Professional robbers
I booked a return ticket for my sister by my debit card .While getting the boarding pass,They asked to show authorization letter she did not have in hard copy form , she showed my authorization letter in whatsapp at the counter but they refused to issue boarding pass. And she had to return back home. Even i send the letter via email .
When i contacted their customer care and asked kindly refund the return ticket at least , they told "you been penalized for no show up ".
And thus my about INR 60,000 been looted by them in the name of their policy.
Travelling with a yound child
My son who is 8 years old will be travelling with me on A jet airways flight to Ahmedabad from London Heathrow. After i completed my booking I called/emailed Jet Airways to help us to pre allocate seats so we can be guaranteed seated next to each other. Unfortunately, they were NOT very accommodating when it came to a Child involved in the travels and infact told us to pay the extra "Nominal" fee to pre book the seats or wait for 24 hrs prior to departure. It is very sad to learn that such a well known airline seem to least care for passengers with special circumstances i.e Children, Disabilities etc and still want to make more money out of them. We are regular fliers and we fly mainly by British Airways, Emirates and Kenya Airways. These airlines also have similar policies but they do consider passengers with special circumstances and will help to their best to pre book the seats or give us 48 hours prior to departure so we are guaranteed sitting next to each other. These airline are clearly not there to make money unlike Jet Airways. When i questioned the gentleman i spoke too on how they would expect a 8 year old to sit with a complete stranger for 9 hours - the reply was it is fine as you will be in the same aircraft!! now I call this pathetic and clear lack of training on how to respond to customers. I strongly would not recommend Jet Airways for people with special circumstances and very discriminating.
Also in addition - The seating of young children next to their parents or guardians should be the aim of airline seat allocation procedures. This is because the speed of an emergency evacuation may be affected by adults trying to reach their children. So clearly there is no safety concerns for young children!!
Its all about making the smallest "nominal amount" they can and not the principle!
Really poor cancellation policy
Really poor cancellation policy, totally lacking in compassion.
I came out to Canada with my wife as her mother was ill. I pre-booked a ticket back to the UK with Jet airways as I needed to show a return flight (I am not Canadian). My wife's mother sadly died while we were here, and I needed to cancel the flight in order to stay for the funeral. They charged me $ 325 Canadian to cancel - and would not waive the fee under these very distressing circumstances.
They are very cagey about their cancellation policy on their website, and display no information about actual charges. Upon emailing and phoning, apparently they waive cancellation fees for a bereavement if it is a 'close family member' only. This feels very much like close family to me. I want to support my wife and my father in law in their grief.
Abysmal and beyond acceptable. A miserable experience.
I'm posting the complaint I've been trying to send to JetAirways via their website. Anyone who can work out how to write and send feedback on this miserable site must be genius. It sends me round incircles saying 'no special characters allowed'. They look like letters to me.... Here goes:
I was on flight 9W 119 from Mumbai to LHR yesterday: 9 and a half hours with no inflight entertainment at all, as my screen was dead and the remote did not work. No music, no film, no announcements, no flight info. Nothing. Your staff were reasonably helpful in trying to resolve this, but clearly not capable of sorting whatever the technical problem was on their own. So they gave up. I asked to move seats, but apparently the flight was full. Basically, I spent 9 and a half hours looking at a blank screen, and as the remote also controls the overhead lighting, was unable to read either. In addition I was unable, despite trying two or three times, to check in online prior to the flight and was not even sure whether the £20 fee to reserve the seats I wanted had gone out of my account or not. Twice. After 3 attempts, I gave up. Your website also needs some technical assistance to stop it crashing whenever you reach a certain point in the online checkin process. As for the food, I think you should be ashamed. Ryanair or Easy jet and all the other rock bottom economy lines serve better. I would only ever consider flying with you again if there were absolutely no other alternative, and even then, with great reluctance, and I shall never recommend to anyone that they actually choose to fly with you.
One last thing. My outbound flight, 9W 119 on 16 January LHR to Mumbai was delayed seven hours. Supposedly because someone was taken ill on board incoming plane and it had turned back. Your flight LHR to Mumbai later that day was similarly hugely delayed. So clearly a lie. I then missed my onward connection. The new connection to Goa was itself delayed for another hour. I reached my destination,Goa, over eight hours late, after having had to rearrange twice the car that was picking me up, and my onward journey plans.
Abysmal and beyond acceptable. A miserable experience. Never to be repeated I hope.
Tidak ada pemberitahuan tentang delay
Saya membeli tiket untuk tamu, JKT-DEL di Nusa Trip berangkat 28 Jan 19, pada tiket tertulis JKT - SIN dengan GA 836 dan SIN - DEL GA 9391. JKT - SIN sesuai jadwal.
SIN - DEL seharusnya berangkat 19.40 dan tiba di DEL 23.20
Terjadi delay 8 jam sehingga berangkat 4.40 tgl 29 Jan 19 juga ditransfer ke pesawat Jetairways tanpa pemberitahuan ke saya.
Sehingga pembayaran booking hotel 1 malam di India tidak digunakan.
Saya mengajukan refund dari hotel dengan alasan delay 8jam.
Pihak hotel minta surat pemberitahuan/notifikasi dari pihak terkait tentang delay tersebut.
Pihak Nusatrip menyatakan penerbangan sesuai jadwal, tidak bisa memberikan surat pemberitahuan dan meminta saya menghubungi pihak maskapai Jetairways.
Pihak Garuda menyatakan bahwa pembelian tiket di aplikasi dan saat reservasi tercatat operated by Jetairways bukan Garuda sehingga tidak bisa memberikan surat pemberitahuan dan meminta saya menghubungi maskapai Jetairways.
Saya menghubungi Jetairways di India dengan telepon sehingga mengeluarkan dana yang cukup besar. Saya meminta alamat email agar lebih mudah berkomunikasi, alamat yang diberikan tidak ditemukan. Saya menghubungi sekali lagi dan operator Jetairways menyatakan bahwa tidak ada yang dapat dilakukan Jetairways.
Sangat menyebalkan.

