I hate lightspeed because my school blocks everything!

Whoever made this thing can join pewdiepie in hell. I’d rather lick banana shit off of a monkeys ass than have to see this pulling some bullshit again. Whoever made lightspeed probably made it in a way similar to the hunger games, all jokes at first but then one idiot led to another and everyone uses it. Voluntary or not.

Blocks everything. Awful and is spyware and records you. it blocks images like why tf.

Blocks completely safe images. Blocks game sites like coolmath. And just a horrible software overall. To the creator - there eating my flesh!

Lightspeed Filter is literally the worst thing ever made. It tracks everything you do, even when you're at home on your own Wi-Fi, which is super creepy and totally unsafe for our privacy... it also has access to our PHYSICAL LOCATION!! So creepy... also, half the time it blocks basic stuff we actually need for class, or even safe sites for research, so nobody can even do their homework. And because it blocks everything, everyone just ends up using super sketchy proxy sites to bypass it, which actually gives us viruses. It doesn't keep anyone safe; it just ruins our Chromebooks.

Absolutely rubbish. Blocks everything useful. Forces me to go crazy. Thinks gaming websites are warez, blocks all ads so I can’t get unlimited games, blocks most games and doesn’t stop distractions. The games that are unblocked are always brainrot. This sucks

Honestly are you okay?

This is blocking educational websites AND educational YouTube videos. It blocked my scratch notifications and many things used for school. This is flaming hot GARBAGE and another thing this focuses more on blocking games and other such things more than things like malware, in fact with the way this works IT'S more like malware

Update: this thing is literally tracking our GPS location AND things near us. They literally say that they're selling our information to third-party sources.

To the board: One day, karma for all the students you forcefully violated the privacy of will catch up to you either in life or death and I hope the guilt never leaves the tightness in your chest, the heaviness in your bloodstream, and the ache in your head, reminding you of all the children who lost a bit of childish spark when their favorite writing platform was banned, when they heard teachers talking about chats they opened up to with their friends, when they scroll for hours on Google images to find one picture that's not banned, when they're forced to use a mandated computer and yet laughed at for asking for privacy on it, when you realize you didn't make our teenage years more studious, just less trustworthy of corporations and adults like you, with no empathy or regard for joy. Got to say this make me hate everything with lightspeed in the name and it banned the word red because of Reddit and is just scammy I saw how they showed the screen and it was blurry and with all of that I have dislexia, discrpha, and adhd meaning it is hard for me to read a book so I use a reliable audio book thing (audible) and they banned it they banned something that nobody was abusing or anything just a thing to read books without have to take them from a library that doesn’t even exist with the ai blocking everything it blocked quizzlet and apperenlty (idk if this is true because I don’t use it) for a solid month it blocked IXL math because that’s what most of the gaming stores claimed they were and this is coming from a student and a teacher that says yes it helps it more of a inconvenience than anything (sorry with misspelling on a iPhone and with the dislexia and discraphia)

I put in soughter board into Google and it says its REDDIT apparently Google is reddit and sometimes it says Google is SHOPPING its horrible do not use for schools because things that shouldn't be blacked are blocked

At least it doesn't block YouTube or Scratch. Other than that, GoGuardian 2: Electric Boogaloo. It blocks 90% of fully safe-for-kids images but not two women twerking in the camera, then you get expelled for seeing the girls twerking on a completely unrelated search. Complete breach of privacy. Trust used to be the default, now we're tracking, analyzing, and storing bathroom breaks with E-Hall Pass and stalking students because "we can't trust gen alpha". You said the same about Gen Z, and what happened? Nobody dropped a recreation of the bomb we dropped on Osaka in WWII just because a student was actually given something revolutionary: trust.

the good thing is its not blocked on this Chromebook because I can't access YouTube but I can access an recreation of 9/11 making fun like that's messed up are we devolving as a society even if I'm at home its mourning what I'm doing. Btw I plead the 4th amendment

HORRIBLE. Wanna go to a game website? Nope. Want to search up the word Unblocked? Cant. It blocks EVERYTHING. When you are in school sure, I have no beef, as kids like myself should be focusing on school, but Two reasons, one it is INCREDIBLY easy to work around it, Only If you have the right tools, and yet half of those will also be blocked, its a complete wast of money if you are a teacher and that is a fact. Kids can find ways in Literally EVERY way possible, so the school district is paying $55,000 per year, just to have it not work. The other issue is that it is incredibly annoying. Your at home after a long day of school, you go on your computer to play a game only to find that is blocked. After school, you should have free time to play games, and watch movies without having to go down a rabbit hole just to find a website that could get you arrested. I work around this filter agent all the time in school, so it never applies to me, but for others it is a wast. of anything that you can imagine

So I've heard, the teachers are experiencing troubles finding good educational videos because my school updated their YouTube rules.
And that's 100% my school's fault. Not ours. Not even a 0.1%.
My school is starting to mimic the Roblox "bad updates" situation. THATS A PROBLEM.

Yeah... Ｆuck lightspeed. It does nothing except invade the privacy of students. I'm unsure about the ethics of the company; idk if they're selling our data or not. It gives teachers the ability to look at your screen and see all of your tabs. Not only that but they can see how many tabs AND windows you have open. Teachers will be able to close and block tabs for students. Lightspeed is a disgrace and should NOT be installed AUTOMATICALLY on our computers.
