High Legh Garden Centre Cafe

Last 2 visits the breakfast has been cold and clearly batch cooked and left congealing for a long time. The 1st occasion i just put down to a busy day for the kitchen staff etc but the 2nd time I spoke to the staff who sent out another cold sausage on a saucer, then some time after sent out a piece of completely cold cremated bacon on a saucer, it was so overcooked it looked like pork scratching. Didn’t attempt to eat the any of the inedible replacements and who serves food on a saucer ?
Then asked to speak to manager.
Manager apologised and explained “they have a new chef who doesn’t seem to be able to follow assignments” which is a bit worrying considering food hygiene and allergy laws.
Manager was apologetic and refunded the breakfast but the whole experience was disappointing and worrying.

The garden centre is great but wouldn’t recommend the cafe.

We visited stokesley garden centre to purchase a garden lounge set, having first rang and spoken to Diane we travelled from our home to see what we thought we wanted to buy. When we got there we liked another similar set, Diane helped with the decision giving the differences of each and how it would work for us, She never once tried to rush the decision was very patient, knowledgable and a very pleasant person making the experience very enjoyable

Served by a stern, unfriendly, miserable member of staff in the cafe at Northallerton. Takes the edge off what should have been a pleasant experience.

Would like to say Diane from strikes garden centre in stokesley went above and beyond in sourcing garden furniture for us. We are very happy with our purchase and it has made a great difference to our garden,can't thank Diane enough for her help

We go to Stokesley Garden Centre 2 or 3 days a week and we love it. We have cheese scones and coffee. Sometimes our grandson joins us and he enjoys their sandwiches. Only one criticism, when tables are cleaned a spray sanitizer should be used and not just wiping tables with same cloth for all tables. I bring my own sanitizer wipes!

I was given a voucher for buy one get one free gardeners breakfast deal.
Complete shambles. As queue was so long I decided to order with QR code. Would not take voucher so had to join queue. I then repeated order to the girl. I asked if my coffees could come with breakfast, apparently not I would get them now unless I came back but would need to join queue again. So I took the coffees but noticed I was charged an extra £3 for scrambled eggs instead of the fried egg. Explanation was they use more eggs. Breakfast arrived, cold and very little scrambled egg. Will not be back as nobody is confident in what they are doing and constantly asking questions with each other. So much time wasted.

My glass topped patio table fell victim to storms on 4th August and I emailed Supremo direct to enquiry about a replacement.
After not receiving a response by 26th August I called into Strikes at Stokesley, where the said item had been purchased.
Maria was so helpful, making contact with Supremo, keeping me informed and telephoning to check that I had received a response.

The Klondyke Cafe, Hedon Road, Hull closed years ago. It provided tea, bacon sandwiches, etc. for workers on King George Dock, people in Marfleet, ladies of the night and drunken sailors. The building was a mess of salvaged lumber, metal sheeting, etc. AI is wrong. It was independent and never part of the Klondyke series.

Last year I held a massive BBQ and John in the butchers was the absolute best. So helpful and his kebabs were amazing. I went in on Monday 29 June to be met by a miserable sulky looking boy who said they didn’t have any kebabs. I said can you make me six and I will pick them up tomorrow morning. He just looked at me as if I had just asked him to rob a bank. So I arrived on Tuesday morning. Can I have my order please? He then proceeded to get my order together. It wasn’t already done. Customer service skills zero. We then looked at the so called kebabs and they weren’t like last year with peppers and onions and cubed chicken. What you would expect right? They were chicken breasts scored with a knife with some seasoning. Then charged £4 each. Unbelievable. Won’t be back and I will be enlightening my friends also. Shocking

Visited Strikes in Stokesley and we purchased the Antigua suite for our summer house. We were supported by a lovely lady who worked there called Diane. Diane informed all we needed to know about the furniture, she was very knowledgeable and kind, pleasant, and friendly throughout our visit. Diane give us plenty of space and time to decide about the furniture,she put no pressure on us at all and even suggested we get the grow card as we would get money put on it after we made the purchase. Diane made the whole experience a pleasure

Had 3 meals off their house specials Maccaroni cheese Hunters chicken and Fish and chips for just under £50. Both Hunters chicken and Maccaroni overcooked and dry.
Came to Berkeley garden centre in Burton on Trent for a carvery but was greeted with Klondike and their over priced Overcooked food.
Next time we will have a pub lunch before visiting the garden centre.
Never again.

Beverley garden centre. My wife is wheelchair bound and getting into the shop and out is difficult as there is a small step at all doors plus they have put items into the aisles making it extremely difficult to go through, plus someone was watering outside and we couldn't get over the hose and there was no way round no one seems to have thought about disabled people.

my wife and i had Sunday lunch at your Wilmslow Garden centre and I have to say it was awful chicken very tough struggle to cut it with my knife will not recommend it and will not be going back

Just had lunch at Polmont and I was very disappointed.
Ordered cheese and bacon baked potato and it was not worth half of what I paid. The potato was brownish and far from fresh and it had been squashed upward with a very small bit of filling plonked on top. We quite often call in for a lunch or snack after shopping but I think that’s the last time.

I placed an order for a growrewards card on 29th December 2024 and I paid extra to have it posted to me. It eventually arrived damaged in the post on 21st January 2025. It seems this was activated on the day I placed the order despite the literature which accompanied the card stating that it would be activated the first time I used it in store. I have approached Klondyke to request an extension as I have missed out on the first month, however they were not interesred in helping. I feel cheated as I paid for a 12 month membership and recieved an 11 month one. When I queeried this in store the member of staff said that they usually advised customers to buy in store for this very reason. What a rip off!

The food is dreadful. Macaroni cheese has no taste of cheese at all. The scone was not cooked in the middle.

Everyone is lovely in klondyke but the baristas in the coffee shop really need some training as how to make the coffee and keep the queue flowing....

Have previously complained about wood and kindling being kept under gap in ceiling in garden center Polmont branch letting it get wet. Had been told would look into it but haven't done anything. Warning to anyone buying this wood it will do more harm to your log burner so best avoid unless it's stored where it can't get wet

Staff always so helpful nothing is ever too much trouble!

Had amazing service at Strikes Stokesley from Dom and Diane, buying a barbeque, nothing too much trouble make me think about my options, very thorough. So if you visit Stokesley branch ask for them.
