H.Samuel - Halifax Avis 17

Bought a eternity ring in 2022, it was white gold, after a while the white gold was going yellow, took it back they eventually sent it for repair, was called to say all the stones were loose and it would be about six weeks and they wanted to charge me, I had taken out pc cover and they were still trying to charge me, ring comes back about two months later, was told not to wear it if I was going to do anything like washing up washing my hands ect, about three weeks later stone goes missing from the ring and it was going yellow again, took it back to shop, still under pc cover, once again tried to charge me for repair even though I had shown them the cover, off it goes to be mended, two weeks they said, three weeks later I ring up is my ring ready, erm no we are waiting for a quote so we know what to charge you, no say I it's got cover, oh right almost two months later got a call to say it's ready, picked it up and was told it's more of a dress ring so only wear if going out , no I said it's an eternity ring, well we think it's more of a dress ring, checked in catalogue was definitely an eternity ring but one I can't wear, so as far as I am concerned the ring is not fit for purpose, totally disappointed, ring is inbox as I dare not wear it in case I lose another stone as it seems h Samuel has had my ring more than myself.

I had a very enjoyable experience at the Halifax branch of H.Samuel The young lady who served me was very friendly x polite x nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend the Halifax store to everyone who are looking to buy jewellery

I have visited your location in Halifax last week to purchase a watch for my husband as a surprise gift and received excellent service from Annette.She was extremely helpful in answering all my questions,very knowledgeable and extremelly polite. She all kept her cool when dealing with an extremely rude lad in the que.She is a credit to your business

I needed two links removing from a bracelet l had purchased to help with arthritis. The H Samuel, Halifax, member of staff was friendly, helpful and professional and the extraction and reassembly was completed within 5 minutes. My only complaint is, they charged £20.00 for a job that must be simplicity itself for a jeweller. I was expecting £5.00, but would have paid £10.00. In my opinion, £20.00 is exorbitant.

Service at store was mediocre. Store sealed off due to covid rules as expected. Staff member domineering yet not pushy. Didn't seem interested with our query and didn't make any recommendations to our line of choice in bracelets or earrings.Spent ages packing goods. Focused a lot on what we couldn't do in terms of exchange and refunds. Not the best experience.

Very helpful and honest would come back to shop here again

I needed to replace my watch battery. Due to Covid restrictions there was a barrier across the doorway and only one customer allowed in the shop at one time. I didn't have to wait and was immediately approached by a staff member who invited me into the shop and promptly replaced the battery within a couple of minutes, having told me the cost beforehand, which was considerably less than I had been quoted by a Timpson's counter in a supermarket. She was efficient, welcoming and helpful. I paid by card and was invited to complete this survey.
