The team were always on hand to support me when I needed anything and got me a fantastic outcome! I couldn’t be happier and highly recommend!

I was convicted solely on the basis of a police officer’s testimony of using a mobile phone while driving, despite there being no physical evidence — the phone was stationary on my lap, playing a podcast, and my car is Bluetooth-enabled. I already had six points on my licence and could not risk another six. I hired a solicitor for £3,000, reassured that I had a high chance of winning because there was “no evidence,” or that if I lost, we would succeed on an “exceptional hardship” application.

Unfortunately, in UK law, credible officer testimony alone can be enough for a conviction. I lost both the main case and the exceptional hardship argument in the Magistrates’ Court, leaving me with a £1,650 bill.

I then contacted MajLaw, asking directly if my case was worth pursuing or if I should simply accept the six-month ban. I had what I thought was a productive call with Coleen, who outlined “many ways” we could save my licence. I believed this and paid a further £4,800, expecting a fair chance of success.

Initially told there were “a few options” for appeal, I was eventually steered into appealing only the exceptional hardship decision — presented as my best chance — even though it was the same argument that had already failed.

The day before my Crown Court hearing, a barrister was assigned to my case. He received only half the paperwork, had no time to prepare, and still put me in the witness box for cross-examination before the judge. That was my entire defence. Unsurprisingly, the appeal failed — dismissed as having “no strong evidence” for exceptional hardship, regardless of the fact that losing my licence would cut my income in half and affect those who rely on me overseas.

My only “positive” outcome was that my barrister saved me £350 in post-conviction court fees. Otherwise, I was put in the same losing position as in the Magistrates’ Court, with no stronger case and no realistic chance — something I now realise my solicitors must have known long before taking my money.

In my honest opinion, MajLaw were more interested in my money than my outcome. There was no compassion, no accountability, and no regret — only a client left with nothing to show for the equivalent of three months’ salary spent. Think twice before trusting the highly vocal MajLaw solicitors you see on YouTube. You might be better off representing yourself — at least you’d save thousands of pounds.

I was charged with failing to provide . I contacted maj law . And was told I had a good defence. As I suffered from severe copd. I spoke to Conner firstly that told me and he advised me to go to court and plead not guilty. Which at this point I decided to get them as my legal representation. . He was great at my first hearing and represented me . And defending me to all he could like it was his license on the line. . I was advise to pay for a specialist to defend my case . Which I did. My first court date was April which was adjourned due to the specialist not being to attend. The second court date was moved again. An it was very stressful as lose my license would have been me losing my job and no income. Rebecca was amazing. She work hours commuting with the cps. And asked how they wanted to proceed. And keeping me informed all the way with what was happening. Today I got the great news the that the case was dismissed. So I keep my license. Thanks to there great work and can’t thank the enough. From start to finish a massive 10/10 for service. My main contact for most of the time they looked after me was Osian Roberts. He always replied to my emails and calls back in quick time. More importantly the info given to me was always very reassuring and honest. With there guidance and help a 6 month ban was thrown out pre trial which has been the best news of 2025!! I cannot recommend this firm enough, genuinely wouldn't trust anyone else god forbid this happens again!

On the 31st of October 2024 was charged with a twoc, driving whilst disqualified while I was on a suspended sentence, failing to stop and failing to provide a specimen of breath, I was advised by Connor to plead not guilty which I did, the trial was set for 15/07/2025 went to court today thinking I would receive a jail sentence, so went in by myself, and to my amazement all the charges were dropped, because the prosecution failed to provide me with the paperwork and CCTV footages when asked to do so by the judge, the prosecution was told that because they didn't provide this by 18/12/2024 when asked to do so, then can't use that evidence 😁
In relation to the other charges these were dismissed from court.

Maj law delt with my case with the upmost professionalism. James was amazing in court, could not of asked for a better solicitor. Osian was my case handler and was very helpful and freindly. I would recommend MAJ Law to all. Very fare, kept me at ease, well worth the money. I cannot thank them enough for the hard work and brilliant result at the end.

Will never use again. Based on my experience and from my perspective:

The service I received was totally poor. I was oversold on what they said they would do - lots of false promises. I could have done a better job myself. Initially, they contacted me and seemed very professional and knowledgeable - this was the bait. After the initial payment, this started to change. I ended up paying a lot more than I was initially told. For a court session that was adjourned, they charged me £3k even though they knew before the day that the session would be adjourned. In the end, the lawyer that they sent to represent me totally underperformed. She argued with me, raising her voice at me, and insisted that I just plead guilty and ignore special circumstances which I had. She said the judge would not uphold it. I insisted and in the end, the judge gave me an opportunity to present my witness re the special circumstances. Also, she didn’t let the court know why I needed my licence even though a court usher/clerk told her to do this as it would help my case. In hindsight, I should have used another firm or represented myself. In that case, I would have saved myself over £13k and ended up with a better outcome. I could go on and on but a word is enough for the wise. Furthermore, their lawyers always arrived late to meet me, in preparation for the court session. I wish I could have given this firm no star as 1 star is too good a service when compared with the service they provided. Take heed and avoid!

My advice to anyone reading this review would be this: do not be misled. Ensure you read the negative reviews. Is there a common theme with these negative reviews? Then do not be fooled!!!

M.A.J law were great in my court case. Phoebe was very thorough in helping me with my Exceptional hardship letter and my barrister on the court day Ashley was also great getting me through the day.

Great service and advice from MAJ Law, Conor and the Barrister that represented me at court, coming away with a best case scenario. Highly recommended.
