We recently purchased carpets from Jem in Bishopbriggs. The assistant in store was really helpful without being pushy and allowed us to take our time to select the carpet we wanted.
Our carpet came in store very quickly and Jem kept this for us until we were ready for fitting.
Following fitting a fault was found in the carpet. The area manager came to our home to inspect this and said that we were to have a replacement carpet. He was very apologetic. A replacement was ordered and again arrived quickly and was fitted with no problems this time. Jem kept us informed at all times with what was happening and apologised for any inconvenience.
I would not hesitate to use Jem carpets in Bishopbriggs and would recommend them.

Paisley branch:
Went in picked a carpet, arranged a date for measurements and got a call with a price.
I called to pay and they couldn't find the invoice. I left them to locate it and called back. I got a man who said to me through a sarcastic laugh - you picked a carpet - you didn't order it or you'd have paid for it, so you've got us looking for an invoice that doesn't exist. I told him, when we came in we picked the carpet, offered a deposit and was told no that measurements need to happen first and that the guys had measured and we were called yesterday with a quote and all I was doing was calling to pay.
He said "aye well there's nae invoice because we've no had any payment." I said legally when you ask for a payment that is the invoice because an invoice is a request for payment.
He said "Naw you pay then you get an invoice number" ... that's not how it normally works I said. He was letting out little sarcastic laughs the whole time.
I told him I though he was being very sarcastic and rude and I thought that was not right to be cheeky to a customer and asked to speak to someone else he said "ahm the manager"
So when I said don't bother then we'll go somewhere else he said "naw hold it here's the boy that measured for your carpet talk tae him."
I said no thank you.
Shocking customer service.
If that's the experience just trying to pay - god help anyone if anything goes wrong and you have to complain.

I recently had carpets fitted by the Hillingdon branch of Jem Carpets. I can honestly say that the company is a gem in the world of carpets. From start to finish the service was excellent.
The sales team were fantastic ,especially the two Johns.They were incredibly helpful and informative taking the time to explain the different options without ever being pushy. It made the whole process relaxed and enjoyable rather than stressful.
Neil who came out to measure and provide the estimate was equally impressive. He and William carefully planned the layout and managed to save a significant amount of wastage compared to an estimate I had previously received from a well-known carpet retailer.The level of attention and honesty was greatly appreciated.
Finally a big thank you to William and his fitting team. They were friendly professional and clearly take great pride in their work. The fitting was carried out to a superb standard and all carpet pieces were removed.
Overall an excellent experience from the initial visit to the final fitting. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jem Carpets to anyone looking for outstanding carpets and quality service.

From start to finish, every member of staff I’ve dealt with at Jem Carpets Hillington have been exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble for them, they are so helpful and accommodating. Gerry, the carpet fitter was great too, great workmanship, gave great advice for an awkward area at the top of my stairs and gave tips on how to care for my carpet runner as well as the stairs and the porch. Would recommend Jem Carpets Hillington to everyone!

I had Gerry from Jem Carpets in Hillington fit my stairs and hallway carpet yesterday and he done a fantastic job. So thorough and knew his job well - told me lots of tips and tricks to keep the carpet clean and what to avoid. Excellent job!

We recently used Jem Carpets in Hillington and were really impressed with the whole experience.

From start to finish, Peter was fantastic – he managed the entire process for us and made sure everything ran smoothly.

We did have a small issue early on with fitter availability, but Peter quickly stepped in and got it all sorted without any fuss.

The level of customer service and communication from the team was excellent, and they genuinely went the extra mile to make sure we were happy.

The carpets/flooring looks great, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the final result. Would absolutely recommend Jem Carpets Hillington – thanks again to Peter and the team for all your help!

I would like to thank Jim at Bishopbriggs who helped us from start to finish with our new carpet. He was professional and friendly all the way and told us, if there's any issues to speak to him. Thankfully there weren't any issues. He communicated well and kept us informed of when the new carpets will arrive and the fitting date.

Despite living in Greenock, we chose David at Jem Carpets in Bishopbriggs—and glad we did. After a flood, we decided to redo the entire house—a massive job—and David supported us well. From the start, David took the time to understand exactly what we wanted to achieve and gave us options based on our budget.

We went with Invictus herringbone LVT throughout, with carpet on the stairs. The Invictus looks brilliant—better than the Karndean we had before. While the initial carpet fitting on the stairs wasn’t perfect, David resolved it quickly.

The joiners from Drummond Joinery, especially William, are top-notch. Cracking job with the herringbone.

We could’ve gone local, but the service elsewhere was awful—ranging from poor to being ignored. Jem Carpets stood out.

Folks, we needed a carpet runner with whipping/binding for a stair with an angled curve, then a half landing and a top landing to be fully carpeted. Looked around Jem Carpets Larkhall, fantastic displays, nice shop, spoke to Laura, was given samples, great advice, I was impressed by the way we were treated, picked the carpet. Jem Carpets fitter came out measured and recommended a better underlay due to the old creaky stairs at no extra cost. Jem Carpets informed me of the cost and I said yes. Yes I had to get my whipping/binding by the amazing Donna in Baillieston. Then the 3 best carpet fitting dudes in Scotland turn up, I'm sorry if the spelling is wrong but Gregor, David and Mark Scott are outstanding tradesmen. I highly recommend Jem Carpets Larkhall 100%. No duff, great experience dealing with this company from start to finish.

Very rude to deal with

Gerry did an outstanding job fitting. He was punctual, professional, and clearly takes pride in his work. Friendly, polite and highly skilled—wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

A Terrible experience which started as a pleasant experience because I ignored the red flags.
The lady LM (intitails) was quite helpful and gave a competitive quote when compared with other carpet shops. However when I decided to go with them I was told by the same lady that she actually made a mistake in calculations and now the quote is £100 more than what it was initially quoted. However as a goodwill gesture she knocked off £20 delivery charge ( which btw other carpet shops don't charge anyway).
I ignored this huge red flag and paid the new quoted figure . But as soon as the payment was made the attitude of this lady changed and by the time carpet fitters appointment was being booked she was not helpful at all as she said that carpet fitters are self employed.
When it came to the carpet fitter Charlie , he refused to lay the carpet as the furniture wasn't totally moved and the carpet was not lifted already by us. ( it was never communicated to us that it was our responsibility to remove the old carpet as well) . Once he drove off.
I contacted the branch and another lad William said that it was all printed in small print under the quotation. He refused to cancel the sale and refund the money as he said carpet has already been cut to size.
Now he charged me extra money for removing the carpet and still I was responsible for disposal of old carpet.
The lady at Jem Carpets lied to my face that she had communicated it already.
However a new carpet fitter Scott was booked and he was a professional guy who finally completed the job without creating any more problems.
I would personally avoid Jem Carpets even if they are the last carpet shop in the world and promise to provide free Carpets. Too much hassle and stress.

Fantastic service from start to finish! Very helpful when in store choosing my product and a lovely gentleman sent to my house to measure up. Fitter Gerry was great when he came to fit my flooring. All in all a stress free easy process.

Gerry fitted the carpet we purchased for our little girls nursery today and done a great job! Not only that, my other half broke the door threshold when lifting the old carpet last night, so Gerry fitted a new threshold for free! Would highly recommend!!
