Very nice pice of furniture stylish and elegant however downside is communication and traceability of the order. This company would do themselves a favour if they got a bit better tracking system. And please for the price of the delivery help your customers to deliver to the door as not everyone have someone to help. Thank you.

Great item, not the best company though!

I just want to start by saying that the Police Box Bar Cabinet we purchased was absolutely worth the wait! We love it!

However, the company as a whole didn't give the best experience.

We ordered this at the beginning of January, expecting 8-10 weeks lead time. We only just received the item yesterday, making it a 17 week wait.

We kept regularly emailing the company for updates, and we were being told when it was expected to be delivered to the warehouse. This kept getting pushed back, with an apology and saying that the lead times are only estimates.

The item was finally delivered to the warehouse this Tuesday. We were only given 2 days notice of delivery, and the slot given was AM. I tried to ask if they could do PM and they said it wasn't possible, and the next delivery would be in a few weeks if we couldn't be in.

As my partner and I both work in schools and hospitals, you can't just get time off with 2 days notice to be in for a delivery. I had to get my Mother in Law to get to the house for delivery, and was told we were first on the list of deliveries, and she needed to get there for 8am.

The delivery company turned up at 7.30am. Luckily they waited for my Mother in Law to arrive. However, the delivery experience wasn't good because they scratched my karndean LVT flooring between the hallway and dining room. They must have realised, because they used a trolley to take it the rest of the way to the conservatory. They didn't unbox the item, which was risky because if there was any issues, I'd have had to have waited for them to take it back. It was quite difficult too for me to unbox due to the size and weight of the item.

Overall, I'm happy with the item. Its beautiful, well made and looks amazing in my conservatory. However, the company needs to look at giving more accurate lead times and more flexible delivery slots. I probably would not use the company again because of this.

Absolutely love it !

My home is a large Victorian era house, and finding furniture that doesn’t lean too heavily into “antique” or overly traditional styles can be a real challenge.
After a lot of searching, I found a Versailles sideboard on the Island Furniture website that really stood out. Of course, you never quite know if something will work until it’s in place—but I’m so happy to say it’s a perfect fit.
Absolutely love it. A big thank you!

Please do not buy from this company

Please do not buy from this company! I was told after purchasing that there was an 8 week wait for delivery. Then I had to email them asking when my item would be delivered to then be told it would be another 4 weeks wait. I still hadn’t heard anything after the 4 weeks and have now requested a refund. They have not responded to my refund request. Awful customer service.

This company finally responded to my refund request after a considerable amount of time. They asked for me to send over my bank details via email in order to issue a refund. I had to explain to them that providing my bank details via email was not a secure or appropriate method for processing payments and that as a retailer, they are required to process the refund using my original payment method used at checkout. It took them 8 days to respond to my email whereby they said they had now issued the refund to my original payment method and to expect it in my account within 2-3 working days. This was on the 3rd of December. It is now the 16th December and I have yet to receive my refund. I cannot stress how much potential buyers need to avoid this company!

5* Company would highly recommend The lady we spoke to was very helpful…

The lady we spoke to was very helpful went above and beyond to help, as we’d had a bad previous experience with another company we wanted to cover all basis, she sent us everything we asked for in writing, put it on a next day delivery, arrived to us before 9 o’clock the next morning in good condition, all wrapped up. And as expected I would highly recommend them as a company, in all ways.

Absolutely delighted with the new table…

Absolutely delighted with the new table and chair set that arrived. It is beautifully made , quite sturdy, and a lovely sheen to reflect the wood grain. Delivery was smooth and right on time. A special thank you to the driver—friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful with getting everything in place. This is our 2nd order with Island Furniture and it was a great experience from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Throne Chair

I was searching everywhere for a Throne chair for my saloon and couldn’t find anything that really fitted the look I wanted—until Island Furniture Co popped up in my Facebook feed - the design and colour of the fabric got my attention straight away.
The craftsmanship is excellent, and I was initially concerned that the chairs might not be comfortable , but I was completely wrong. They’re surprisingly supportive and really comfortable to sit on. Very happy with my purchase.

We are delighted with our new Versailles glazed book case which arrived last week. Now we can get all our books etc out of the cardboard boxes cluttering up the room. Lovely colour and finish to the item

We recently moved house and in the process of moving we damaged one of our bedroom chests. After contacting Island Furniture they arranged to pick up the item and repair it in their workshop. It came back as new and no charge. Very grateful for the help and service we received from this company

Just in time

I recently purchased the Gold throne chair and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. It's absolutely beautiful - exactly what I was looking for and more. It looks fab in situ and my customers have been asking where I bought it , so I will be putting a few sales your way. Thanks for the fast delivery for my saloon opening, it got there just in time.

DO NOT PURCHASE From this company!! No warning on website about 2 month lead time! Over £900 for a chest of drawers that looks miles cheaper than ikea stuff (and that’s doing Ikea an injustice). Made up fake delivery dates, multiple ‘failed’ deliveries. Item then arrives damaged in many places and partially re sprayed in a different finish to the majority of the furniture. Company refunded £450 of the £900 and send a touch up kit.

