Jct20dentalclinic Avis 

I am a very nervous patient since having a very unpleasant experience as a child. I needed a wisdom tooth extraction, which my previous dentist had refused to do as he thought it might not be straightforward. I decided to try this dentist and am so pleased to have found them. Kind and understanding, my tooth was removed painlessly and I am happy to recommend them. Prices less than many others too.

I have been with JCT20 Dental Clinic for over three years and I can confidently say they are exceptional in every way possilbe. Since I moved houses, I briefly tried to change dentists and visited three other local practices but the lack of care and extortianate costs made it clear that no other dentist could match the level of care and professionalism I’ve experienced here so I rejoined them and honestly I have nothing bad to say about these guys.

Dr. Khalid & Nurse Melissa are incredibly understanding and compassionate, always taking the time to explain procedures and ensure I feel comfortable. I highly recommend jct20dental clinic.

I had a full upper set denture done which snapped in half after 8 days when I returned the dentist tried to charge me extra for a better fitting, he said my gums had shrunk which is why they snapped. He offered to recharge me to make new ones at an external lab or charge an additional fee of 100 pound to refit. I decided to pay for a repair instead out of principle with a different dentist. I am 11 month in and I’m on my 3rd denture break so I have decided to get a new pair elsewhere. My lower partial denture has gaps in too which are the 3 front teeth. Which this dentist provided. I’ve had 2 dentist’s opinions on this, and both have said it’s unacceptable and dentures should not break 8 days in. Never use this dentist for dentures. It was also strange that there card reader didn’t work and I had to make payment to his personal account which was not a business account during 1 of the payments.

I went to JCT 20 Dental Clinic because I wanted a better service, first time I had gone private. Had to wait twenty minutes for my booked appointment. I was told I needed an appointment with the hygienist so I booked the 9:00 am time slot so I would not have to wait. Went to pay for my treatment and it was £200 more than expected; when I queried it, I was told that I had expressed an interest in whitening; I had been asked if I had ever considered whitening and said that I had but had not agreed to have it done. I was not charged for this unrequested service. Went back for my 9:00 am appointment and had to wait 20 minutes to be seen, as I had already paid for it, I was forced to wait. Decided to look elsewhere.
Five months later got a call saying I was due a check-up so I agreed, thinking that if I had to wait this time I could walk. I was asked for a £10:00 deposit and refused. They said it could not be done without a deposit. It seems that they can let you down if they want but will charge you if you let them down.

Sadly after using this dentist for the last 3 yrs on and off after moving to Manchester, i have been left very very saddened by the way they have ended out relationship.
In March 2020, i went to them to have my front tooth composite bonding repaired as it had come loose ( i have been having this same tooth done with composite bonding for nearly 10yrs ) The Dentist repaired the tooth and all was ok . He did however suggest that i should maybe think about getting veneers for the front tooth as these would last longer but they where a lot more expensive.

Months later the composite bonding had come off again, and i went back to see them to have it repaired again., which they did without problem.

After a few weeks the front composite bonding had begun to come loose, so i called up and requested to see the dentist for them to just do a repair on it, as it was not off but loose.

The dentist then called me back and informed me that he would not be willing to do composite bonding on the tooth any more as it was not working well and he would now suggest having veneers instead , i was hesitate as the price was so much more then just composite bonding, but he said if i did not do veneers he would not see me.

I said i would think about it and get back to them, sadly 2 days later my whole front tooth fell off and i had not choice but to go with his advice.

I booked in for the veneers at over £300+ each , and i needed a minimum of 2 .. we did come to an agreement that he would take off the cost of the composite from the previous appointment from the total fee for veneers which i thought was fair.

Sadly the day before my appointment , i found out i needed to replace my boiler as it had stopped working and was not able to be repaired. With this in mind i needed to save money, so i called the dentist to see if i could get a refund of my deposit and cancel the appointment until another time.

Sadly the dentist was not very understanding and took offence , saying that i could get a refund of the deposit and the cost of the composite veneers BUT i would be removed from the practise as if i got the work done elsewhere he did not want to see me as a patient.

I explained that i was not having the work done anywhere , but in fact needed to buy a new boiler and needed the money for that, so sadly teeth over hot water and heating seemed like a stupid choice.

I got my refund and that was the end of that.

Fast forward to today when i sadly had my filling on my back tooth fall out, i called the dentist to request an appointment to be told that as i was never registered with them , they would not be able to help me.

Apparently i never filled out the registration form after my first appointment 3yrs ago , and even though i have been with them for 3 yrs and seen the dentist numerous times, NEVER having been questioned again about not being registered, they would not help me as i was effected not registered.

Knowing that many dentists are not taking new patients Due to Covid, i am very shocked and let down by this clinic, as they have now left me in pain and not able to get my filling done !
