Liquorland uses Doordash who don't turn up and nobody follows up

Today (Friday 6:01pm) I placed an online order for 1-hour express delivery. Soon after (6:11pm) I received a text advising the order was packed and ready. After 2/12 hours I called the contact number the had been provided - 1300 300 640. After a few minutes of delays they checked my order and said that Doordash had not collected it. My order was with Liquourland not Doordash. I asked what had happened and what follow up was occurring. Apparently nothing had occurred at all! They had no solution for their problem either and it was very quickly apparent that it was now my problem to sort out with the store. They eventually let me know where the store was (Redcliffe Warehouse) They flatly refused to provide any names or contact details of the Area Manager or anyone else responsible for the issues, just their titles. They also refused to contact the store. They then said I should call back on Monday? I then asked to speak with a supervisor or manager to escalate the matter and they hung up. I then contacted the store who stated that it was in fact the on-line team who were responsible for contacting Doordash and they had nothing at all to do with deliveries. They explained and confirmed that the order was packed and ready, but that nobody from Doordash had come to collect it. They do not follow up either, so clearly the Liquorland system is designed for the Customer to initiate and follow through with all post-failure actions. They then put me back through to Customer services, but it was a busy tone. I then called it again myself (8:54pm) when surprisingly I was eventually faced with the same unhelpful/original person. They proceeded to repeat their demand for me to call Monday, refused to speak to me, threatened me not to call again and promptly hung up. This is probably the most illogical, insane and most distressing on-line experience ever. Not sure what has happed to this business over the last 12 months, but I’m done with the utter incompetence and stupidity of the Liquorland on-line offering. If this is where Coles is headed, I wont bother even considering trying its supermarket on-line platform either.

What a nightmare

I placed my first order with Liquorland Broadway this morning, and it took me 3 hours trying to contact somebody about an over charge.
Finally, I was able to speak to somebody and the amount they have on my order was not what was charged. Also I was offered a $10 discount for my first order if I spent $100, and as I spent $107.90 I should have receive the discount. When they gave me the $10 discount it took me below the $100 so no $10 discount. What excellent customer service. I would NEVER use Liquorland again.

​Description of Incident:
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the aggressive and unprofessional behavior I experienced at your Carindale Westfield location.
​After purchasing a bottle of gin, I politely asked the cashier if a brown paper bag or a box was available. The staff member, identified as Phe lan, became immediately agitated and hostile. He responded by stating he did not have any and used extremely vulgar language, telling me he "couldn't pull them out of his ass."
​As he walked away, he clearly told me to "F.O" While he eventually provided a box, his demeanor was threatening and erratic throughout the exchange.
​Resolution Requested:
This level of verbal abuse is unacceptable in a service environment. I would appreciate confirmation that this incident will be investigated and that the staff member involved receives urgent retraining in customer service and conflict resolution. No customer should be subjected to profanity or hostility for making a standard request.

Liquorland/Vintage Cellars Promotion Fallout

As part of the transfer of Vintage Cellars and First Choice bottle shops to Liquoland a promotion was offered called TAKE10 whereby a $10 discount was offered on a minimal purchase of $30.
This was originally advertised as expiring on 28/2 but has now been arbitarily changed to 17/2.This offer is still being detailed by OzBargain as expiring on 28/2 which was my clear recollection when using the promotion.
Has anyone else experienced this which in my opinion amounts to misleading advertising.

Exceptional Service, Ethan (Darra Qld Outlet)

Today (Dec 1st) I received exceptional customer interaction and service from a sales assistant at Darra Liquorland by the name of Ethan. Ethan is always quick with a warm greeting, a joke and always has my taste in wine in hand. I sincerely trust his management understands he is very important and valuable to Liquorland's sales service team.

Why is cask wine unavailable till 4

This morning I did my grocery shopping and stopped at liquorland to buy a cask wine as I was leaving t h e centre , I was told that I was unable to buy cask wine till after 4 o'clock! I find this very inconvenient, I am retired and buy that as it works out cheaper and lasts a long time, why why are we doing this people who abuse alcohol will find a way around this and the rest of us have to be very inconvenienced by the whole stupid thing

Express Delivery a no show - with zero care from the company

Ordered for express delivery. When it hadn't arrived and we hadn't received a notification of dispatch I contacted the online number. Informed that the local store had now closed. I asked why they didn't contact me to say there would be no delivery. No answer. I asked what happens now and was told tha they would deliver it sometime tomorrow. When I said no one would be home which is why it was arranged for today the care factor was zero. I said I will pick it up tomorrow. Told that an email would be sent about this. Guess what - no email. First time I have used Liquorland and definitely last time. There was no customer care. No customer contact. They shouldn't offer Express if they have no plan on doing it. Sorry but your customers time is just as important as yours.