Stay well away from this company

Stay well away from this company. Completely and utterly useless and waste of time. When you place an order on the Website it doesn’t state that delivery times are 8-10 weeks. After placing my order I received a phone call the next day to inform me that was the case, anyway I accepted the long wait time. No more updates or communication received from them at all. I contacted them after 8 weeks and was told that I had to wait until the 10 weeks deadline. After 10 weeks waiting i again contacted them and received a rude reply to say that I had ordered a super king bed which takes a long time to make and I had to wait a further 3 weeks for them to receive it in their warehouse then I would be contacted for the delivery date. Yes as you can imagine that 3 weeks came and went and no communication or apology from the company. I did ask for someone from the management team to contact me but nothing. After 14 weeks of waiting my patience had finally run out. I contacted them and requested a refund. I had to confirm that I wanted a refund twice before they acknowledged that I wanted a refund. I was informed that this would take 4 days to come into my account but it didn’t. After more emails I finally received my refund. This company is the worst and do not respect their customers. Their customer service is nonexistent, avoid avoid avoid

This is a quality product which instantly takes your attention. We ordered the Eloise chaise in gold and white faux leather , communication with the seller was good in relation to delivery and the delivery driver helped us to move it into the bedroom upstairs. A very good purchase experience

2nd Order

After a great experience with my first order , I decided to place a 2nd order for bedside cabinets to match the bed that I bought. I am happy to say the quality and service remained the same , the ordering was straight forward and delivery was on schedule. Clearly good customer experience is a priority here.

Asymmetric Circular Bookcase

Ordered Asymmetric Circular Bookcase from Island Furniture - all I can say is how beautiful it is , from ordering to delivery has been flawless , the bookcase is made from quality teak wood with a stunning satin finish, I’ve added a 24” tv to the centre shelf for that little extra touch , it’s looks beautiful in my reading room , I’ve received so many compliments on this gorgeous feature. I can’t be happier- Thank you island furniture and staff .

Island Furniture Co - Actively Making My Sleep Worse

This is a terrible, awful business to work with. I wish I’d read these reviews before making an order. I was in too much of a hurry.

If you’re here considering buying something from Island Furniture Co, my advice would be to stay away.

I ordered a Versailles Sleigh bed, the replace one we bought from Barker and Stonehouse about fifteen years ago.

Delivery was awful to start with - we were sent a massive pallet that was abandoned on our driveway in the middle of the day. No help bringing it in. No warning it was coming until on the day.

When I complained, they said it was down the the courier - as if they didn’t instruct them and the courier just decided themselves which service to provide.

The bed itself was a shabby shambles. It had dents and marks in various places, the wood had split, and it wouldn’t go together. The quality was very, very poor, and so we sent it back.

When I complained there was no apology, no want to understand, just a cold process. I got the firm impression they just didn’t care.

The collection was as shabby at the delivery - no warning and were it not for the help of the delivery driver, my wife would have had to carry a super long size bed to the pavement herself. Driver had been told not to help, I think he acted like a human and didn’t anyway.

Again, Island Furniture Co acted like they hadn’t ordered the discount service and make out this was the courier’s fault.

The bed arrived back with them the next day and on 21FEB I chased it up. Apparently it would take a week to get my money back.

A week later I chased it up and I was told they need my bank details - it isn’t clear why they didn’t ask for this at the time, or indeed why they couldn’t just refund the payment to the card.

I chased again today having not had anything back after ten days, to be told it’ll take another three.

Being frank, these sound like delay tactics to me.

Nobody as island furniture co has taken a bit of interest in this problem, there’s been no sincerity, no drive to solve things, and if I was not pushing this I think I’d still have a shabby bed.

So in my experience island furniture co is poor at arranging things, poor in dealing with customers, sell poor quality beds, offers unsuitable delivery, isn’t very good at solving problems, plays delay tactics with refunds, and is about as sincere as loud fart in a quiet church.

I wonder how long it will take to get my money back? I wonder if I’m going to have to sue them? Do a chargeback? Either way, you need to know they’ve been awful with me and with others before parting with your money.

That dehumanized response is exactly how they were during the whole debacle. Ask yourself - do you want to deal with that?

You placed the order on 24 Jan 2025 and we informed you delivery would be within 1-2 weeks via our kerbside service. We dispatched the bed on 6th Feb and you recieved and signed for the bed 10 Feb and you emailed to say you and your wife struggled getting the bed up the stairs. We did explain to you that with kerkside delivery the driver does not enter your house and it is the customer that has to move the item indoors.
We do understand this is a very big bed however we do offer a room of choice delivery option which does cost a lot more but it is to room of choice.
You emailed us on the 17th Feb to say you could not get the bed together so we agreed to collect and refund. This bed has been collected and the refund done as per our terms and conditions of sale which you agreed to.

Absolutely dreadful company!

Absolutely dreadful company! If there is nothing wrong with the furnituire when it arrives then you'll be fine, but if there's a problem, and they already have your money, expect NO help and to just have your emails ignored.

I purchased a wardobe from this company and it arrived in a horrible condition. It had dents and scratches all over it. They're refusing to replace it OR refund me!! I'm having to go through my credit card company now, and it looks like many other customers have had to do the same.

Avoid if you don't want any stress or hassle.
