I cannot recommend JS Law in any way.

We have a buyer for our flat, hopefully they won't go away, that is a cash buyer, and there is no chain either on their end, or on our end. We are just selling a rental flat as we no longer want to remain in the rental business.

My experience when selling or buying where there are no chains and it is a cash buyer, the process from beginning to end should only take around 6 weeks.

For the first month, it seemed that there was no movement at all with the first Conveyancer we had. Then that one took sick leave, and we've been given another. On the first day, I expressed my concern that things haven't been moving I expressed that we wanted to complete before the new tax year came in, and that communication was important to me. I want to be kept in the loop. In fact, there's an information note on your website that says all communication into and out from the conveyancer will be copied to me. That has not been the case at all.

We are now 3 months into this, and I am being told that they he is waiting for responses to enquiries. It has been a month since the enquiries were raised. When I was given a word document of them, I answered all I knew overnight so that the answers were in the Conveyancer's email the next morning. Every time I've received an email, I respond normally within the hour. Not the same on the return. In fact, I've recently asked what it is exactly we are waiting for, and from whom. I was told I'd get an update by the end of the week. I have heard nothing.

Now I am concerned that the cash buyer might just give up, and go elsewhere. In which case we would lose this sale.

I've now told the Conveyancer that if we don't exchange contracts by 5pm on the 30th of April, we will find a different Conveyancing company. Plus, if there are enquiries that haven’t been responded to after 48 hours of sending them, he should be chasing them. I get the impression he is just waiting for them to get back and not doing any chasing.

This is just very poor performance, and a serious lack of communication.

If anything can be done to escalate this to a higher level please do.

Josslyn Cooper was my solicitor for my house purchase and she was amazing. Ross Orton provided an excellent service throughout the sale of our property despite the challenges that were thrown our way. He was always on hand to discuss our case and keep us updated at all times.

Firstly I’d like to thank Ross Orton and JS Law for helping me through the sale of my father’s house . Loosing my father wasn't the easiest time . The portal was brilliant for uploading documents and easy to use even for me ( I’m not great on computers ) . Ross was always at the end of the phone and made life just that bit easier .
I’m currently looking for a new home myself and I’ll be using the team at JS Law again in the not too distant future .

Firstly Narissa Bains is very helpful and genuinely cares, professional approach with regards to sale and purchase of my property. She wasn’t given a good start as the estate agent caused a very confusing start to the proceedings however Narissa got it all back on track.

My opinion of the house buying and selling process is that it needs to be brought into the 21st century, it creates problems that are troublesome for all to overcome, this sometimes can create very stressful conditions for all.

However all turned out good in the end Thank you Narissa Bains.

The whole process from selling and buying took 7 months however this is down to us piling out of the first purchase due to issues they kept popping up (their solicitors not js law)

However after we pulled out and bought a new house js law were brilliant in helping us complete the new purchase we moved in exactly 6 weeks to the day after putting the offer in and we couldn't of done it without the professional fast service js law provided

Zoe McLeavy was my solicitor, she was friendly and efficient and despite lots of challenges along the way she managed to get my sale through within my deadline. The online system worked well and I would definitely use JS Law again.

Elya was fantastic throughout our purchase. She was always available when I called, clear in her communication, and completely professional from start to finish.

As a small suggestion for the company, some of the overall processes felt quite long from a customer perspective. It may be helpful to gather feedback from clients to see where things could be streamlined. It took almost 6months to complete a residential purchase, which is too long, and the processes felt very rigid. We have bought several properties over the years, including one just two years ago, and we have never experienced a 6 month completion before.

This is no reflection on Elya. Her service was excellent, and she was truly amazing to work with.
