Before I book my appt I ask them to make sure that my insurance was in network and I was told it was in network and it was be $15 which I was charge. Now 4 weeks later they are telling me that my appt was not in network and will now have to pay the non insurance price. If I had know it was not going to be covered I would have book the appt.

They collected all of my personal intake information then never showed up for my appointment. I took the day off work for no reason, was left without my mental health medication, and I'm not even sure this is a real practice I gave all of my information to.

The crazy thing is, I love my NP, but their so-called customer service is the problem. I needed a form filled out, and they came to me with the estimate that it would cost me 75.00 to have it filled out, and if it was FMLA, it would be 150.00. I have never heard of something crazy like that. At the end of the email, they have "Our Commitment To You
Your feelings matter, and we're privileged to support your mental health journey. Our goal is to provide kind, effective, and timely care. If you're not satisfied, let us know." If that is the case, why not help those who need it and stop nickel-and-diming your clients? Because it is business to them and not about the clients!!!

One of the worst mental health experiences I’ve ever had. They are eager to speak to new patients to get you scheduled with one of their teen age NPs. You have to provide insurance, credit card and other personal information. They check your insurance, give you a ballpark quote then charge you without providing a bill based on the ballpark charges. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE

pestered me to make a new appointment and then want to charge me $100 because I tried to cancel within 24 hours due to an emergency. The care is not good, if you just need pills its fine but dont try to utilize their care team.

I wish I could say I was a new patient . I wasn’t. I have been with them for 3 years. They say they specialize in anxiety, panic disorder, depression and medication management . Dr. Gannon their Yale graduate co-founder claims in her Headway profile the company she co-founded is always transparent . Sadly after 3 years of being a patient there with the same NP, because she placed me on a new medication that caused my condition to worsen and filing a complaint . Their solution was to discharge me as a client. Medication management? Ummm...! Full transparency? They wanted me to go get a liver and kidney function lab work done! I agreed! Let’s see if I am able to be placed on this new medication they were suggesting. I’m at the point of desperation at this point because the last medication really made my condition worse. I was on Paxil for a year but it just slowly stopped working. Put me on Venflaxine 6 weeks later .... I couldn’t stop having anxiety attacks ! So hence the lab work order to see if I could be put on an new medication they felt would help. I look at the lab place they want me to go to ....on google to try to get an appointment. The lab says they specialize in drug testing. Hmmmm... that’s interesting! Not that I care! I’m going for a liver and kidney function test. Then I look at the lab form they gave me... sure enough... a full 8 panel drug test is ordered on there with the other test. “ Transparency “? I do not use drugs! The only drugs that enter my body are those specifically prescribed for me! At this point yes... I do question it! Why am I being drug tested? Their answer was simple.... because we can!!! Ok... that’s fine too! But where was the transparency??? So I emailed them to ask about why I was suddenly being drug tested. Surely there must be a reason. After all they are even sending me to a lab that specializes in drug testing. They had my NP ( nurse practitioner) call me back and all she had to say about this was... I forgot to tell you. Ok but why are you requesting it? I filed a complaint about my med .... that’s the reason. In my opinion she just didn’t want to look like the blame for giving me a med that made my condition worse. One of the major side effects of this med .... is ANXIETY! Ummmm???? Hello??? Anyone there? Knock knock! Also... do not ever think you can call or email this place and directly speak to your NP. Not going to happen! Unless you slap that insurance card down or cash to pay. They have a concierges team that deals with you as a distant entity! ( I say distant because it can take 2 days at this point to even get a real human response... even their answering machine says that) ( never used to be that way... you would get a human response or answering on the phone right away) so if your issue is major, in regards to THEIR care or you have a concern or complaint... don’t be surprised if you cannot reach a human for a while. It was all good while Covid was media prevalent. Now.... they are fully out of tune with what patients needs are. If you just need someone to talk to... lonely... have a slight anxiety or depression.... no problem! If you want real therapy ... I can honestly say I never received that. They just smile and nod in the camera.... give you meds they hope will work ( in my case) and so long as you don’t have a single complaint ( in my case) about that med, they will probably be a good fit for you. Other than that... do yourself a favor... keep scrolling! As a Law Graduate I know that I can be held liable for perjury if I am not telling the truth , as well as defamation. So I assure you... every word I have said here is true!

Hi, I just started and new at this. Never done video chat. So nothing was explained on how to use this site. First time, they call late no answer. Second time called late no answer. I was charged $300.00 for no show but I have insurance. Insurance is suppose to cover. Now i asked for refund, they blackmail me and said I'll refund you when you go to a new session. I said no thanks, I just want my refund. I'm not working. Now they say, you can't get it back because they said so. Thanks thieves.

I booked my initial appointment on ZocDoc, only to be told that appointment would not kept as I did not book on the Lavender platform. I ask then while allow for booking on Zocdoc at all. Then, my appointment was cancelled again as they stated that they not have my intake forms yet I had submitted the information 4 times. Then my appointment was cancelled again, on the day off due to connectivity issues of the provider. Most recently, my provider was 20 minutes late for the appointment and the she cancelled in the middle of my appointment has she again was having internet problems. She assured me that I would not be charged as we only had a brief visit, yet my card was charged $300 as a no-show fee. As always, I cannot get in contact with anyone when I call, it simply rings out. There is not even an answering service. In truth, the customer service at Lavender is disgraceful. Please do not book with this company.

