I started a course with IT Career Swap in 2023 with advice of completing 8 exams the first year and then another 8 later on. After studying for ALL 8 exams which took me such a long time as I am a brain cancer survivor, i went to book my first exam with CompTIA which they covered and I failed. I was asked to rebook the exam with my own money which was fair though after passing the exam, I was no longer able to contact them and had no explanation of why. I have unfortunately been left without any guidance of next steps even though I paid the whole amount for the course. I have tried calling them but I cant get through. I have been scammed and will be taking this matter further.

I did the IT technician course a few years ago, and found the courses old, and not engaging. When I completed the course and the lab exercises, I went for the mock interviews and I realised that I was not prepared at all. Despite doing the homework and all, Thier course was so poor, that did not teach me anything. In a nutshell, I had no job, and lost my money. Last but not least, Ken support was absolutely useless. You have a better chance becoming a technician by watching the Professor Messer free videos on YouTube. They are way better than this rip off.

I enrolled on the IT Technician Course that IT Career Swap had on offer. I was attracted by the guarantee of a job offer or your money back. There were 12 courses that needed to be completed within a year which I did. There were also live labs which I also completed. I was then passed over to their recruitment team. They have one year in which to find a job offer for you. If they don’t do this, they claim that you will get a refund, less expenses. I was handed over to Molly for the recruitment and she seemed to be very competent and proactive. Shortly after, Molly left to go to another job and from that moment on everything dried up. All communication stopped, they didn’t answer the phone and all efforts to find a job offer for me seemed to grind to a halt. In short, after a year I had no job offer. I was very disappointed after all the money and effort that I had put in, but hey I could still get the refund that they promise in their Terms & Conditions. So, I requested the refund. Here’s where the real fun started! They agreed that I was due the refund, but after every delay tactic in the book and a whole host of weak excuses as to why the money hadn’t appeared in my bank account, I GOT NOTHING, not a penny! They now won’t even answer my emails, and as I said before, they don't answer the phone. If my experience is anything to go by, this is not the sort of company that you want to get involved with or pay money to, for a service that they fail to provide, to say nothing of the refund that you will never see! I hope that my experience with IT Career Swap will serve as a WARNING to others.

Further to my last comments. I'm pretty sure that IT Career Swap is either a company that is struggling to stay afloat or they have already gone under. This would account for why they don't pay their debts. If you're still in business IT Career Swap, reply to this and prove me wrong! 03/03/2025

I spoke to one of their consultant I guy named Malik ( works there no more) before buying the course. Asides learning to be an IT technician one of the main reasons I chose IT career swap was the Job guarantee of which I told Malik and he assured me as long as i fulfill the terms and condition of the Job guarantee( pass the two exams in one sitting,pay the full course fees, etc.) that they will be able to get me a Job. I had to quit my then Job and focused on the course and fulfilled every bit of those conditions and more. It's been more than 9 months since I have completed everything about that course including the mock interview, i am yet to get A SINGLE INTERVIEW let alone a Job. They never update you on anything until you reach out to them then they send you a generic email of trying to get you a Job without any evidence to back that up. All of these is affecting me mentally.

Gideon is very dogged and a focus minded person. He knows how to tailor his words and his communication Skill is awesome 👌

thanks leigh i have being having problem with logging on into the lab practice for sometime now long before leigh came on board .he schedule an out of office hours meeting. which fell on a sunday to resolve the situation for me . it was a technical problem ,but leigh stood up to the challenge and resolved it for me . Thanks to his resiliance and never die attitude , thank to super leigh johnson:)

I have just finished the IT Technician course with IT Career swap and my experience has been brilliant. The course models begin with learning the foundations in IT and naturally progress to deeper topics like cloud computing. This was a great structure as each module leads on to the next, and by the time I finished the course I had a solid understanding to prepare me for my first IT role.

My mentor Leigh has been tremendous, his support and guidance has helped me at every stage. He’s always got time for you and ready to help solidify your understanding further. I have gained much knowledge about the IT industry from he’s many years of experience in the field which I feel is invaluable. I look forward to working with him in the Cyber Security course.

I now feel confident and ready to enter the job market.

My experience with IT Career Swap has been marked by a mix of highs and lows, with certain aspects falling short of expectations. While the monthly check-ins and access to exam prep resources were beneficial, the promised job interviews were scarce, amounting to only a few within a year. This lack of opportunity for employment was disappointing, considering the initial promises made.

Regarding refunds, the process has been protracted and frustrating. Despite assurances of a guaranteed refund, delays and vague explanations, such as citing technical issues, lack of staff and need the approval from director, have all hindered progress. Communication regarding updates has been sporadic, requiring proactive outreach to elicit any response.

Additionally, while the resume assistance provided by IT Career Swap was intended to be helpful, the quality fell short of professional standards. The resulting documents lacked the polish and finesse expected in the job market, posing a hindrance rather than an aid to job seekers.

In summary, while IT Career Swap offers some valuable resources and support, the limited job interview opportunities and issues with refund processing detract from the overall experience.

My experience with IT Career Swap was great, and the course content is very aligned to learn easier. My mentor Kennedy, has been so much in helping me, always ready to guide me towards my success and always there when I need him, assisting me with notes and resources to aid me in the course. Through his guidance, I am now a CompTIA Security+ certified.

I learnt how to setup a wireless network and also learnt the major difference between a router and a switch, knowing fulling well that a switch is connecting different PC within a particular building.
The Company assigning someone to throw more hint on the videos is the best. it gives us the confident we need to perform our task.

Started the course a few weeks back as I'm looking to go back into IT. I must say, the course videos provided are excellent and assigned tutor provided (Ashley Skosana) have been very helpful and patient. Thank you also to "Sam Sienko" for all the initial personable introduction to the course, numerous demonstration video calls and the checking up on me to see how I'm progressing. Much appreciated. Well worth looking into if you're looking for an IT role and thinking about taking the relevant exams.

I’m currently undertaking the cybersecurity course, which has been going very well so far. Sam Sienko is a credit to the company, he thoroughly explained and ran through the course with me in detail and assured me that this course would be ideal for me, as I don’t have any current experience in cybersecurity. I hope to finish the course and exams soon and hope to be enrolled in a position shortly after. So far so good!

This is a story of an outstanding customer services which completely exceeds your expectation. I have been issued a Prince2 exam's voucher and I have tried to book my Prince2 exams one week before the expiry date of the voucher. The voucher got rejected. Prince 2 exams advisor suggested me to contact my academy. I dropped a line to "Georgia Mathewson", explaining the whole situation.