Could not board flight because of overbooking
Absolutely disgusted at Jet Airway´s lack of respect for their customer´s time and energy. The story goes like this: Sunday, December 3rd, 2017. At 7.35 I have to fly from Kolkata to Dhaka in order to be at work at 10. At 5.50 am I arrive at Kolkata airport and join the queue to do the check in. When I finally get to the counter, I am told that I cannot fly because the flight is already full. Many things happened in the middle but, I was finally put on a flight that left Kolkata at 3.30 pm. Obviously,I was reimbursed the money of my ticket, but that did not compensate at all for not flying when I had originally chosen to. I did not want to fly for free, I wanted to fly at 7.30 am. Overbooking, they call it. Jet Airways´policy, they say. I simply call it unfairness and abuse of power. The ones behind these "policies", will never have to be subjected to them, neither will they have to face their clients´anger (I feel so sorry for the people that had to deal with me!). The irony of this story is that I travelled from Dhaka to Kolkata by bus and it only took me two more hours than what it took me to get back from Kolkata to Dhaka. Two more hours and a much more pleasant experience. Had I known, had I known, had I known...!

Very unprofessional staff. Very less value for Money and not trustworthy with regards to flight schedule. Will avoid as much as possible next time. Spending few extra bucks might give peace of mind if I can book through other professional airlines.
Worst airline to fly with
Worst airline to fly with. They charge you a lot of money for tickets but you don't get the service you expect. Flights are always delayed and your baggage is always damaged.
I recently flew from Heathrow to Goa in January 2019. Both my flight to and from were delayed by over an hour. Jet airways always picks a Gate in corner of heathrow where there is hardly any seating area for people, so after a flight is delayed and people arrive on time they have to just stand around waiting with the staff not helpful or apologetic at all. On the flight the staff are very rude and not polite and if you are seated at the back of the plane don't expect to get a choice of food because they will run out and have only the vegetarian option even though you have checked in online and selected your meal preference. On returning from my holiday after all the delays, I find my suitcase torn and battered as if someone deliberately kicked it all over. All the zips broken and dirt all over.
Please bare in mind that this is not a buget airline like RyanAir or EasyJet where you get a flight ticket for a bargain. I paid over 800£ for my ticket and had to deal with this.

