The company provides valuable and life changing employability skills and training.
They are organised and effective in their response to queries and customer service. I would highly recommend this company to businesses.

I really valued the occasional check-ins from HyerionDev to follow up on my progress and see how I was finding the course. The support channel we had as students for booking one-on-one sessions was also very helpful.

I had a problem with payment and I spoke to Tiffany Desmore, at first the solutions they had to my problem were not going to help me but Tiffany worked really hard at finding a solution which was favorable and I couldn't be more grateful to her and Hyperion Dev for accommodating me. Thank you very much.

🚨 Warning - Scam Alert: CoGrammar / HyperionDev Bootcamp 🚨
I want to share my experience with the CoGrammar/HyperionDev bootcamp to help others avoid the same trap. First off, it’s important to know that CoGrammar is actually HyperionDev. They use both names in a way that can easily confuse students, and the student platform itself is all HyperionDev—which is pretty simple to verify. This name-juggling feels like it’s there to throw people off rather than be transparent.
Recently, I received an email demanding £4950 for the program, with a quick-pay “discount” if I settled it fast. They claimed I missed a deadline to submit a job offer, but this course was advertised as fully funded.
🔍 Key details from their email:
£4950 due, with discounts if paid quickly
Threats of legal action if I don’t pay up
Payment plans starting at £199/month
⚠️ Shortly after, I got a letter from the Department for Education, stating:
"All DfE-funded Skills Bootcamps should be provided free of charge to learners. If your provider requests payment for any element of your Skills Bootcamp, we would advise against making payment."
At this point, it’s clear to me they’re trying to charge for something that was supposed to be free, and I wouldn’t be surprised if others are feeling the same pressure.
📢 If you’re considering or already part of this bootcamp, be careful! Don’t fall for what looks like a very questionable practice. I’ve included the official communication from the Department for Education in the attached screenshot for reference.
🚨 Let’s spread the word and prevent others from being scammed!

My journey with HyperionDev has been amazing. I've thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my time learning from their amazing and helpful team of mentors. I have gained new digital skills that will be extremely useful in my career path. Top tier on all levels.

Be very careful hyperiondev/cogrammar say they will fully fund your learning and are supported by the uk Department of Education. But if you fail to get a job with 4 weeks of finishing the course they start demanding money starting at £5000 then reducing to just over £1000 and then threatening to take court action to retrieve money.this is because they get paid in three steps by DoE. If you fail to get a job within 4 weeks, the DoE withhold the last payment to this company. After contacting DoF they sent out an email suggesting people do not pay this company any monies. It's good to know lessons are based in South Africa and are plagued by power cuts which terminate lessons abruptly. The content and delivery of said lessons is not fit for purpose. Please steer clear. The idea of a free fully funded coding course is enticing but DONT GO THERE .

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to follow up on the feedback I have provided you regarding the lectures, as I have not received a response. Would you recommend that I escalate this to the Department of Education, which is funding my course?
I also wanted to express concerns regarding the sessions with certain tutor. My questions during the session were ignored, which hindered my ability to keep up.
Could you kindly clarify why my emails have been overlooked? I am prepared to escalate the issue externally to relevant government bodies.
I would also appreciate clarification regarding the below reviews. According to my contract, my bootcamp is fully funded by the Department for Education (DfE), and there is no clause stating that I am liable for payment if I am unable to secure employment. I request that this matter be addressed immediately and promptly. If not, I will have no choice but to contact the DfE directly and explore legal options.
UPDATE!
I would like to express my appreciation for the positive resolution of my recent escalation with Cogrammar/Hyperiondev above. I received a satisfactory response, and I want to extend a special thanks to Tevin for his dedicated attention to my concerns. I look forward to continuing my learning journey with Cogrammar.

My experience with the HyperionDev Web Development Bootcamp has been overwhelmingly positive. The bootcamp provided me with the practical skills and knowledge necessary to build a strong foundation in web development. The curriculum was well-structured, covering essential topics like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks, which I found both challenging and engaging.
One of the standout features was the personalized feedback and support from mentors. Their guidance not only helped me improve my coding abilities but also encouraged me to think critically and solve problems more efficiently. I appreciated how the program focused on real-world projects, allowing me to apply the concepts I learned in a practical setting. This hands-on experience gave me the confidence to tackle more complex challenges, and I saw tangible improvements in my coding skills with each task.
Moreover, the flexibility of the program made it easier to balance learning with other commitments. Overall, the bootcamp has been an invaluable step toward my goal of becoming a web developer, and I feel well-prepared to continue advancing in this field. I highly recommend the HyperionDev Web Development Bootcamp to anyone looking to jumpstart their tech career.

Don't undertake a Department for Education Skills bootcamp unless you already have a job lined up.
It is NOT suitable if you are already in a career as you will not be able to benefit from many of the entry level roles out there due to being 'too experienced'. If you have a higher degree (e.g. Masters or other professional qualification) you will be ineligible for most government funded Apprenticeship which is much of the job opportunities that are promoted by the company. Please bare this in mind because failure to get a job will result in you being required to pay the tuition fee!
Depending on the job market or your previous experience, you will struggle to find work if you are looking for anything other than the most basic work which is often AI verification and manual data entry jobs for AI development for poorly regarded firms that scrape personal data and don't pay. Much of this work will not utilise many of the skills that you have learnt on this course.
I have spoken to several friends and colleagues who work in web and data roles who would not employ for many of their entry roles based upon knowledge gained from these bootcamps.
I was advertised this course as an opportunity to upskill for a career change from another skilled profession, but the content of this bootcamp is pretty shallow on completion and not enough to meet the requirements of many entry level Data and Machine learning roles.
1. The curriculum content was not provided with much detail before signing up and there was not much in the way of communication about what would be covered by the programme before it commenced
2. Many of the lectures, whilst interesting was mostly reading from slides with minimal opportunities to really go into depth about the code. The tasks themselves required little more than following instructions provided on the help documents and following through with tutorials.
3. Whilst the careers team were relatively pleasant, I was given conflicting information regarding CV writing and ultimately this service focuses on using LinkedIn as the one of the only source for finding jobs. Information was geared towards people from possibly low skilled or non-professional roles and the support for people transitioning from more senior roles in other fields was severely limited.
I will not go as far as to say that their bootcamps are a scam, but they are very shallow in the content that they provide and they seem geared towards students filling low skilled, data entry work rather than meaningful roles that would support professional development.
EDIT: As of 20th October. Not received any communication regarding this review from HyperionDev
EDIT 2: Asked to take this down as they think it belongs on CoGrammar page. Unfortunately I have numerous emails from HyperionDev and customer support goes through HyperionDev

Réponse de HyperionDev
I have some coding knowledge, and expected to be bored, but the lessons are shoring up the basics while still being interesting and challenging

Réponse de HyperionDev
The bootcamp has been a great experience overall regardless of the challenges and setbacks I used to face in the long run, the support and mentorship team always made sure I am on the right track.
