Exceptional service from a local Derby company

I recently worked with Hunters in Derby to design and install my new Neptune kitchen, and also purchased Venjakob dining furniture through them. From start to finish the whole experience was excellent.

The designer, Nina, really took the time to understand what I wanted and came up with ideas that perfectly suited our home and lifestyle. Nothing felt rushed and I always felt confident that I was in good hands.

Installation was carried out professionally and with great attention to detail, and the communication throughout the project was first class. The finished kitchen looks amazing and the Venjakob furniture complements it beautifully.

I am absolutely delighted with the result and would highly recommend Hunters in Derby to anyone looking for high-quality kitchens and furniture with outstanding personal service.

I went to hunters to get a new sofa for my flat, the team were very helpfull and i found juat what i was looking for.

Great high quality products, the stores well laid out and easy to get to plus the staff are very knowledgeable.

Honestly, Hunters is my go to place for furniture.
I won’t go anywhere else, Matt Nina and the team always make me feel welcome and the service is second to none.
It’s nice buying from a family ran independent store rather than your faceless corporations.

Absolutely impeccable service. Very attentive staff and a lovely, homely atmosphere. Can tell it’s a proud, independent firm and can’t rate the quality of the product and the team enough. Delivery and takeaway service is excellent if you’ve got old furniture being replaced. In store design team are extremely professional and able to help anyone (like me) with no clue about design get a good feel for why to buy and why. Finally, the cafe is also excellent if you need a break from browsing.

We bought 2 Stressless chairs based on information given in-store. However, this turned out to be incorrect & even a second member of staff, visiting to discuss our concerns, confirmed what turned out to be untrue. Stressless themselves recommend that various points should be considered before choosing which chair but we were made aware of none. After only two weeks, we found the chairs were too uncomfortable to use as we were unable to use the function they had described. There were also unidentifiable marks on the leather & one chair had a 'creaking' noise so we contacted Hunters.
A member of staff was sent to examine the creak but regarding the other concerns, he told us twice that we had 'bought the wrong chairs!” He also gave us false information about the function of our chairs & stated that all the chairs in the store had similar leather marks. This too was untrue.
After more than 7 weeks, Hunters arranged for an independent technician to call who confirmed that we were correct in ALL our concerns and Hunters took the chairs back.
The owner, Matthew had dismissed all our concerns throughout, apart from the creak so had unnecessarily caused us weeks of extreme stress and discomfort & we are now having to wait for newly ordered chairs from another store. Hunters gave us the worst customer care ever & have never had the decency/manners to apologise.
