I ordered my patchwork dress back in December of 2024. I’m in the US so I didn’t get it until March. I received in with a big hole in it and the patch was frayed. Not an easy fix for someone with no sewing experience. So I contact her. She tells me I can send it back to be fixed and if I show the receipt, she will cover the cost for shipping, fix it same day, and send it back out immediately. Life happened and end of June I emailed her again asking if the offer still stood. She agreed! And I thought that was very generous so I agreed to cover the cost of shipping to her. I sent it out first week of July. I let her know via email to expect it within 6-10 days. I tracked it and it arrived to her!
But she ghosted.
I had emailed her a handful of times over a few weeks. I finally had to reach out on Instagram and she said she’d check her email. Still no response. Still no dress as of September 8. I tried to reach out via Instagram and her website again this morning. Now both are gone LOL. This is honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had with a business. So not only am I out the cost of the dress, but I’m also out the extra $30 for shipping it back to her.
I’ve been in contact with another girl who never had her dress show up and when it finally did, it was entirely the wrong size and had small holes in it from where she messed up sewing it.
To see this woman not properly fulfilling her orders but posting on her book TikTok account is so maddening and disheartening. It’s such a shame she’s scammed so many people. No wonder her shop is closing.

I had to resort to messaging her husband on September 15th on Instagram and asking him if he knows his wife steals money from customers. It’s the only thing that got me a response from her. She has been giving me the run around about a refund since. She’s asked for my bank info multiple times and obviously I did not trust her with that. She snarkily responded “all you can do is send money to it” when I asked if we could use PayPal for my protection. She asked for the email about a month ago and she hasn’t responded since. The fact she views this behavior as acceptable is insane and disgusting. I can’t believe she gets to continue to have a platform.

Jess announced that she was closing her dress making business and after having my eye on some for a while I finally bought one before she closed. I was so excited to have the perfect gingham milkmaid dress!
Purchased 30th June and waited the mentioned 4 weeks dispatch window. Nothing.
Emailed saying that I understood she might have had a big influx of orders due to closing and that delays happen, I was still happy but would just like an updated eta. No response. Despite her posting in her Instagram story that she would be replying to emails that weekend.
A week later (06/08) I get a dispatch notification! Great right? No. It never shows. Now I'm aware she only posts First Class and not a tracked service unless you choose this option - but my order of 1 dress qualified for free shipping and didn't give me any other option. I work in shipping myself and know how long a Royal Mail parcel takes to get from A to B using First Class, and it's not weeks.
So I wait till the 13/08 and it still hasn't arrived. I email to let her know.
No response (which reading all the other reviews, I should not be shocked by).
I reach out on Instagram on the 16th, no response.
I reach out by email again on the 18th, no response.
I have now paused my final Klarna payment, and reported an issue with the seller because I'm not paying anything more until I receive the item or she confirms that she never actually made or intended to make it.
19/08 she finally responds to my Instagram DM with "Hi there! Sure thing whats up?" - I had said what's up in my DM but reiterated it again and was told she would look into it that evening after work.
Cut to today 20/08 - I didn't receive a reply to my email last night and she's posting again in her Instagram story how all dresses have been made and shipped.
I'm not confident that my dress will show up and if it doesn't I will be escalating this further. In all honesty, if I had seen all these reviews before ordering, it would have put me off ordering entirely.
She's starting up her prints business again and is also actively posting on tiktok about a book she's now writing - I wouldn't be confident as a buyer or interested party of any of those, that they'd show with how she's decided to run her clothing business.
No one, I repeat, no one has that amount of problems with sending parcels via Royal Mail - and if you do, maybe you're the problem babe.
Side note - the website link at the top of the review page takes you to some scammy looking supplement web page. Apt with how scammy she's been acting. But not correct.

Terrible, no communication no dress
Ordered a patchwork dress on the 12th of Feb and emailed about a customisation and didn’t receive a response. Emailed again in March about said customisation of the dress and again never received an email other than the automatic response. After 9 weeks no reply about the customisation I continually checked my orders progress then decided to check out reviews. I was absolutely horrified to see people having such horrendous experiences and I didn’t feel confident about ever receiving said dress so reported the transaction with my bank to receive money back. I don’t think the dress had even come close to ever being made, and again no response from seller or inquiry about chargeback. Not worth the hassle unfortunately which is a shame as the dresses online appear beautiful
Scammer seller - report to action fraud team
Would give 0 stars if I could she’s a rude scammer who will steal your money and not give you what you ordered. Ordered 4 dresses and 7 weeks later after ordering a parcel arrived which looked too small. Filmed opening it and only 2 dresses were there. One of which was the wrong size and the second was the wrong size and wrong print. I chased the seller and she said it would arrive the next day. Surprise surprise it didn’t. She wouldn’t provide any proof of postage or tracking and the dresses were never sent. She said if I paid to post back the other dresses she would fix them and send the one I ordered. After ignored emails and my comments being deleted off instagram I asked for a refund. She said to contact shopify which I hadn’t ordered through and it wasn’t her responsibility to sort a refund. Still no refund has been received as she won’t respond to the party I paid through.
Major scammer and I’ve reported her to Action Fraud police. If you read this and she has scammed you too please report her to the Action Fraud team, it’s only a simple phone call initially and submission of your evidence later on. There is a case now open against her and it’s gone to the National Fraud Intelligence Bureau, so they can investigate the owner, Mrs Jessica Gibson. Plus, if you’ve got the time report her to trading standards too. The more complaints against her, will help the police build a bigger case. If she carries on she will land herself in prison for fraudulent business practice. As you’ve guessed I do have too much time on my hands haha. But please do report her if you have the time, as it will stop other people being scammed.
Little addition - I’ve found the National CyberSecurity Centre can investigate and take down scamming websites. If you go onto the site and enter her website address and what happened to you they can investigate and hopefully take down her website.
So overall, don’t trust her instagram because she isn’t a legit business which is pretty clear from the trust pilot reviews. Just wish I had seen these first before ordering.

