By mistake i ordered he wrong item but they were great. Happy to change it with no questions. I would use them again for sure.

Easy to buy & good quality products

I placed an order for my wedding ring on the morning of 2nd June, solely because I was assured it would be ready for collection on 4th June. I clearly stated that I am flying abroad on Sunday for my wedding, so that date was absolutely essential.

Today (5th June), I visited the store to collect the ring, only to be told that it has not even been dispatched from the warehouse yet. A member of staff called to check the status, but was unable to provide any clear answers, and there is still no indication of when (or if) the ring will arrive. Meanwhile, my fiancé collected his ring without any issues, and I have not received any dispatch notification or update regarding mine.

To make things even more frustrating, I checked the store’s website today, and it shows that the same ring, in the same size, could be ready for collection tomorrow in the same branch. That simply doesn’t make sense — I’ve been waiting three days already, and yet somehow a new order placed now could arrive faster? Something clearly isn’t right.

The only solution I was offered was that they will “try” and that if it doesn’t arrive in time, I’ll receive a refund. With respect, I don’t want a refund — I want the ring I ordered, and I ordered it on the basis of a clear assurance that it would be ready on time. That was a condition of the sale.

I genuinely cannot understand how a company can make such firm promises, only to fail to follow through — and then offer no concrete information or resolution.

This isn’t just any purchase — it’s my wedding ring, and I now have no choice but to wait and hope it miraculously arrives before the end of the week, just before I leave for my wedding.

This experience has left me deeply disappointed. You simply cannot treat customers this way — it’s unacceptable.

At this moment in time, I cannot recommend this store, which is very disappointing given the importance of this purchase.

However, I truly hope that the situation will be resolved by the end of the week — and that I’ll be able to update this review with a more positive outcome.

Do not ever go to this company to have jewellery repaired. I took a ring there they were supposed to resize it by a size larger instead of adding gold they completely destroyed the inside of my ring by removing a large layer of gold in the process erasing the hall mark. On top of this i also took a crucifix solid gold to them to have a new link added to it all they did was get a piece of cold wire and solder it we specifically asked for a real link, on top of this they destroyed the hallmark on the cross too.

One star is just not appropriate!!
I’ve bought many pieces of jewellery from this store, a gold necklace, engagement ring, a diamond tennis bracket on which I have paid a large amount of money & all these pieces have either broken, snapped off or the stone has fallen out the ring.
I went back to the store to complain about these damaged items & all I got was feeble excuses. It’s pathetic, & I don’t appreciate being snubbed off.
I won’t but from this store or any h Samuel store again. I spent a large amount of money on jewellery that is now broken & I can’t fix. Disgusting

I really don’t like complaining, but after visiting the store in Coventry today, I feel the need to say how bad the service was when asking for assistance to try on a bracelet for my mum’s birthday, we found the bracelet my mum wanted and asked the lady if she could try it on as my
Mother is elderly, I asked the lady to fasten the bracelet, to be looked at like this is an unusual request, and then shown her hands and said I can’t as I’ve got long nails ! I’m
Sorry but working in this environment with long false nails, so you can’t assist with the fastening should not be allowed. I walked away shocked, what should have been made a special occasion was not by staff.

Shopped about and H Samuel gave the best customer service and the best value for money

Great service from Jo. She greeted with a pleasant welcoming smile. Made me feel so welcome. Just came in for a battery but the service I got I would definitely go back again.
