Cords fray, unable to use rhe blinds. Customer service very unhelpful and would not replace even though they do.not work. Expensive mistake!

Cords fray which makes the blind’s inoperable.company we purchased them from have offered good service but surely the guarantee should be more than 12 months as they are the most expensive blind on the market.Is intu using poor quality cord.We have had 3 blinds go so far turning out to be an expensive mistake as we had conservatory and kitchen fitted with them

These blinds initially looked great but just after a year the cords frayed and snapped. I have 3 blinds, 2 of the 3 frayed. This makes the blinds inoperable and I have to say not fit for purpose. I contacted Intu who advised the warranty was only for 12 months, very poor customer service, basically not interested. These blinds are expensive and should last much longer than 12 months. I contacted the company who fitted them who have been excellent. They have refitted parts, a metal burr causing the fraying and fitted new cords. Hopefully this will rectify the problems.
However, I would not purchase these again. Not fit for purpose and very expensive only to last just over 12 months. Terrible customer service from Intu, you really need to value your customers.

Nice looking blinds, easy to fit as we needed new replacement windows after 1 year of having them. However after 2 years of use one side of the blind has a badly frayed chord. It will break at some point. I am struggling to find information on how to replace it. The original local blind supplier has ceased trading.

Very good blinds though expensive. However the cord has frayed on a second blind rendering it inoperable.
Not good for a pricey blind.
A year on and all 4 blinds became inoperable due to frayed cords. As the company charge £50 (+initial carriage) to re-cord a blind, we successfully managed to do it ourselves for a fraction of the cost but a lot of fiddling about. Then the cord on the other side went! So we’ve now replaced 4 x2 cords in less than 3 years. Purchase with caution.
6 and 12 months on - more frayed cords. It’s now become a dreaded chore as at regular intervals all the blinds fall down. DONT BUY

I bought two blackout roller blinds for a bedroom. I had done some research on perfect blinds v's intu blinds. There is less intrusion in to the window area with Intu and thats why I opted for these. I have a blackout roller blind in a skylight and no light gets through at all. Unfortunately the Intu design allows light around the cassette area, also at the bottom where the handle you use to raise and lower the blind meets the beading of the window. The quality of the plastics used in the blinds is average at best. Where the handle meets the window there should be a rubber strip similar to the material that seals door frames as can be found on skylight window blinds.

Neat looking roller blinds fitted on kitchen windows in August by Budget Blinds of Horwich .So pleased with them we had them fitted to the bedroom window too More expensive than than conventional blinds but look so much neater .

I am an intu customer with 7years of experience,they're in inconstant use in our bathroom,We wanted blinds that had no hanging parts,no drilling on our new windows & looked the job,last week whilst cleaning the inside of the glass I accidentally broke one of the brackets, I tried to source a replacement from numerous blind shops, to no avail. Eventually I phoned Intu customer services in Scotland, the lady who took my call was amazing & offered new replacements to be put in the post immediately, free gratis.
This is what I call excellent back up customer service,I paid a bit more for the blinds now I know why.

Intu accepted my order but then changed their minimum dimensions without bothering to tell me so only supplied part of the order. The blinds supplied are not fit for purpose as they do not close fully. The poor design means the bottom bar fouls the brackets at the bottom leaving a 10mm gap. For blinds that close at eye level it means you can see out and people can see in. If you do not open and close them very carefully they catch on the clips holding the side guide strips in place and pull out the clips. One of the blinds was delivered with the cords having not been threaded through. After contacting customer service they have ignored my email. Absolutely pathetic design and customer service from a pathetic company. Do not waste your money.
