To be fair, the lettings side of Homesure never gave me any problems and provided a good service over the years. Unfortunately, my experience with their maintenance arm was the complete opposite — repeated problems with quality assurance, a lack of contractor accountability, and a tendency to let the job drag on and on.

This was meant to be a light refurbishment between tenants. Yes, there was an initial major water escape which required extended drying times, but even allowing for that, the project took over 10 months — an indefensible timeline. Communication was good, but timelines were never clearly defined or enforced with their sub-contractors.

When Homesure finally announced the work as “complete,” they assured me that “the property is in really good condition and vastly improved.” By then, I had resolved to part ways with Homesure and switched to a new letting agent. However, the inspection photos from my new managing agent painted a contrasting picture—sub-par finishes and sloppy workmanship.

At that point, I felt I had no option but to pay to have these errors fixed myself, as the project felt endless if left up to Homesure’s project management. It would simply never be finished.

The final insult came when the heating system was recommissioned: radiators had been incorrectly installed, leaking water onto brand new carpets and flooring.

In all a good lettings service, but their maintenance arm has been the most frustrating and costly contractor experience I’ve had as a landlord.

I recently moved out of my property and Cerys made the whole process smooth and stress-free from start to finish. She was friendly, professional, and always quick to respond to my questions. Her clear communication and helpful attitude really took the pressure off during what could have been a stressful time.

She went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled efficiently, and I truly appreciated her support and patience throughout the process. I would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and approachable agent.
