*Beware of Holidaylap: A Nightmare Travel Experience*
I am sharing this review to caution fellow travelers about the harrowing experience I faced with Holidaylap(tag).
Having planned trips with various travel agencies in the past, I decided to book with Holidaylap due to a limited budget and the peak holiday season. My itinerary was simple: a 1-night, 2-day trip to Ooty and Coonoor with private vehicle arrangements for pick-up, drop-off, sightseeing, and accommodation for two. As two female travelers, safety and convenience were paramount. Unfortunately, this trip turned into an absolute nightmare.
*Issues with Holidaylap:*
*Miscommunication and Lack of Coordination:*
My contact at Holidaylap, Virat(tag) initially curated an itinerary tailored to my request, quoting a total cost of ₹18,000. I paid an advance of ₹3,600 as requested, supposedly to confirm hotel bookings. However, a night before the trip, I had to chase Virat for driver details, spending hours on calls with no assistance. When finally provided, the driver demanded an additional ₹3,000 for the pickup, claiming it wasn’t included—contradicting the agreed itinerary.
*Payment Exploitation:*
Upon commencing the trip, the driver insisted on receiving ₹7,000 upfront and another ₹7,400 at the end of the journey, citing delayed payments from Holidaylap. These demands were made on conference calls with Virat, putting me in an extremely uncomfortable position.
*Hotel Booking Fiasco:*
Despite receiving coupons for The Majestic Crown hotel, the staff denied us a room upon arrival, stating Holidaylap had only reserved the room but hadn’t made the payment. After hours of fruitless calls to the agents and their manager, I was forced to pay ₹4,000 out of pocket.
*Rude and Uncooperative Behavior:*
Reshma( tag), one of the agents, was extremely rude and uncooperative during our calls. Instead of assisting us, she blamed her colleague Virat for the mistakes in the itinerary and coldly insisted that we pay the extra amount of ₹3,000, as if we had committed fraud rather than being the victims of their incompetence. The manager’s (tag) behavior was equally appalling—condescending and dismissive, offering no solutions and refusing to take any responsibility.
*Abandonment and Stress:*
Throughout the trip, Holidaylap agents, including Virat, Reshma, and the manager, either ignored or blocked my calls, leaving us stranded and anxious. Fearing the driver might abandon us mid-trip, I paid the exorbitant total of ₹21,600 just to ensure our safety.
*Final Thoughts:*
This was by far the most stressful and frustrating trip of my life. Holidaylap failed to honor its commitments, extorted money under false pretenses, and ruined what was meant to be a relaxing getaway. Their rude and unprofessional behavior, coupled with the complete lack of accountability, made this experience utterly intolerable.
I have all the call records and proof of conversations but have been stonewalled by the agency, with no refunds or apologies.

Our family had planned a trip with bookings made well in advance, spanning over a period of 3.5 months. However, just 10 hours before our scheduled departure, we contacted the hotel to inquire about early check-in, only to be shocked to discover that no reservations had been made on our behalf. Despite multiple attempts to reach out, Holiday Lap ceased communication entirely.

After hours of uncertainty and anxiety, finally a call with their manager happened, who unapologetically offered us suboptimal alternatives. These alternatives involved lower-quality accommodations, deliberately arranged to mislead us. The company’s approach seemed intentional—having us travel to the destination, only to reveal that there were no actual bookings, forcing us to stay in properties far below the standard we had initially planned for. Ultimately, we had no choice but to cancel our arrangements with them, forfeiting the advance payment.

Given this experience, I strongly advise against engaging with this company. Their unprofessionalism and misleading practices were extremely disappointing, and they caused significant distress during what should have been an enjoyable trip.

Worst experience. Booked 3.5 months back but they chose to change the hotel on the day before trip started. The new hotel was way inferior and then when I didn't agree for it then they stopped picking up phone. Literally 6 hours before my trip started I had to cancel due to lack of trust.

Never consider them for your own good.

They provided cheap hotels and cheat the travellers. Ask them for HRACC certification of hotels before they offer you any stay catageory hotels. BIG CHEATERS

I have a great experience after using holiday lap

We have gone for Ooty for our vacation and there we have experienced the true beauty of nature and there beautiful places. Our cab driver was also very well explained and friendly.
