Installing a wifi controller
Really good company having used them before. The reason I have have only given four stars is due to the new ‘wifi’ heating controller I ordered to upgrade my system to work with Google home. The fixing screws supplied did not fit the recess on the back of the controller and were not a British back box standard. This should be a ‘BA’ thread and not a metric thread. This required the controller being dismantled to get it to fit.

Thank you for your time writing this review, this is much appreciated. I can only sincerely apologise for any inconvenience or delay caused to your project. This is the first feedback i have seen regarding the fixing screws and is something i will certain ly look into.
I am unsure what has happened with this order, as all screws are supplied from the manufacturer to accommodate all types of back boxes. We have only recently fitted 3 of these thermostats, fitted to plaster board walls in our showroom using the screws supplied with no issues at all.
Again, please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience and for your constructive feedback which is vital to us.

No empathy
We had brought some underfloor heating mats to install in the flat.
Due to various reasons and unforeseen circumstances it took us a few months before we could finally get them installed.
Eventually we tried to get them installed with a qualified installer. However he apparently didn’t follow the instructions - we of course didn’t know this at the time. He told us the matts were faulty and that’s why it wasn’t working. So we returned the matts in hope of a refund or an exchange.
We were later told by livingheat that the matts were returned in an unsellable condition and therefore we would not be receiving anything back.
This came as a complete shock. As someone who has worked in retail, I understand the frustrations of being on both sides of the counter. I would therefore never knowingly return an item in a terrible state nor would I deny the customer an ounce of empathy. I was treat clients with kindness because I do not know what their circumstances are.
I do no assume the worst in them. I did not appreciate the attitude with which I was faced at livingheat. There was no empathy just a blame game.
They may not have wanted to refund 100%, but a small percentage hek even a discount on future purchases would have shown they cared. It would have been the decent thing to do. Instead we got the same responses basically telling us it’s our loss.
Don’t think I’ll be using these guys again and will certainly tell my friends and family to avoid. Being treated with kindness is worth the extra pennies.

Good Afternoon Hajera,
We are sorry you feel this way, as customer service is always a priority to us. With personal communication made with you, there was certainly empathy and consideration to you as the customer from my end.
Like i mentioned to you in my email yesterday, there is clear evidence the mat has been damaged by your installer. In fact, in my 8 years with the company, i have never seen a mat returned to us in a worst state. Like i mentioned in my email, i have many photos to prove this statement.
It was never suggested at any stage in my communication with you that you, that we were blaming you or had no sympathy to this issue. In this instance we do feel that your installer has let you down and was explained in writing to you.
The reason for your email to us yesterday, was to chase your return and chase up a refund. My understanding was the mat was returned by your installer the end of last year, with many emails and chats made through the web site to him also explaining why the refund could not be issued. Again, we are sorry it has come to this, but the simple fact is the mat has clearly been damaged upon install, with your installer being very dishonest to you. Like i said, i am more than happy to provide evidence of how the mat was received.
Lastly, it was never discussed regarding replacements or discounts on future purchases. As you can see from our feedback, as a company we will always try to go above and beyond for our customers. This is something we would obviously be happy to look at if of interest and to try to recoup some of your costs for this unfortunate scenario. This is in no way accepting we are in the wrong, this is simply as a goodwill and because by the sounds of it the installer is accepting no responsibility or answering your calls.
