I would not recommend this company
I would not recommend this company.
I used them in JUNE 2024 I wanted a barrel sent to a school in GHANA.
I was charge £227 for a 290L barrel and delivery service. Due to the barrel not being collected on the 3rd June I was charged an additional £45 for missed collection. Which I think should of been wavered but I did mae the payment on June 4th.
The door to door sea shipments are meant to be 5-8 weeks.
My pick up was 13th June 2024 and it was delivered early September 2024.
As a first time user of this type of delivery service when the delivery not to go smoothly it was disappointing. At the beginning I thought I had been scammed because the delivery was so late and I kept getting up dates on different places the barrel was and none of the emails was clear to me. I even phone the company and they was very unhelpful and just told me to wait and not to worry. I obviously did worry and wrote a review giving my thoughts at the time thinking I was being scammed.

Unfortunately, since 7th August, the port authorities have been unable to locate our container and as a result, we have been unable to proceed with customs clearance.
I had around 4 different update from the company and they did try to keep me informed.
When the item was delivered tje company asked me to write a message on trustpilot which I did but because I used their link it came up as the name of the person who had made the payment to the company which was Ms Clarke. My surname is Asante-Cummins but go by Cummins. I did a 1 star view in that name but this morning this company made me aware that the name on trustpilot was incorrect so I deleted the comments and downloaded the app so that I can correct my mistake.
I still rate this company as 1 star and I feel due to the stress this company is causing me I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. This is a 1 star company in my eyes this is only my opinion and not fact.
I give it 1 star because this company took at least 3 weeks extra compared to the recommend latest delivery timings. The staff didn't make me feel like my worries was valued so made me feel like I was being scammed.
So there is no confusion

The service we received this time was unacceptable
The service we received this time was abysmal. I decided to send a barrel ahead of my trip, it was collected at the beginning of June I wasn’t invoiced till the 10th which meant the shipment wasnt dispatched till then. The barrel contained not
only food items but also items that would be required while my family were in Ghana. We were informed of the arrival date which was the 7/08/24 a further email we received was that on arrival to tema the container was not taken off the ship. On investigation we were made aware that some companies delay paying the port fees which leads to further delays. The barrel wasn’t received till September at which point we had returned to the UK after having to spend extra money to repurchase food items etc for the stay in Ghana. The communication from the shipping company was nom existent unless I called and enquired. I would not recommend the use of this company neither will I be using their services again.

This review is factually inaccurate and does not reflect the true turn of events. Proof of evidence of payment of local handling charges and import duty have been sent to the reviewer.
Moreover, as a freight forwarder, we are not responsible for discharging containers off vessels at the port of arrival hence any negligence on the part of port authorities in carrying out their duties cannot be pinned to us.
We have challenged the reviewer to come back and provide a factual review of the turn of events, based on the facts of the matter as presented to him via email.

i have tried more than a few shipping companies over last few years and Manc Global come out tops.. great website and responsive and polite on the phone, all barrels i send arrived on time and the guys who delivered with the truck very helpful even tho the destination was very remote.. my people in Ghana were very happy.. thanks Manc Global
