Gateshead Lawnmower Centre Avis 

I bought my machines from a big hire company , hoping for after sales service to the max , turned out a bad company to deal with, the we tried an international company no name dropping , but their machines are yellow and green , total rubbish 19 weeks to fix a machine was no good, running out of time I needed someone to fix and service our machines, I contacted Gateshead Lawnmower Centre. Amazing , serviced and repaired our machines to a very high standard, far better than any company I have used before, they were polite, on time and kept us up to date with the work being done, to be honest it was like chatting to a friend of many years, the work that had been done to our machines was amazing, they are so good we opened an account with the company, and we will be buying new machines from Gateshead Lawnmower Centre in the future. Forget about those dodgy reviews, truth is this company stand above the rest for good work, polite manner and is always there to offer help and answer any questions. I can not fault them at all.

As with another reviewer I cannot believe that Gateshead Lawnmower Centre would get a poor review. My dealings with them have been excellent and I cannot fault them on price or customer service. I would unquestionable use them for all lawnmower needs.

I can only assume these 2 reviews are fake as I have been using the services of Gateshead Lawnmower Centre for over 20 years and can not fault the advice, equipment or the services they provide. I purchased my mower from them 20 years ago and have used them for servicing on many occasions. 1 year they were so busy at the peak of the growing season they could not fit me in for several weeks and I foolishly went to another local repair shop who could do it quicker and I soon found out why. The quality of repair was appalling and I made sure I took it back to Gateshead Lawnmower Centre the following year - before they got busy again - and have been ever since.

Awful customer service. I wasn't supprised to come here and find the only other review as bad. Very rude and unhelpful staff. After 3 phone calls trying to confirm the correct parts for my mower so I could order from their website, they wouldn't assist at all. I decided to take my money to a competitor who were very helpful in confirming the correct part and ordered within minutes.

I have an elderly but very serviceable Honda HR194 lawnmower with a Honda GXV120 engine. It runs perfectly and was serviced very reluctantly by the GLC about 3 years ago. They were very iffy about doing the service then because of the age of the lawnmower but to their credit were able to return in to good health. A few weeks ago I noticed a fuel leak from the carburettor and was unsure if it was the fuel line or float chamber cover. As petrol was leaking onto the engine manifold I asked if they could look at it for me. They refused saying it was too old and all parts were obsolete and advised me to scrap it. I contacted Honda UK who told me that service parts were still available and that GLC should have contacted them. They were going to speak to them but not sure if they ever did! However replaced float chamber, float and fuel line myself (not too difficult) and leak 99.9% cured. Still a little sweat from gasket. GLC were extremely rude and disingenuous regarding a review I left and said that the lawnmower might need a carburettor gasket which was not available (untrue) or carburettor jet (likely as unicorn poo). So as well as being appalling with their customer service and support for Honda lawnmowers they are rude and insulting to their customers who have temerity to complain.
