The IDOL Academy is a thorough program that takes you through each necessary steps to learn and become an Instructional Designer.

IDOL Courses Academy continues to teach and support me invaluably. The level of expertise within the Academy in instructional design and development has prepared me to land and be successful in a new career! The fact that membership is lifetime means I will be able to stay in contact, assist others, and ask anything at any time!

I finally completed my MVP portfolio. The hardest part was devoting the much needed time to create all the detailed assets and graphics. I got stuck on the simple things at first (ie: font/color pallet/ overall design) and the fear of doing something totally new. I had a really long pause between when i actually enrolled to the completion of my first badge (LIFE). But I am glad that I am being resilient and not giving up!

IDOL Courses Academy is the best!

This was EXACTLY the practical training that I needed to transition from a Consultant to an ID. The mentor sessions and coach feedback are impactful. The course library is in-depth and has everything you could possibly need to become an ID with no previous training. I am so grateful to IDOL for helping me make the transition. Having a community of people to reach out to for support and education has been key to my success. Thank you Dr. Robin!

I have thoroughly enjoyed my experiences so far with IDOL Academy. In a short time, I have learned a lot about the different adult learning models and theories, and have created several assets for my portfolio.

There is a lot to learn in this academy but I love that you can choose your own learning path and bounce between paths if you'd like. I've created a lot of assets for my portfolio and I've received great feedback and support from other participants, coaches, and mentors.

I've loved my experience with IDOL courses because not only do I get all the learning material I need to learn about instructional design in one place, there is also a community to answer questions, provide support and motivation, and give feedback on my work. I'm so glad I enrolled in IDOL!

This was a tough test and I had to go back and review some things.

IDOL Courses has given me direction and confidence to progress in my career in Digital Learning. I am glad I took the decision to enroll in the IDOL course. Over the past 8 weeks I have learned a lot about Instructional Design. Dr. Robin Sargent and her group of mentors and coaches are wonderful and very informative. The fact that you are never "behind" is a positive thing for me because I did struggle with completing tasks as the school year for me was coming to a close. I am still able to create and submit items and am now getting closer to my goal. Having lifetime access is definitely a win for me and I look forward to my continued learning with IDOL Courses Academy.

This experience is geared towards the professional adult - no matter where you are in your experience level. I had the choice of going at my own pace, and every aspect is covered - from how to choose colors, create a portfolio, to updating social media and resumes, to all aspects of designing and tools used in ID and LD. The wonderful people that work tirelessly for my success, especially Dr. Robin and her mentors, are what really makes it a personal experience rather than simply a series of lessons. I have learned that I can design a course, give feedback, and be confident in my new career as an ID. And, I have a lifetime access to all lessons, courses and updated webinars, mentor groups and fellow IDOLS. Couldn't be happier with the value of this academy.

IDOL Academy is a fantastic place to learn and grow your skills as an instructional designer. I started the course as a teacher and soon after landed my first job as an instructional designer! The support from Dr. Robin Sargent, the mentors, and the rest of the community is unmatched! This course differs from others like it in that it you work at your own pace, and you have lifetime access! It has every topic you could need, taught by a plethora of fantastic experts, from optimizing your Linkedin profile and resume to creating a portfolio, working as a freelancer, and everything in between.

IDOL Courses is a great place to begin if you're thinking about transitioning to Instructional Design. Everything you need to get started is right there at your fingertips, AND you have lifetime access to it. It has been such a rewarding experience. I have learned so much, and I feel very ready to apply to jobs and move into the next phase of my career.

I joined IDOL academy because it was highly rated by many in the instructional design groups I follow. The price was more reasonable than most of the other academies I considered joining, and the program seemed much more well-developed. I also took a look at the portfolios of some of their graduates and was impressed. The variety in the style and energy of portfolios was very interesting to me. After participating in the program, I can say it was well worth my time (and money), because it gave me the jump start I needed to put together my own portfolio, update my resume and LinkedIn profile, and feel confident in my new skills. I especially liked the constant feedback I received from mentors, coaches and other academy members, and the community that was built. I also like the fact that I am a lifetime member. Most people transitioning to a new profession can not spent 40 hours a week working on the transition. So the idea of "never being behind" in the program was very comforting. They have incentives and prizes and contests to keep pushing you along, but no punishments for taking longer than others to work your way through the learning. I will undoubtedly come back to the academy often to upskill and engage with other instructional designers, as there is so much more learning available than I could take advantage of during my 8 week cohort.

I can't even begin to tell you how much IDOL courses have changed my life. The Academy is amazing, and the support is unmatched!

Great place to learn about Instructional Design.

The collection of resources found in IDOL is amazing. There's so much at your fingertips it's almost overwhelming...but in a good way.

This is the best decision I made for myself, my family, and my career. I knew I wanted to move into Instructional Design, but I needed direction and help. The access to coaches and mentors and material is not only easy to follow but applicable to the real world of ID and is what was so invaluable. The networking I've been able to do over the past 8 weeks, the portfolio I've created, and the confidence I've gained will only allow me to keep working towards my goals, and I've no doubt I'll reach them.
