Very disappointed
Stayed in a lodge for a wedding and requested disabled lodge
Was informed it was accessible
Well no way was it accessible to a wheelchair user. Do t be fooled by accessible IT IS NOT ADAPTED
A metal ramp was provided which was so steep a self propelled wheelchair would struggle to get up it and that was basically the meaning of accessible you got up onto the decking !
None of the entry doors had low threshold in fact they had 4 inch door frames which again no way to gain entry into lodge with wheelchair
You couldn’t get a wheelchair or move a wheelchair around either bedroom and the shower cubicle was too difficult to get a disabled person in
No shower chair or drop down seat in in shower
No grab rails or raised toilet seat
Please if you are thinking of booking a lodge here and they offer one which is accessible Do not be fooled by that word
It is not at all user friendly for wheelchair users
(We asked for a seat for shower and none was provided )
Ps the wheelchair lift to access lfunction room is down corridors and just about holds a wheelchair with the person being left on their own while carer has to navigate where the lift finishes
