Overall a very good program
Overall a very good program. My daughter has been going here for 5 years and my son just started kindergarten. My kids will be attending again . The only things that I'm not too pleased about are the way we log the hours honestly I'm very forgetful I have 5 kids and I don't always remember to log hours. When I do go to catch up it's kind of inconvenient how they have classes in there that are not necessary to be on there it used to be a fast easy process now it's like I have to skip over all these unnecessary classes that are on there for no reason and it makes me click the wrong things sometimes. Also the new system I still haven't gotten used to but that may be because I'm not that tech savvy. Lastly the amount of work kindergarten has compared to my 8th grader is pretty insane . My son has speech problems so he gets very frustrated having to read through all his work and finds it unfair that my daughter gets done hoursss before him and to have a 5 year old sit through all that work isn't easy . He has a lot of melt downs and is easily frustrated by the process. But like I said overall we have enjoyed OHVA k12 so much so that we are renewing. It's just going to take some getting used to with the new set up.

You’re not alone in feeling that the process has become less streamlined, and we know how frustrating it can be when extra classes appear or when the system makes it easy to click the wrong thing. We’re actively working toward improvements to make the platform more intuitive and efficient again.
The transition to the new system has been an adjustment for many families, and it’s completely understandable that it feels overwhelming if technology isn’t your favorite thing. We appreciate your patience as we continue refining the experience.
Regarding the workload differences, especially for your kindergartener, we hear you. Younger learners—particularly those with speech or reading challenges—can find the structure demanding, and it’s tough when siblings finish at such different times. Your son’s frustration is completely valid, and we know how hard it can be to support a little one through those moments. We’re continually reviewing grade‑level expectations and student support needs to help make learning more manageable and developmentally appropriate.
Your honesty helps us grow, and your continued trust in OHVA means a great deal. We’re committed to making the platform smoother, more supportive, and easier for families like yours. Thank you again for sticking with us and for sharing such thoughtful feedback.

OHVA has been the best choice for my son.
OHVA has been great. I am so glad I enrolled my son. He has done so well. All of the teachers have been so good for help. They have encouraged him to
Do his best and he has. There is no bullying, he gets good grades and we live the convenience of online classes. I would definitely recommend OHVA to everyone.

Thankful for our OHVA advisor
My teen who suffers with social anxiety and sensory issues thought she’d be okay to try in person school again so we went through the whole process of withdrawing from OHVA and enrolling her with the local high school only to have her struggle so badly after 2 days. I was worried it was too late to get her re-enrolled at OHVA but thankfully her OHVA adviser was able to get her withdrawal stopped and get her back into classes. She was a week behind because of the difference between school calendars but she was able to communicate with her teachers and catch up.