Click and Collect 60% fail rate.

Tonight is the fifth time I tried to use Coles Liquorland Click and Collect. This is the third time they have failed.
I paid with PayPal linked to a Coles credit card. PayPal sent me a Coles transaction number 66048706.
Nothing on the Cole side of the transaction work other than taking my money.

After waiting an hour for an SMS (supposed to be within 30 minutes) I figured they had failed again.
I went to the pickup location Mt Colah Sydney. The guy behind the counter spent about 20 minutes on the phone (mostly on hold) and said the transaction had failed and they would do a refund.
The only thing he could offer was to sell me a unit at full price and was not able to give me the discounted Click and Collect price.
So I bought one unit with the same COLES CREDIT CARD that they were not able to do the transaction on.
I also made over $150 worth of purchases on that card this evening at Aldi, Bunnings and McDonalds no problem.

Online ordering service is appalling

I blame myself for keep going back but, for the third consecutive time, Liquorland failed to deliver my online order within the 60 minute window advertised under their "express delivery option". When I rang to follow up, I was told that the relevant branch (Elsternwick, Victoria) had "received the order, but had not read it"! I was told that I would get a delivery notification within 20 minutes, and a $10 credit voucher. Neither of those things happened, so I ended up cancelling the order. I'll be looking for another seller in future.

Online delivery states 1 hour free delivery for orders over $100. Our order was packed at 10am and at 230pm we were advised an Uber was on the way with our order. Two cancelled Ubers later, we were advised to call vintage Cellars directly as the delivery was cancelled. We called vintage cellars and they had CANCELLED our WHOLE order and turned the Uber away as the Uber hadn’t showed up within the hour. We weren’t advised and had to chase a refund. Worst customer service EVER!

Gobsmacked

I was asked at counter when paying if I wanted to purchase any of these: (discounted items in front of me). I replied "No especially day before payday" to which he replied "well you can't be doing too badly if you're buying booze". What the hell.

liquorland.com.au please steer well clear…

My advice would be to steer well clear of liquorland.com.au should you wish to either click and collect or buy alcohol online. The clunky website throws up continual errors. There is no point screen shotting the problem because, when contacted they recant and reneg at every opportunity. They refuse to allow you to escalate complaints and make no effort to honour their offers. Overall a very disreputable company with unethical behaviour who makes no effort to stand by deals made in good faith despite unequivocal evidence. The attachments show the difference in price 12 hours apart, which they refuse to stand by despite the errors being their fault.

My order was supposed to be delivered…

My order was supposed to be delivered promptly. Mesage received that the Driver (Uber) said no-one was home. Wrong. Rang again said that they would send another driver. Nil result. Rang next day and was told it could not be delivered as there was no stock. No message from Liquorland - left hanging wondering how such a huge company could fail so miserably on the simplest of business transaction.

Ordered Online Once But Will Never Again

I ordered over $135.00 worth of Liquor via the online store on 15/6/2025 on a click and collect basis from the Sherwood Store.On the website it said the store was open til 7.pm.Outside of the store the trading hours are only till 5-pm. This was the first red flag. On the 16/6, I got a text from Liquorland saying Sherwood could not fill my order (despite the website saying they could - 2nd Red flag) and my order would now be filled by "Liquorland Indooroopilly". I contacted them asking about my order and they knew nothing about about it. (3rd Red flag). I said to the manager that i was going away for three days and i would be back to pick it up.In that time i received two reminder texts from Liquorland to say my order was ready to pick up now at Liquorland Indooroopilly. I went there on 19/6 and the manager said he didn't have an order for me at all but remembered me asking about one. I showed him the reminder texts i was getting despite there being no orders - 4th Red Flag. The manager rang the original store Sherwood where the order started at and they knew nothing about the order. I relayed this information to his colleague in case he knew something about it and all he could do for me as I was speaking to him was yawn which I found not to be very empathetic. The Senior manager however rang the online service department and they suggested he try calling 'Vintage Cellars' at Indooroopilly. This company has recently been taken over by Liquorland. My order had been sitting at Vintage Cellars all the time but the online store had been sending and reminding me to go to Liquorland Indooroopilly! I will never use this website again and not buy from liquorland on principal and I encourage others to do the same.

Since re branding the Jindalee store…

Since re branding the Jindalee store has increased prices. I used to buy 6 Hardy's Bin 161 for $36.00. Now it is 6 for $40.00!!! That's more than a 10% increase!! Do you really expect your customers to pay for your re branding? I'll shop at Dan Murphy from now on