I didn't even get to go to my initial, THey're frauds. I paid 150 out right for a provider without insurance, and they are scamming people to pay 125 a session claiming that their bill is $300 for an hour. they are thieves. the girl said her supervisor would call me back but then I couldn't get thru. They cancelled my appointment and I still haven't received a call from the supervisor (in an hour like she said). These people don't want to help, they're cons that only care about money. interestingly, my insurance says they charge $0-$75 for co-pays. So not only are they going to bill insurance, but they are making us pay full price for a session out of pocket. I paid $50 my last provider in-network and $150 full price (No ins/out of network/ out of pocket provider). Spread the word, Do not book with them. They're reviews and costs are inflated to make then seem high value, but they're really thieves and insurance leaches. I uploaded my credit card information. they better not charge it considering they cancelled my appointment.

I initially chose Lavender because I found the provider and liked their background and specialties. I liked that I could book online, and they took my insurance. Then so many things went wrong. My provider repeatedly canceled sessions last minute. When the concierge called to cancel a THIRD appointment in a row, I was given a reschedule date for over a month away. I was for some reason no longer able to book online and got no reason as to why. I work night shift and booking online is very helpful for me as it is challenging to call and schedule during business hours. They also were prescribing me medication that I had to stop taking since I had no one to help me determine if it was even working. When I emailed them to let them know I was no longer interested in continuing my care there (since they were canceling my appointments anyway) and that because of the situation would likely not try to find a new provider at all, I didn’t get any response other than a document shared with me that I was “discharged from service”. I feel like as a MENTAL HEALTH SERVICE, they should be much more concerned about their patients’ mental health.

Please, please, PLEASE don't waste your time with them if you are seriously in need of help.
As someone else mentioned, they have you fill out an intake form (once you've already made your appointment), then will reach out and cancel it a few days later based on how you answer the intake form.
I also was looking for help with anxiety and depression, which they say they treat, yet was denied service.
I don't know who runs this place or makes the policies but they need to hire someone else.
They were amazing and super supportive. Helped me find a pharmacy that had my med in stock.
After filling out the long intake forms, I was given an appointmemt for roughly two weeks away. I thought that was pretty great turn around timing and was super excited. Then three days later, after I had already secured an appointment, I was emailed and told that they actually can't treat my conditions because "they don't have specialists in those areas". I was trying to get help with depression and anxiety, two of the most common mental illness struggles there are. I really wish they would have told me up front that they wouldn't treat me instead of giving me false hope and an appointment and then later canceling it on me. A lot of their policies feel really abelist and odd to me.
I signed up for an appointment because one of my previous psychiatrists joined the site. I went through the full account setup, tested to make sure everything was working ahead of time, but when I went to log in for my appointment the site kept sending me back to the login form no matter what I tried.
When I finally made it into the site (had to go to the booking page which had a cached login, log out, then log in again) and opened my appointment, no one was there. I was changed $300 for an appointment I never had, when I was told it would only be a $25 copay through insurance.
No one answered the phone number listed on their website, or the text help line, or via their email support.
I really felt cared for and supported during my time with my Lavender provider. Plus booking online and having video sessions were way more convenient for my lifestyle. I found when I was doing in person sessions I would end up canceling because the commute, parking situation and waiting room was just too much to be bothered with. This made it seamless and I could focus on what I wanted to talk about.
Service is amazing, staff is super friendly and helpful. Being able to get mental healthcare from the comfort of my own home is great.
Highly recommend!
I've been seeing lavender for a few months now and my experience has been very bad and I'm switching providers. Firstly the practitioner I was seeing was not very professional. At one point I took an assessment for a condition and the next time we met to go over the results she "joked" that I was not positive for the condition and then revealed it was a big goof and I actually was positive for the condition. SO FUNNY RIGHT?
Beyond just the provider, the administration supporting the provider was very poor. I was prescribed a medication that is currently in short supply and when I went to fill my prescription I was told by the pharmacy I would not be able to get the prescription filled for 3 months. I went to Lavender and they told me I would have to schedule a new appointment which makes sense. But then the pharmacy called 40 house before my appointment and they were able to get the prescription filled, Hurray! I contact the administration, they say you are in the 48 hour period either you go through with the appointment or we charge you $140 for no showing on the session. I ask for a bit of leniency were circumstances that were out of my control and I did the best I could. They tell me "too bad" and just bill me $140. Within this whole ordeal, they also lost my insurance information which led to this confusing set of emails where they told me they aren't willing to see un-insured people (I've been insured through the entirety of our relationship) and just honestly felt like they wanted my money and not to help me.
There are tons of other options and providers out there. Just stay away from this provider.
Lavender Psychiatry should really do some pre-screening. They booked me for an appointment, I filled out a very long intake form full of personal information (including financial) and was told they couldn't work with me because I had a concussion 11 years ago. They also will not work with anyone who even might be autistic. There's some weird ableism there and also no respect for client time, energy, and the difficulty of disclosure.
