Located within Southampton’s 14th century old walls just up from our busy waterfront and internationally important port. We sell a wide range of new and used equipment from all of the leading brands. We offer expert unbiased advice on the best photographic equipment to fit your needs. Wildlife observation is also one of our passions, whether it be binoculars, scopes or remote trail cams.We can also buy your camera for cash or part exchange against purchases, bring your equipment in-store for a valuation, please note -ID required. With over fifty years of experience in the photographic trade our shop is staffed by a keen team with interests in photography, videography and birdwatching.

I’ve been a customer of LCE since the 90’s, and always get great service from the Southampton High Street branch.
A couple of years go, Paul provided great service when I traded in my old Sony A6000 for the A6700 and a new lens.
This past weekend, at a “Coffee and Cameras” event involving Manfrotto, Marc provided great service and a good deal on a new tripod. It wasn’t in stock, but I was able to collect it today (they did offer to post, but I had the afternoon free).
Everyone is always up for a chat, and there are various events throughout the year, including photo walks and demo days.

Another very good experience with a branch of LCE
Re a recently purchased secondhand Manfrotto 055 Pro tripod described as 4* rating.
The tripod arrived in a timely manner in the condition described and for, what I consider to be, a bargain price.
Very pleased with the Manfrotto and with all aspects of the purchase process.

Quick but pricey delivery on small inexpensive item.
Quick turnaround but delivery was a bit pricey for a small item. I would have been happier with a slower but less expensive delivery option.
