When I decided to buy a Honda

When I decided to buy a Honda, there was only one name on my mind: Ihsan Yaman. My trust in him was so strong that I drove all the way from New Jersey to Virginia. I bought my first Honda here — an HR-V — and later came back for a 2026 CR-V Hybrid. Two cars, same team, same trust.
When I ran into an unexpected issue with the CR-V Hybrid, I turned to Honda dealerships in New Jersey for help. Neither the problem was resolved nor was I treated with basic respect. Left with no options, I came back to Honda of Chantilly.
Ihsan Yaman, Rebecca Cornelius, Jamal Edmonds, and Ziad Rahme didn't hesitate for a second. They listened, they acted, and they replaced my vehicle with a brand-new one — no bureaucracy, no runaround, just pure professionalism and genuine customer care.

I took my accord for the fuel pump…

I took my accord for the fuel pump recall and they did a fantastic job my service advisor promised to get the car done in time and it was done even before time . Five star service at Honda of chantilly. Thanks will see you again for our service needs at your store. Thanks again

They stole my car!!

I sold my old car to this dealership on September 23 and gave them the title that same day. The paperwork I signed said I would get my check within 48-72 hours, but it has now been 15 business days, and I still haven’t received it.

I called multiple times over the past two weeks to ask about the check, but I’ve had a hard time getting any clear answers. Several employees said they would call me back, but they never did. When I called again today, I was told that the sales team hasn’t even sent my paperwork to accounting yet, and I’d need to wait another week. By that time, it will have been 20 business days, which is way longer than the promised 72 hours. Now when the phone rings to the sales department, it is unanswered, and I am instead redirected to service every time, so it's obvious that they are avoiding me.

What makes it worse is that the dealership already has my old car listed for sale on their website, but I’m still waiting to get paid. I understand things can get busy, but this is not the level of service I expected from such a big, well-known dealership.

If they had just communicated better and followed through on their promises, this experience could have been a lot smoother. I really hope they fix their process because this situation has caused me a lot of stress.

If you’re thinking about selling your car here, be careful!!! . I’m still waiting for my check, but if I don’t get it soon, I’ll have to escalate this to corporate, spread this to all of my social media followers, and lawyer up.

Don't buy a new Honda from Chantilly

Don't buy a new Honda, but if you do, don't go to Honda of Chantilly. I was excited and anxious about purchasing a new car. I did my research. My top pick was a Hybrid Camry, and the Honda Accord Hybrid was my second choice. I purchased a new car, but the requirement was that I needed to see it before conducting any transactions. My sales guy was new, but that wasn't an issue.

Eight months into having my shiny new car, the caps on my side view mirror begin to melt. I was about to head out on vacation, but I drove back to the dealership to get this issue resolved or on their radar for repair. The service department gave me the worst run around. The advisor, Amin Khatib, was the person I spoke with via telephone after going in person. After they took their photos and claimed they would call me. I waited weeks only to get a callback. I started calling him back. He said there were no recalls, and I had no extra warranty for my BRAND NEW CAR! He stated he would call back. I told him this was a warranty issue and a quality control issue. I told him the dealership could replace this product as I had not had the car for over eight months. He asked if I parked the car in the sun. WHAT? Sir. It's not my fault that Honda opted for poor-quality products, and parking my car outside does not mean that the parks should melt/warp.

I called the Honda Corporation. They took my complaint about both the issue and the horrible service. It was time for an oil change a month and a half later. I took it to a different service department in Woodbridge. The service department employees were beyond helpful and empathic. They paused me to say it was okay because the car wasn't a year old. They immediately ordered the part and repaired it the same week. The young lady, Deanna P., who took the lead on my car repairs, was very busy but was not dismissive like I experienced from the service department at Honda of Chantilly.

If you can't resist buying a Honda, go to the Woodbridge location. You will have a much better experience. If you're on the fence about Honda, buy a different car, or at least don't get the new one. Thank you, Deanna, for helping me to enjoy my car again!

Hidden costs of buying from Honda Chantilly

In December 2022 I purchased a pre-owned car, and the experience was sobering.

Right after signing the contract, I realized some noise was coming from the front wheels. At their service I learned that I needed to pay $1,700 to replace the struts.

This came after the salesman, Mr. Pirzada, assured me that the dealer will fix all the issues on the car. As soon as I signed the contract, they changed the tune: "The struts are not essential to pass the inspection, you have to pay $1,700".

On the way out, he handed me ONE key, and said - it will cost $350 to get another copy of the key.

Finally, he forgot to mail my documents to DMV, so I waited 2 months to receive the car registration.

I have a deep regret for doing business with Honda of Chantilly.

Honda of Chantilly makes buying a car easy and relaxed! We

Honda of Chantilly, VA is an excellent dealership that can move as fast or slow as you wish and need. We went from moving quickly to slowing down to moving quickly again to buy a new Honda Ofyssey.
Paul Thompson, our sales associate, and the dealership worked with us 110%.

Mr. Thompson was an amazing sales professional. He was a patient, extremely knowledgeable and detailed person.

We visited the showroom about five times and emailed numerous times.

He made the whole process from trade in, selection, and the paperwork very easy and relaxed.

This is the place and the person that I would recommend for auto purchasing.

We will be back! ❤️
