Terrible customer service, e-mails are unprofessional, and communication is essentially nonexistent
One email I received after switching workers comp carriers was cut half down the message. It provided me with a login and then a massive jpeg within the email that I'm supposed to do the final audit on. I printed the document. No way in hell I could write that small. I call them only to find out it's all under review and I remembered I had already done the audit paperwork. They sent me an urgent e-mail to the company because of Markels negligence.

Spoke to both Molly and Patrick today to take out a policy. They were both quick,courteous and efficient. It made the taking the policy out so very much simpler and pleasurable compared to my existing policy provider, just how it should be. Thankyou both for your excellent service

Awful company
I'm still waiting for a refund over a month after cancelling my policy. Absolute shambles. I'm just glad I didn't need to make a claim.
Markel Direct are Nothing but thieves
Markel Direct are Nothing but thieves, they have no intention of helping you, when you most need them they will do anything and everything to get out of a claim and leave you stranded without and support. They are a wretched disgusting insurance business, stay well away

The worst insurance company ever are…
The worst insurance company ever in uk the worst one guys do not deal with them dealt with in my life I have my own company limited company LA services nationwide Limited as my company name I had my Diggger and trailer and stolen outside my mum‘s driveway. Had a secure gates and a fencing. Also I had four locks on a trailer plus a hitch lock also there is a witnesses already took the witness statement and came round with some excuses not to pay me now I’m out of work. I’ll have to give up a lot of jobs this year because of my Digger got cluster trailer losing £20,000 and now it looks like I’m gonna retire early they customer services are absolutely appalling MARKEL absolutely appalling they are rude. They never get back to you. You’re holding a phone for about an hour each day giving me excuses not to pay me. I’m taking legal action against them because I have a good solid evidence. But guys, I’m warning you now. Do not go with this company if you want headache and stress come to MARKEL what a load of crap
PS I’ve noticed a lot of people on the review point saying nice and easy and simple. It is now when you take out the insurance it’s all nice and easy but when you make a claim you will know what you’re dealing with. It’s not an insurance company. It’s a robbery company daylight robbery so guys stay away from this insurance company. Go somewhere else or you going regret it? Like I did? It was so nice and easy when I took out the Insurance all lovely talk and now hard talk they don’t wanna help you.
This is not just once but several times…
This is not just once but several times I have had an issue with Markel. The claims phone number provided in my policy document is out of order. I habe also been told that the terms of my insurance have been changed AFTER I paid my premium & was sent my policy document.
I lodged several complaints but they were not dealt with.

Honestly? It was simple; the price seemed fair, the direct debit worked, the cover seems good.. there's not too many intrusive emails. I'm a happy fella ( at least in this aspect of my life).

Very helpful and showed interest that they wanted our business! Charles , who I dealt with did all this! The cost was a quarter of the money , which we paid to another insurer , last year! As we are a small charity
