Liberty - Melissa Baxter Avis 

I was transparent with Melissa and provided her everything she asked for. Melissa took all of my information, documents and did a pre-approval and provided me with no documentation, even when asked numerous times. When I contacted her due to having a conditional contract, she eventually replied telling me that she has stopped being a mortgage broker, that I should contact the bank directly and then blocked me from accessing any of her social media. When I contacted Liberty finance, I had to do pre-approval again and was told that Melissa had given me an incorrect figure of 50k more than I am entitled to. The bank told me that she had reported my income to be 15k higher than it is, she also told them I had paid my HECS off, and asked me to tell payroll to hold payments for 6 pay cycles. This means I now lose my future home, conveyancing fees ($2200) and a contract deposit fee. I am a 46 year old hard working, single mum and would have aimed lower had I have known my true capacity, I overlooked so many properties that I could have offered on. Melissa has cost me part of my savings, precious time and so much anguish. She has disappeared and taken no responsibility to have contacted me to inform me that she was going to stop practicing. I will have to continue renting, she has ruined my future. I’m devastated.
