’t try to overcharge us.

Great service from Treve and Ant today. Had two tyres replaced and a third repaired, very quick and a good price. Answered all my daft questions, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

I visited Cornwall for a family holiday which started off with a nightmarish stay (another review upcoming there) and then saw fumes coming off my car! Called RAC who were super diligent in their checks but the person couldn’t fix it and advised me to take the car to HiQ (his recommendation) to get checks done the next morning after giving directional issues with oil leakage. Next morning, I showed up at HiQ in Helston, explained my situation to the gentleman at the reception, and got myself booked for checks same day. Anthony (mechanic at the garage) explained in detail what was missed by my well reputed car dealer’s service routine a week ago and the mess it created.. thankfully he was able to turn a knob and fix it. All this for no charge at all! These guys genuinely helped me at a time when I was preparing to get my car towed (plan B) back home to London.. highly recommend these folks. Received fantastic service from Treve at your Helston branch yesterday (Friday 10th April).

After a terrible week at a local holiday park i noticed i had an egg on my tyre when leaving, so I just turned up at your garage with no appointment, and the gentleman at the desk was so helpful (Treve) he was so accommodating, he checked to see if they had the tyre i needed and luckily they did and within half an hour Sam the technician had me back on the road again, thank god as i had young children in car too.

HiQ Tyres & Autocare at Helston serviced my Skoda yesterday and the manager, Treave, gave me clear and helpful advice afterwards, as always. I have used them for Tyres and other work on both my cars for years now and have always had great honest service.

I took my car for an MOT and it failed miserably. The thing that impressed me most was Treve on the front desk he explained all the faults in detail and the probable causes. He then costed the repairs and timeline .Treve's professionalism and knowledge of everything was very reassuring. I was kept fully informed of progress and was very pleased at the speed it was done. On completion of every thing I was invited to inspect the defective components if I wished to. I cannot fault anything with the service I received. Treve and his engineers are a great credit to your company, I hope that top management Know and appreciate the hard work that they deliver. I will continue to use this company for the foreseeable future, many thanks PB.

I broke down early on a Friday morning and found I needed a new alternator and battery. The AA man suggested he call the Helston branch to see if they could help. They said they could fit me in straight away and the work was completed before lunch. Big thanks to Treve and Sam for your help and amazing service.

We use HiQ in Helston for all our car woes and have done for years. Treve who we mostly deal with in the office is always helpful and takes the time to explain what was done to the car and what might need looking at soon. All the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable, but mostly seem to deal with James who's always happy to talk things through and show us the broken bits that were replaced.

First-rate, friendly, and helpful service and expert, pragmatic advice made this a very positive, as well as economical, experience, provided by an excellent team:- technicians Ant and Glenn and service manager Treve.
As a result, I shall certainly be returning to HiQ Tyres & Autocare Helston for my future car maintenance and repairs.

I have used HiQ Tyres Helston a while now and I find the crew very knowledgeable and helpful. Just today (25/02/2025) I had new tyres fitted, excellent work by Sam Holt and excellent customer service by Treve Wills and the rest of the crew.
I will certainly be using them again.

5 Stars and a huge thank you to Treve and his team @ Helston HIQ. My car, AKA a Bossy Mini with attitude, is my means to feel safe, be completely independent and do the job that I love, so to have her off the road for 11 days has had huge impact, especially as there was a time we didn’t know if she would be repairable.

Not only are Treve and his teams work incredibly knowledge, delivering work of a high standard very professionally, they also kind and haven supported me throughout the last 11 days communicating regularly, explaining everything so I could understand the work & implications while also being compassionate and understanding as to the implications & worry of what not having a car meant to me.

I know HIQ is National but Helston HIQ feels like a local garage in all the best ways - a team of very genuine and skilled people who really care - could not recommend them more, they will always be my garage - but most of all thank you for getting both my car & me through the last few days

Emergency stop on holiday when we noticed our tyre was in desperate need of replacement! 4 kids and dog in car. The guys sorted us out straight away and we were on our long drive home within half an hr. Super grateful for their speedy help 🙏

HiQ in Helston under Justin Robertson are an excellent organisation.
They took great care with a problem wheel on my car. They gave good advice were very helpful, worked efficiently quickly and were thorough. They are also very reasonable in their pricing.

Amazing bunch, were able to help out at the last minute and saved our holiday, my first experience with HiQ and due to the excellent customer service they will be my first choice going forward, highly recommended

I don’t normally leave reviews but their service was incredible!
I recently went to Audi to get my car checked for some warning lights, I was told it needed a number of things fixed (mainly new brake pads and discs) they said the work would cost near £3000 in total! I was in shock as I don’t have that to pay for my car. We thought we would look elsewhere to see if we could get a better quote or else we would have to sell the car due to it being so expensive. I was in for a service and MOT with HIQ in Helston for my other car, that car needed similar work on it but the cost was considerably less. I told them I was surprised as my other car was quoted way more for pretty much the same work, they said bring it in for a free health check and they would tell me what needed done and how much it would be. This week I brought it in, they checked it over told me what needed done and completed the work for just over £300!! I couldn’t believe it! I will be recommending HIQ to everyone!! Thank you for saving me over £2000!!!
