ex service from start to finish, Evie came to design our kitchen and was excellent and officiant giving great advice and planning, Tudor was great in organising the delivery and making sure everything was there ready to fit. Many thanks to all for a smooth buying experience.

Cupboards good quality and options for different price brackets

I’m deeply disappointed with my recent experience at Howdens Stroud and want to warn others about their apparent use of strategic ambiguity when purchasing.

After securing a price match for an Ikea kitchen, I explicitly asked if integrated soft-close mechanisms were included in the quote, as this matched the Ikea kitchen’s specs. They confirmed in writing that they were.

Three weeks later, when I was ready to pay and arrange delivery for the following week, I double-checked with the assistant about the integrated soft-close feature. They informed me it wasn’t included and would cost an extra £650. Their excuse was that the Ikea kitchen didn’t have integrated soft-close. I clarified that it did. They then claimed the Ikea soft-close wasn’t the superior ‘Blum’ brand. I pointed out that Ikea uses the same Blum soft-close hardware.

Despite repeatedly explaining this and highlighting their written confirmation that soft-close was included, they refused to honor the original quote.

No apology was offered for the significant inconvenience or their failure to stand by their initial commitment.

As a result, I was forced to urgently source a kitchen from another supplier to meet a strict deadline. I plan to file a formal complaint with Howdens, as this conduct falls far below acceptable customer service standards and fails to treat customers fairly. **Be cautious of Howdens’ unreliability as a supplier.**

I need a kitchen to fit in my uncles old house and Howdens stroud was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. I was not pressured in any way and they taken the time to make sure i was happy with the kitchen i wanted to buy. Plus they delivered it quickly too. I will definitely use them again for any future requirements.

The staff at the Stroud branch were all polite and helpful, the only drawback was they didn't have what I wanted in stock which wasn't a problem for me as it arrived the next day.👍

Kellee helped me design my kitchen, she had some great ideas and understood my needs right away. There were a few complicated sections and she came up with a few options.
During the process she was happy to discuss and change things around freely... I enjoyed working with her and with the other members of the team.
I'm very happy with the kitchen, it works nicely :)

Phoebe, our Kitchen Sales Designer, has been excellent to work with. Every time I had to make contact to clarify details Phoebe was always available, willing to help and accommodating. Howdens have acted quickly, the whole process from the initial consultation to finalising delivery has been very smooth. The range of choice of products has been extensive and we have been able to design a great quality kitchen that fits within our budget.

We often use Howdens for multiple projects which encompasses many different materials and designs including, kitchens, bedrooms, home offices, flooring etc.
The materials and stock availability at Stroud are good, Chris & Brad are helpful and will do their utmost to assist. We work closely with Kellee, one of the designers who is excellent, creative, and incredibly professional with our clients is something we can rely on. Her technical knowledge and project skills are second to none and her ability to create spaces outside of the box is visionary . We cannot recommend Kellee & Stroud branch highly enough. Thankyou.

My elderly mum has a very small kitchen which needed updating and making more user friendly for her. The kitchen designer visited her home and came up with a design that utilised the space well. She spent time explaining different options and my mum is really pleased with the result.

Alex Griffith helped us design our kitchen last year, he was extremely patient and accommodating with our changes of mind. The kitchen has since been installed and we are extremely happy with it.
Today we popped into Howdens, Stroud and were very pleased to bump into Alex as we have decided on buying a further wall unit.
Once again it was no trouble and he organised it 'on the spot' and discussed dimensions and the light aspect.
We highly recommend Alex as effective and very good kitchen designer.

Thoroughly enjoying our new kitchen now that it is in and we found the design process with Kellee at Howden's Stroud branch enjoyable and stress free. Kellee's experience, aye for detail alongside her friendly and professional approach had an awful lot to do with that. Would highly recommend Howdens and Kellee in particular.

our kitchen planner was Evie who listened to all of our requirements and designed the kitchen to suit our needs perfectly everything was delivered on the day that was stated and is now all fitted and looks great 👍👍👍
