Failed to deliver on time

Why would you give me the option to overnight ship if you can’t ship it over night? At least state when I’m ordering that it won’t be for 2-3 days. That defeats the purpose. I paid 2x for shipping what I paid for the part. Customer service rep was rude. Won’t be using them again.

Part on ridiculous back order

Not real happy with these guys right now. Bought an Ironton sprayer from Northern Tool about a year ago. the sprayer wand leaked like crazy this spring and Northern Tool advised me that a replace wand was available through Jacks Small Engines. Ordered the wand in early April 2025 and have received 3 emails stating they're waiting on the part from the manufacturer. Estimated shipping is NOVEMBER 2025 !!! Really ? Only took a couple of hours for them to run my charge card. Not happy right now.

Buyers beware of Jacks

Ordered a part for my northern tool trencher and part was defective so I contacted them and they reordered the part. That was on July 31 2024. I sent message in January 2025 to ask them the status of order and was told that part is made in China and they are having problems sourcing materials bla bla bla it is now March 2025 and still don’t have parts. During all this time I have not been contacted by Jacks to be updated on status. I owned a company for 40 years and not once have I dealt with this kind of issue. I now feel like the only recourse I have is to inform potential customers to beware of jacks small engines. Once they get your money they are done with you.

Horrible Customer Service

Horrible Customer Service. Bought a jet Bandsaw through Amazon from these clowns. It came in heavily damaged and I returned it. I received the refund for the bandsaw but was told I would have to pay for shipping and I would then get refunded. I did NOT! Absolute BS! Shipping was over $400. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! You will get ripped off!

Ordered a Ariens OE carb for my snow…

Ordered a Ariens OE carb for my snow blower. Was 30 dollars cheaper then buying directly from Ariens or from the Ariens store on Amazon. And I got it in 3 days where it would have taken 2 weeks on Amazon as per their estimated delivery date.I have had a positive experience with jacks every time I ordered a part as their customer service is excellent

Part was listed as in stock, but once ordered received an email stating it was coming from the manufacturer. Still no lead time. If I had known I would have purchased from another source.

I had purchased an item

I had purchased an item, when it arrived I looked in the box and set it aside. Quite some time later(11 months) I discovered it was the wrong 300.00 part. Figured I was S.O.L. and stuck with a item I couldn't use
My wife said call them (they never know anything right?). So after a few subtle reminders I did so.
To my surprise they looked the order up, said I was within their return window. They gave me an RMA # and I sent it back. I did have to pay for shipping but they paid it when shipped to me so IMO that was fair.
A few weeks later a check shows up.
I cannot find the words to express my gratitude to them. At no time was their any kind of a problem, attitude, side step, NOTHING!!!! Just pleasant helpful customer service. They could teach a few other businesses on how to retain customers

I ordered a snow plow for my truck in…

I ordered a snow plow for my truck in Dec 30. Originally it was to delivered on 1-12-25. Then it went to 1-17-25. I contacted the company and was told if I didn't receive it on the 17 I would get a refund. I haven't received the plow nor the refund on this date.

Mostly good, but take caution

I have ordered from Jacks a handful of times when I can't get parts elsewhere, and for the most part they are a solid option. One note of caution, sometimes they send aftermarket parts even though they are listed as oem. Depending on the part this may or may not matter, however if I pay oem prices I expect oem parts, for this reason I take caution when ordering.

Excessive shipping charges!

Excessive shipping charges!
Part was supposed to fit since serial numbers matched. Part did not fit.
They charged shipping on initial order then I had to pay return shipping to return the part that their webpage indicated should have fit.
Too many other companies with better shipping and return policies to waste time with Jacks ever again.

If there was a Zero Stars choice

If there was a Zero Stars choice, that's the one I would pick. I ordered a part for my Samsung refrigerator. A part that I needed quickly. Although Jacks Small Engines says "fast 2-4 day shipping" I was told I would receive my part on "10-15-30." That's over two weeks after the day I placed my order! I sent an email to inquire about my order, and the response was salty and mean spirited. There was no apology, and not even a name of the person responding. I'll never use them again!

