I rarely write reviews but really wanted to leave feedback on this company as I was sooo impressed with the service. It is very rare that you phone and get to speak to someone immediately who is experienced and knows all about the products they sell and takes time to listen and provides great advice. I got the impression it was a smallish firm with a close neat team. No annoying being placed on hold for ages and being transferred to another member of staff and having to repeat all that you have just said. My email was promptly responded to by phone, which avoided endless back and forth emails and allowed them to gain more information to guide me on my purchase. Unfortunately the item I would like to buy is out of stock (not just with this company but nationwide due to the pandemic and shipping issues). However I was so impressed with the service, that I have asked to keep my order on back order and will wait until new supplies arrive.

They have a huge range of machines and just as importantly very knowledgeable staff!
I bought my first overlocker, cover stitch and a replacement sewing machine.
Lovely Elaine spent a few hours (on more than one occasion) showing me how to get the best out of my machines.
The after sales support is invaluable and I highly recommend this company.

I ordered fabric online from Hobkirk. Great selection and easy to order quantity needed. I then received a call from Elaine, apologisong that there wasn't enough of the original fabric, did I want to change it? Happy to! Mistakes like that happen and didn't take away much from my experience. Fabric now received, really happy with the speed of delivery and the quality of the fabric. Extra big thank you for Elaine, who was outstanding in her customer service.

Excellent company. Very helpful, knowledgable, and they want to make sure you get the most out of your machine. Great follow up support, so if you're a newbie or a complete beginner, these guys will make sure you don't feel like you've only got YouTube to turn to.

I really hope I wrote down Elaine's name correctly and I haven't got the wrong person! This lady was incredible. I had no idea what I needed, or what I was buying as it was a surprise gift for my mother. Elaine was without doubt the most helpful person I have ever dealt with, over the phone. She explained this whole product to me and hit every question I had written down before I even asked her. The item shipped the same day, and I think arrived the next, after having a conversation about needing to get it in time for a birthday! Support this business - they really care.

Hobkirk sewing machine’s customer service has been brilliant for me. My first sewing machine was faulty. They replaced it immediately and were very helpful. I am totally delighted with their service and my new sewing machine.

my Grandma left me some money for my birthday so that I could buy a new sewing machine, I had been online looking for weeks but to be honest, I really needed someone to guide me and not rip me off or try selling me something that I didn't need. Marcus from Hobkirk was such a gem, he was so helpful and answered all my emails and all my telephone calls, Marcus went up and beyond in getting me the sewing machine that I set my heart on, and then their service went even beyond my expectations and they delivered it to my door. The one thing my Grandma wanted me to do was to buy from my local sewing machine shop if possible especially during this difficult time, and as Hobkirk is local to me I will always use them and I would recommend them, you won't get better service I promise you.

Bought a dress form because the price was the best I could find although I had never heard of the company before. It was delivered with other items to the other end of England in less than 48 hours. Would definitely use again.

Last month we purchased two brand new Seiko machines from Hobkirks. Mark himself was full of helpful buying advise, and a pleasure to deal with, as always. Neil in the parts department is exceptionally helpful. And Terry the technician is a fountain of knowledge.
