Had an employment law case to be resolved recently as I was being made redundant. I received a first class service from Hunter Lawyers and their staff. My lawyer was Jeff Kong and even though I was feeling the stress, Jeff was an ever present calming influence throughout the whole process until the matter was resolved to my satisfaction. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Do not use these COWBOYS in suits.

They raise expectations of a favourable outcome, then when things don't materialise as they advise, claim that I misunderstood them.

After the initial consultation,which they claim is free , but it clearly is not , then most of my interactions were with the poor receptionist , due to him being unavailable all the time and fobbing me off with lame excuses , like being with clients, in meetings all the time and not returning my calls.
They charge high fees , but don't make themselves available to discuss the case.
Additionally , all the correspondence they sent out to my employer, who I was making the claim against, was sent to the wrong Head Office address in Bradford, who had not heard of me and were only sent 2nd class , so took almost a week to arrive.
Despite repeated reminders from me , they should have addressed all correspondence to the HR dept at my place of work in Chester , which resulted in me having to face embarrassing phone calls from my employer in Chester, who were unaware that a claim was being made by me for disability discrimination.
Do not use these COWBOYS in suits.
There have been many 1stars given to Hunter Lawyers. We cannot all be wrong can we ?
Additionally, it is the same COWBOY firm , its just that you moved a few years ago from Hunter St , by Chester Town Hall to downmarket , run down Brook St. where the rent and rates will be cheaper.
Finally, the expectation is for perfection as standard , I don't leave feedback if that is the case , I only leave feedback where there is room for improvement and that is why I gave a 1 star, as have many others , because that's all you deserve.

Hunter Lawyers helped me with my employment case. I am so pleased that I was able to get a large settlement without having to go to court. I instructed Alex Tomley and Jeff Kong from Hunter Lawyers on a fixed fee and I would highly recommend them.

I had an awful experience with Hunter lawyers, and I do not recommend them at all. Have to acknowledge they eventually refunded me a small amount of compensation for service paid. Loss paid because of the way they handled my case. I totally got fed up with Hunters because of long delays to do the job that I paid for. I had to resort to pick another lawyer who explained my case in an entirely different way. I cannot justify the positive reviews on Trust Pilot with the experience I had with them. In my experience of how they handled my case was a proper mess, so be very cautious on choosing a lawyer. I learnt the hard way.

Excellent communication, with swift replies. Jeff Kong has been an invaluable and knowledgeable source of support during a protracted employment case. He clearly understands the depth and scope of the problems that need careful handling and offered supportive and objective advice and support, including a clear understanding of the emotional pressure and stress during what can be a very difficult situation. The outcome was, I believe, satisfactory to all parties.

Many thanks to the Team at Hunter Lawyers, I was offered a free consultation by Kelly to consult with Alexander Tomley Solicitor, Alex advised me in relation to my Settlement Agreement and the low amount which I was offered, given the length of service with my Employer, Alex advised me that this was an unfair offer, and thanks to Alex after many negotiations with my Employer I was offered a further £3,000.