Please do not order from this shop! For 40k+ followers she is a top notch scam artist who will ignore and avoid any problems she causes.
Ordered a dress at the end of September with the understanding it would be 4 weeks to receive my order, 6 weeks passed with no further information about my order so I sent an email with an automatic response to say she would get back to me, she did not. 2 weeks later, so 8 weeks after ordering I receive my order, with the completely wrong dress, wrong fabric, wrong style, wrong size. I want to add that I paid £90 for this dress which was listed in her Autumn/ Halloween collection for “premium” fabric, the fabric quality was appalling in comparison to other custom dress orders from different small businesses.
So after receiving the completely wrong item I email again, receive an automatic reply again and got no response. After waiting a week, I email again, receive an automatic reply and got no official response. So I reached out via DM on instagram, got no response so I began messaging every few days to which I got no response. So I commented on a recent post and then I finally got a reply on messages saying she would look into it. This whole situation happens for weeks, back and forth of me messaging, commenting and getting the same half arsed response of “I’ll look into it”. Every comment I posted she deleted. My friend emailed, commented and messaged too to try and hurry a response and she ended up getting blocked. After a total of 7 weeks and me threatening to report her business to trading standards she finally gives me the details to return it and said she would cover 2nd class postage. I sent the dress back via tracked and signature so I knew she received it.
She receives the dress a few days after I said I would return it and then back to the beginning again, getting no responses from all forms of contact. I emailed again, sent messages again and commented on multiple posts. She finally messaged to say she had sent the refund through shopify when she received it, I had no contact from shopify to say a refund was being processed like I have received from previous returns so I said I would contact them myself to make sure it gets sorted. Finally after 11 weeks of receiving the completely wrong item, continuous back and forth emails, messages and comments, I finally got my refund of £90, no return shipping covered, of course!
I can appreciate running a small business is hard, but ignoring mistakes made by yourself and speaking the customers in the patronising way she did is disgusting service. It shouldn’t take 11 weeks to receive a refund for the completely wrong item.

I contacted the seller on 03/01/2025 to change the size of the dress & had an email back confirming my email had been received but never heard further. The only email I had back after was to say the order had been shipped on 27/01/2025, it didn’t arrive until 05/02/2025 and tracking shows the order wasn’t actually shipped until 02/02/2025. Dress wasn’t made until the last week of January which you can see from the sellers social media in which she features the dress in a ‘dresses I made this week’ video dated 01/02/2025
I reached out to the seller again when the dress arrived through social media and email - again I had a response over email acknowledging my message had been received and to wait for a reply.
Having no response again for days I commented on sellers social media - my comment was very quickly removed and I finally received a response in the form of a message on social media day after saying I would receive a response after she had read it that day, which I did not. I messaged again once I noticed my comment had been removed stating it was an urgent matter and would appreciate a response, but once again, no reply, despite her being active on social media.
I have dated screenshots of all of the above and am pursuing refunds for both orders (the second of which I have still not received despite it being 6 weeks tomorrow since I placed the order) with my bank
Looking online I am not the first to have issues with this seller - the Trustpilot reviews are awful. I like to support small businesses where I can, especially women owned but the lack of communication I’ve received is awful. I have had issues with this seller in the past with the same dresses being different sizes but didn’t escalate, however as this is the second time I've had an issue with the seller and after reaching out to her repeatedly and not receiving a response despite giving ample time for her to get back to me. It seems that many others have had trouble reaching a satisfactory resolution with the seller and therefore I have lost my trust in Jess completely
Update - Klarna dispute ended after Jess submitted false evidence which I challenged and was fully refunded for the second dress which was never received
Monzo also refunded me fully and are moving forward to challenge Jess without my involvement as they are confident they’ll win 👍🏻

Shocked isn’t even half of it! Ordered the dress in November for a holiday in January, messaged her at the start of jan to ask how the dress was going and if it’ll come in time because it says “4 weeks” to make, no reply of course, made a complaint on the SHOP app and then relieved the dress last week, at first glance I was pleased but then I put it on a released she has done 3/4 of the dress then stitched one huge panel on the back so only 3/4 is match work and it isn’t the right shape, it’s lopsided and rushed, the front of the dress looks lovely and the right body shape then the back is so uneven and sloppy, I’m so disappointed and it wasn’t here in time for my holiday either, do not buy from her and please look at all the other reviews before mine as I should have!