Yesterday night I was traveling from Kuwait to Mumbai. Staff didn't allow me to carry my hand luggage, they were saying your baggage is oversized. The same bag is accepted in other airlines.
Staff was harassing to the families with kids also. I will recommend not to travel by JET AIRWAYS any more.
First time I’ve flown with Jet Airways
I have just returned from my first trip to Goa and used Jet Airways for the first time. We did London to Mumbai, then Mumbai to Goa. The same for our return journey. I can’t commend the high quality of their staff, both on the ground and in the air they were helpful, polite and always smiling. I have travelled all over the world and flown with a lot of airlines and they are in my top 3. Thank you very much for a very enjoyable flight.
Horrific experience on Jet Airways
Jet airways should be awarded as one of the worst airways on the earth. I live in Australia and i love to travel by Qantas because of their extremely high safety standards and being such a great professional organisation they are. But my experience just reversed the moment i would land singapore and board a jet airways flight. They behave as they are working in a fish market with utmost unprofessional behaviour. I had an incident when a jet airways employee was literally yelling at me as i got a bit late in security check in due to the lethargic working of the screening personal at security at Delhi airport. Instead of helping me and speaking to the security staff she was yelling at me out of panic as the plane was about to leave.
Their flight attendants were equally repulsive and disgusting.
Due to repeated incidents like thos which i can go on writing i stopped taking qantas.
I made another and a final mistake of booking a jet airwaysflight from Chandigarh to Bhopal.( which included two segements Chd to delhi and delhi to bhopal)
My mother was on wheelchair . They took her for boarding and as i along with other passengers were about to board they suddenly announced the cancellation of flight . I did not know the whereabouts of my mum and when i asked they repeatedly told me that they were going to bring her back. She did not arrive even after a wait of an hour and a half. Finally my wife eent back to the check in counter after going reverse through the security and completing all the formalities and found her there. She told us that she was sitting inthe wheelchair for about half an hour near the plane in heavy rain as it started raining suddenly . There was a big confusion among the staff about the cancellation of the flight.
The delhi flight was announced again but they told us that we cannot board the flight as we would not be able to catch our flight for bhopal due to delay in the chandigarh flight.
We then awaited for our luggage to come back for another three hours only to find that half of our luggage was not removed from the flight and it had been taken to delhi. No one was telling us anything during all this as their whole staff was itself confused and was in a panic mode.
When i enquired about this from their supervisor hewas making excuse like a school child that due to all this mess up and heavy rains they were not able to unload all the luggage of the passengers.
I told him that if they were so untrained that they were not able to handle such a simple situation what will happen if they have to deal with a real emergency. God bless people who travel on this airline.

I had purchased my air ticket on Jet Airways flight 9W610 from Kolkata to Mumbai for 15/12/2018 more than six months ago so that I can catch an international flight from Mumbai at 11:45PM on the same day. The Jet Airways flight was originally scheduled to depart Kolkata at 6PM and arrive Mumbai at 9PM. On 12 December morning, I received a text message from Jet Airways that the flight 9W610 has been rescheduled due to operational reasons to leave Kolkata at 7:45PM and arrive Mumbai at 10:40PM. As with the rescheduling it was impossible to catch the international flight at 11:45PM, I approached Jet Airways to change my booking to an earlier flight. They made me to pay not only the fare difference, but also the cancellation charge. They told ne it is Jet Airway’s policy to make the customer responsible if the flight is delayed by less than two hours even if the reason of the delay is on their part (in this case it was Operational Reasons).
Later on, I came to know recently Jet Airways is in financial trouble. So, it may be an innovative business model on their part to generate extra money by rescheduling flights by just less than two hours so that they can squeeze extra money from some passengers. If couple of passengers per flight change their bookings, Jet Airways can pay their staff.
Think twice before you book your next Jet Airways flight.

