Opening in the mid-sixty's we were London Camera Exchange’s fourth store to open and one of Southampton City Centre’s oldest in situ retail businesses. Located within Southampton’s 14th century old walls just up from our busy waterfront and internationally important port. We sell a wide range of new and used equipment from all of the leading brands. We offer expert unbiased advice on the best photographic equipment to fit your needs. Wildlife observation is also one of our passions, whether it be binoculars, scopes or remote trail cams.We can also buy your camera for cash or part exchange against purchases, bring your equipment in-store for a valuation, please note -ID required. With over fifty years of experience in the photographic trade our shop is staffed by a keen team with interests in photography, videography and birdwatching.

Pre-ordered the new Sony RX10V when it was announced. Updates were clear & the camera was available as advertised. The transaction was completed easily and the camera was dispatched promptly. First impressions are that the camera is superb, looking forward to giving it a thorough test on a wildlife trip to Wales early next month. Great service as usual from LCE. Thank you.

Informative, helpful, warm and trustworthy.
I’ve had a good relationship with LCE Southampton for around a year. And have to say that the staff, the service, and sense of community i have always found exceptional. O would certainly recommend them.

Free events with the LCE in Southampton
This time we went in a photo walk arranged by LCE in Southampton High Street in partnership with SCUL. It’s great that they arrange these free events. I always find the team in the High Street branch, knowledgeable helpful and super friendly. This is a great place to find the camera gear you want with plenty of help to ensure you choose the right kit for you

I’ve been a customer of LCE since the 90’s, and always get great service from the Southampton High Street branch.
A couple of years go, Paul provided great service when I traded in my old Sony A6000 for the A6700 and a new lens.
This past weekend, at a “Coffee and Cameras” event involving Manfrotto, Marc provided great service and a good deal on a new tripod. It wasn’t in stock, but I was able to collect it today (they did offer to post, but I had the afternoon free).
Everyone is always up for a chat, and there are various events throughout the year, including photo walks and demo days.