Either she is a scammer or she just has terrible customer service. I gave her the benefit of the doubt for a long time. Ordered in August hoping to wear the dress for a wedding in October. After 6 weeks (website stated 4 week turnaround) I got the dispatch email but no dress turned up. Contacted her several times and was ignored. Finally got an email blaming Royal Mail. Lots more ignored emails and DMs later she agreed to sort a refund via Royal Mail. That didn’t happen either so have now had to go through PayPal (surprise surprise no response on there either so had to escalate) now it’s in the hand of PayPal. Asked her for proof dress was made she said she never took a picture when I find hard to believe. First time ever buying a custom made piece and this whole experience has put me off ever doing it again.

If I could put a zero I would! Like everyone here I wish I would have looked up to see these reviews before I placed my order. At 5 weeks I messaged her on instagram asking about my order. She never gave me an exact answer but she said she was sure it was sent. I paid for tracked shipping which she never sent tome. After asking for it almost everyday for two weeks and continuing to get the run around I called her out for being a scammer and requested a stop in payment with my bank. I’m so upset, her dresses are beautiful, but she’s an ugly person for being like this! I hope KARMA comes her way soon!

Disgusting seller etiquette
Disgusting seller etiquette. Terrible product, an absolute waste of time and money. Dress came weeks late, even though i messed her saying it was for a wedding and it was important that i knew if there was going to be any delays. Her excuse was the she had indeed sent the dress out and that it was returned back to her, however i had no red slip to say so. She said she would re send it out first class and of course she didn’t, it came
weeks later again and arrived very poorly made, totally rushed and riddled with holes. I tried to contact her multiple times and to send it back, i eventually got her return address (no pre paid shipping label and so it cost me a further £8 to send it back), and here i am months later still without a refund. AVOID HER AT ALL COSTS
Terrible customer service
Ordered a top and it is way too large and has stitching issues. It took 2months + to come (instead of the 4 week turn around stated on the website) and I had to pay extra postage as she had not paid enough. Been trying to contact the seller to fix my item and heard nothing back.

I have made two orders from this shop and this is how they went:
order 1
-made during a free postage promotion. I didn't want to see the owner out of pocket so I gave her a tip to value of the postage (£3.50). A few weeks later the dressed was dispatched but after a couple more weeks it hadn't arrived. I sent an email. A few days later I get a knock on the door from the postman, I've been sent a parcel where the postage isn't paid and I need to pay £3.50. That day Jessica emailed me back, explaining that she'd had a note from royal mail to say the delivery had been refused. I let her know about the unpaid postage and let her know I'd paid it again. No refund for the postage was offered, but equally I didn't chase it. The dress came and I really liked it. Now in hindsight I wish I'd seen the postage issue for the massive red flag it was

Made at the end of March, still not received and no dispatch notice. I've sent several chaser emails and had one email back (three weeks ago) to say she would 'check with the post office'. I believe the dress has not been made, no refund has been offered and no response received to my request for a refund.
I'll be getting a refund via my bank and reporting to trading standards.
Look at the etsy reviews, and also the number of Instagram posts that seem to have comments missing. This seems to be a very regular thing and I wish I'd checked all this out before buying.

Where to begin...
From the time I ordered the dresses to actually receiving them was about two months. They "shipped" one month in with no tracking and never arrived because they somehow were "returned to sender" mysteriously. When they finally did ship with tracking (that she made a statement about paying out of pocket for) one dress was missing, one was rough as sandpaper, and the other was covered in loose threads with a hole in it.
After months of emailing her I only ever received responses when I commented asking questions on her instagram page. When I was rightfully upset and expressed this frustration and said I just wanted a refund because I felt that I had been scammed out of almost $300 for three dresses she told me she was offended and she wouldn't have a business if she were a scammer.
Currently filing a dispute with PayPal.

Jessica promised to send out the dress and then never did until I escalated the case to Paypal where she continued to lie about having sent the dress out. I needed the dress for an event that was missed due to Jessica's lack of bothering to make and send the dress out
When it did eventually arrive it was poorly made, didn't fit correctly and was weeks after the event I needed it fort and is completely unwearable. Jessica has refused to refund and so has Paypal

Ordered my dress on December 23rd. It said there was a four week turnaround. I left it 7 weeks and made contact. She ignored emails and DM's claiming she's a busy, working Mum - aren't we all?
Eventually sent the dress and it was completely the wrong style and hadn't been made to my specifications.
All messages ignored unless shamed on Instagram by commenting directly to one of her many posts.
I had to open a case with PayPal in order to get a refund and still didn't get the postage refunded to send the wrong dress back.
Seller has a horrible attitude, makes you feel like you are infringing on her family time and literally does not care less - do not expect a sorry or any concern whatsoever!
If the reviews here aren't enough do check her out on Etsy - lots more of the same thing.
I have now been blocked by her but at least I have the price of the dress back. Goodness knows how many more people will have to go through this before she is stopped!