poor customer service
I was scheduled to fly from mangalore India to London via Mumbai. I was denied boarding in mangalore as the flight was overbooked. It took jet airways nearly 4 hours to rebook me and they refused to compensate me for the time wasted. Moreover I contacted guest service jet airways who refused to give me a decent answer for denied boarding due to over sales. Pathetic
Won’t be flying this airlines anytime. Moreover I have heard they are in loss and has the habit of cancelling service due to no availablilty of pilots

Jet Airways continue to screw over its members
It was recently revealed in the press that Jet Airways revoked lounge access for it's Gold and Platinum members after failing to pay their bills to lounge operators. No communication of this was done by Jet, and members instead received the news when refused entrance.
Today I learnt of another fact that Jet Airways do not communicate to it's members and something that severely decrease the value of memberships.
Members get "upgrade vouchers" as a reward for progressing up in membership levels. These, they state on their website, can be used to upgrade a flight ticket, depending on the membership level and price category. What is not disclosed is that Jet limits voucher upgrades possible to 2 per flight resulting in most customers not being able to use their hard earned vouchers. Given they expire pretty quickly, it's tough to describe this as anything but a scam.
It is clear that what is offered members in their marketing and on their website, isn't in fact true. They are instead dropping privileges previously offered and as much as they can limit members from using what hasn't yet been revoked.

I bought a Jet Airways flight with one of their booking agents, trip.com and I had a no show because of missing a connecting flight.
Not only did they not allow me to fly the return leg of the journey, but they didn't refund the airport taxes and charges portion of the non-refundable ticket which they later wrote to me (see below) and said that this is their policy. Even if the fare itself is non-refundable, they are supposed to refund airport taxes because neither the booking agent nor the airline get charged these if a passenger doesn't fly.
The UAE airline I took to India immediately refunded the airport taxes on that non-refundable ticket with not a single complaint or any reluctance to do so.
Despite Trip.com writing me that they will refund airport taxes for the first leg, they still haven't done it and also refuse to pay it for the second forfeited let.
And Jet Airways have also refused to help me with the booking agent, they just tell me to ask trip.com. And the booking agent tells me to ask the airline.
They don't appear to have any interest in helping with this unresolved matter.
And I have ask both which of them if has the unpaid airport taxes in their bank account, but neither have answered me.

All in all there've been now 80 emails between trip.com and jet airways and myself about this and it's still not resolved. Each person who replies to my email is brand new. Their customer service is appalling. The customer service reps seem to just read from a pre-determined script and don't respond intelligently to anything you say to them.

Jet Airways undoubtedly provides bad customer experience, 3 weeks back booked international ticket. As per website, cancellation of ticket within 24 hours gets complete refund. But in the website, no cancel option present. Then contacted customer care and cancelled ticket with help of agent, and he told will receive refund within 10 days (not sure why they do need 10 days). But, I felt its ok will wait for 10 days, its more than 3 weeks but no refund till now. Surprisingly, when I contacted customer service they told that it was already refunded, you will receive in a day or two. Yesterday, I sent an email to jetairways, but till didnt receive even an acknowledgement.
Dont trap into this airways.
Worst ever experience
This review is coming from 15days of worth trying with 30 mins call every day every time and these guys just made it hell every time I tried discussing about the solution... Fyi no follow up call or email ever...
Case is: I tried booking a ticket and these guys first cancelled the return flight and put me on waiting list and 2 days before they informed when I called that it's a regret that they can't let me fly with no support.
Worst ever nightmare as I had to miss important meeting and due to festival I could not get any better connection rather take a longest every 24 hours flight from some other airlines at a heavy price...
Incredibly stupid service and crap people all around.
