Jake and Jack Martin have been excellent and even though I was facing a lengthy ban and fine along with a community order, because of their communication with the police, I received a no further action. I was being prosecuted for drug driving and contacted MAJ Law, who acted quickly and guided me through everything I needed to know. John was excellent at responding to my queries and always took the time to explain things in detail. My case was eventually discontinued by the CPS, which was a great outcome and I’m very pleased with that.
However, I do feel disappointed that I paid £3,000 for an advocate to attend a trial that never happened because the case was dropped the day before. I understand the terms, but it feels unfair that no refund or compromise was offered given that no advocacy was required. A partial refund would have been reasonable and fair in these circumstance and would reflect good customer care.

Overall, the service was professional and the result was positive, but I believe the firm should review its refund policy for situations like this. Flexibility in exceptional circumstances would go a long way in maintaining client trust and satisfaction.

Avoid at all costs!! They do not help or advise properly! I had a drug driving conviction and did not provide a sample of bloods, for almost 6-7 months I was chasing these guys asking what is happening, the response was we have contacted the CPS to request the evidence submitted on the case, they said no evidence has been submitted so we will not submit any evidence until they do, after my court hearing and then having a trial date 6 months later with no medical report been made even though I paid for the medical In June, the barrister has advised to plead guilty due to lack of evidence, lost my whole case and now been convicted with a ban and fine, gave these guys £7500+ and put in a worse position, out of work, can’t see my kids properly, absolutely mentally stressing and now I look back after a few days, why as am experienced solicitor would you advise a client to wait for evidence to be submitted when your facing a failure to provide charge, you should have your defence ready regardless of what evidence the police have submitted you have been charged with a FTP!!!, absolutely awful service. Do not recommend to use!

Your response is inaccurate, I was advised to plead guilty as I had no defence and I would lose any credit in my favour therefore I was left feeling pressured into pleading guilty. Cost was not an issue for me, the attitude by the barrister was to simply settle, push a defence as we have no defence other than me giving a cross examination which was advised would not be enough, if we had a defence beforehand we would not have been in this situation. This could have avoided any extra cost, but failing to provide adequate and a strong defence I was pressured into pleading guilty.

I highly recommend M.A.J law . Anyone facing a drug driving charge , these are the firm to use . They support you all the way through. We got a result no -one was expecting . Big thanks to John Fairhurst who represented was brilliant throughout . Also to Connor who took the initially call at the start who didn’t judge and explained the whole process . Phoebe Bradshaw was also brilliant .

M.A.J law seem to know alot about what they are doing i had asked them for help with my case and although in the end I didnt end up going with them they know what they are talking about and even though I wasn't going with them one of their solicitors Connor still gave me all the information he could about the case

After looking around multiple Solicitors, I chose MAJ Law based on both reviews and initial consultation,

I spoke to Thomas Wilson (Motoring Law Specialist) in the first instance, and he took his time considering it was a free call and walked me through the process perfectly. Jack Cooper later represented me at my plea hearing. Jack was excellent, he would have been clearly aware I was anxious and he did everything to make me feel comfortable and dealt with anything and everything within his power on the day.

From then on in my defence I was in constant communication with Olivia Ball a Paralegal at MAJ. Olivia was very friendly but also to the point, detailing the reality and also the areas we could contest, as well as being open about the chances and putting the onus and decision on me. She updated me only when necessary.

We ended up getting the result we wanted. As I told Olivia, my review would have been the same regardless, as they did everything they could have done, and there is always going to be a bit of good fortune involved, unfortunately.

With the fixed fee, which not everybody offers, and the clear point of contact, I felt I could speak to Olivia whenever needed. I would highly recommend M.A.J. LAW to anybody reading this.
