Bogus "Shipping Protection" pre-selected on ever order

"Route Shipping Protection" is a litmus test for the ethics of a company and there is a reason Class Action Lawsuits are cropping up against companies that use it. Kalm with Kava is profit sharing off this bogus pre-selected charge which adds several dollars to your order for something that is 100% shifting the liability for a lost order onto the customer. If you pay a company to ship a product to you and USPS or Fedex looses it on the way, that company is already responsible for shipping it again and for them to seek restitution from the shipper or absorb this very rare incident as the cost of doing business. If Kalm really wants to offer this to customers, they should make it opt-in and not pre-selected. They turn it on by default because it makes them money when people accidentally leave it or don't notice it when checking out. Other people think its a necessary shipping and handling cost.

In the Class Action Lawsuit, complaints include:
Deceptive Tactics: Complaints allege that retailers, in partnership with Route, use sneaky, pre-checked boxes to opt customers into buying package protection, often on the final payment screen.

"Junk Fees" Allegations: The suits argue these charges are, in effect, hidden shipping costs disguised as insurance, violating consumer protection laws, including California’s Unfair Competition and False Advertising laws.

I have purchased medium grind kava from…

I have purchased medium grind kava from Kalm With Kava that I did like very much; however, my one-star review is due to the fact that Kalm With Kava is apparently one of those companies who does not post negative reviews of their products on their website. I found their micronized kava to have no kava effect at all, and when I left a negative review saying so (because kava isn't cheap and people should know that the micronized form might not work for them), they did not post my review. I would have continued to purchase the medium grind kava from them, but now that I know that their reviews are manipulated and cannot be trusted, I will be seeking out a different kava vendor. I believe that people should be allowed to read all reviews and to decide for themselves based on honest customer feedback. (And in my negative review of the micronized version of kava, I did recommend their medium grind, so it wasn't all bad.) Kalm With Kava only posts reviews of their products that they want to be seen and this has lost them my business going forward.

Literally stole money

The check out process said the transaction did not go through, and yet they took money out of my account. They have no method of contacting them, so they essentially just stole my money. Now I have to go through the credit card company to get a refund. What a scam.

Kalm with kava is such a great company

Kalm with kava is such a great company, I'm so thankful to have a company with top notch kava and fast shipping times. I never knew kava was so good for anxiety and am grateful to have this company. I am trying to get off of these nasty benzodiazepines, and I find that kava helps aid in my taper. Thank you kalm with kava for having such a great product. Would recommend to anyone with anxiety. Please stay away from benzos, they are horrible.

Don’t buy!!!

Don’t buy!!!! Major issues with shipping! You will not get your package. The package stays stuck at customs for months and the company has no idea why and can’t help you. I know over 12 people whom are affected can you imagine how many people are going through the same thing? Please make sure this situation gets resolved asap. We are all still waiting for our packages. Some got refunded but not the 50$ shipping cost. Why does the customer not refunded the shipping cost for a product they never received?!