Buyers beware of frauds and liars

If a zero could be awarded I'd give nothing. This company hands down has a lot of issues. Caught in out right Lies, and b.s . Shipping to start aka fed ex, can't read so illiterate there . The company has had their products back for over a week in business days . They tried to swindle me out of my promised full return half to be honest. They made me track the package which they have the label, and knew . So they LIED aaahum stormH@Jackssmallengines made me work for them LAZINESS.. I'll never use this company again, I suggest going else where . Wrong product which cost me a lot and in return I get a kick in the gut . So they have had their crap parts which they did not send the right carburators 2 weeks and a million dollar company can't resend 100 dollars.. seriously you guys are sad and liars . That's pathetic and in the small guys gut. Not so American...

Jack's came through again with flying…

Jack's came through again with flying colors!!! I needed a replacement mulch cover for my 48" mower deck. After 18 years of grass, sticks, and stones pummeling the original cover, it finally succumbed to the abuse and developed a crack. I found many aftermarket, off brand replacements, but the common problem with these is the reviews were not good. The reviews always mentioned poor, brittle, lightweight material they were made out of that broke very quickly. Jack's had "Husqvarna" branded mulch covers listed, but as it often goes you end up with a cheap no-name knock off. Well not in this case. Jack's was spot on and honest. It was a genuine Husqvarna part and was well made out of very heavy material. Thank you Jack's for coming to my rescue once again. Did I mention that they shipped the part immediately after I ordered it and I received it quickly? We they did and I did!!! Very Happy with my purchase and my experience.

Hard-to-find parts for Weed Cutter

I ordered parts from Jacks Small Engine Co. for my weed cutter. This company did a fantastic job finding the parts that I needed for repairing it. Some of the parts were placed on back order because they weren’t readily available. I informed the company that I wanted the back order parts. It took longer to get those parts, but this company was very attentive and remembered what they needed to do. When the back ordered parts became available, they readily shipped them to me with no additional charge for shipping. This company is wonderful and I will order from them every chance I have for my tool and equipment parts. I give them 15+++ rating. Thank you for doing above and beyond service and for a smooth transaction.

Part of my order was not in stock but jacks shipped the partial order per my request at no additional fee,the communication via email was great and my parts were correct and received in perfect condition in a timely manner . Thank you Jacks for your great service !

Hard To Find But Got It

I looked around in vain for days in our places and struggled where to find the lost screws for my Toro blower’s Briggs & Stratton engine housing/shroud exhaust system. I went online and stumbled upon Jacks Small Engine and spoke with a staff member late that day who sent me the correct drawings, parts/Manual and description’s pdfs based on the engine model number given. Looking at the Briggs & Stratton’s appropriate drawings was not an easy pick and order process for me since the exploded views of parts diagrams available online are not, in my opinion, well depicted, perspectively, to figure out. The screws shown in the diagrams and parts manual are, in my opinion, lacking in size description and required quantity to help me decipher them. But, I appreciated the patience, mechanical aptitude and intuition of the staff who helped me confidently identify precisely the two screws based on our telephone conversation. I ordered the parts, with reasonable price too (as later compared to others) on Jan. 15 and received them on time five days later. Now, I’m glad I got the snow blower up and running again especially at a time like this in Chicago area. I now also have the peace of mind and confidence where to go for appliance parts like these ones in the future. That was an excellent service. Thanks to the staff member (Laura) and the company.

2 months and still waiting on all my parts

Ordered crankshaft seals, head gaskets, intake/exhaust gaskets and a few odds and ends for a kawaski engine. I've ordered multiple times over the years from Jack's Small Engines and have always been satisfied with their service. When the order was placed on 7/5/23 nothing showed to be on back order. 10 days later I call them and they say that we have the order it just hasn't been filled because they are waiting on back ordered items. I told them to send what they had so maybe I could start putting the motor back together. They sent the seals and one intake gasket and said everything else was on back order. I ended up looking everything else i needed on ebay and got everything in 3 days and got the mower back up and running. I called and asked what was wrong with my order and they said they just couldn't get the parts I needed and I told them to order from ebay before they lose their business. It's now 8/28 and I just got another email saying another part has shipped. 7/5-8/28 and still haven't received everything! Some changes need to be made at this company and made fast!

AVOID! Shipped purposely damaged goods!

I ordered a chemical sprayer handle and wand. The end is a 2 foot straight metal tube with the adjuster on the end. When I received the part, it was bent in a unusable C shape to fit inside a too short square box. I was able to reach Customer Service, sent pics, and was promised a replacement, but I never received an update or a replacement part. I then called back several times. Same story as others; "You are next in the queue. 0 minute wait.", yet no one answers. I filled out the online Customer Service form, but again, no reply. Filing a complaint with my CC company. AVOID!
