House conveyance

There were some minor problems and some slightly more significant whilst selling a house using Martin Kaye for the conveyance but Nikki Babooram was very helpful, informative and friendly, getting over a particular problem quickly and for a very reasonable price. Neelam and Emma deserve a mention as well.

Nikki and Neelam

We recently used Nikki and Neelam for both selling and buying a property. The process wasn’t always straightforward, but throughout, they were responsive—whenever we called, either Nikki or Neelam would pick up, which made communication easy and efficient.

Things got particularly tense on completion day when everything felt up in the air, but Nikki really stepped up and pushed everything through to exchange and completion. Her persistence made all the difference when it mattered most.

Even after completion, when we entered the property we had purchased and found that the seller had left a significant amount behind, Nikki continued to support us. She stayed in contact with the seller’s solicitor and arranged for a skip to be provided at no cost to us, which we really appreciated.

Thank you both for all your help. We truly appreciate your hard work and dedication, and we would definitely recommend Nikki and Neelam to anyone looking to buy or sell a property.

Title:a gagging agreement served by them

Title:
I was offered a second gagging agreement while homeless by their lawyer Timothy Green

Review:
I was a tenant in a flat owned by Bassam Frem, a senior partner at a global firm. After reporting a serious rat infestation that left me homeless and emotionally distressed, I was sent a legal agreement — asking me to stay silent in exchange for a small settlement.

When I refused, and began posting my experience publicly, I was offered another gagging agreement via this legal firm. This happened while I was still homeless, still displaced, and after I had gone public with my story.

I feel this was unethical, insensitive, and an attempt to intimidate a vulnerable woman from speaking up. I have all evidence, and I’ve posted parts of the story online.

I am an NHS doctor. I was not asking for revenge — I was asking for accountability. I was met with paperwork. I won’t be silenced.

Sending me a gagging agreement while I am homeless and vulnerable as a frontline NHS doctor!

I and my poor cat were intoxicated in the flat owned by the landlord who hired this legal firm.

With regard to this particular “review” , the author has never been a client of this firm at any time. Her review is unjustified, submitted we believe in bad faith and in response to correspondence, sent to her upon behalf of our client who is the service user, which the reviewer found unpalatable. The review is unfounded, submitted by a non-client and should be disregarded.

Staff lacking in customer care

I was recommended Matin Kaye as conveyance solicitors by my broker and had a very bad experience with a member of their staff, this review is based on staff being bad at their job and not the company.
Staff was moody and unpolite on the phone in both occasion we spoke and this is unacceptable, specially when you are paying for a service and not getting for free. Staff in any company must know and acknowledge they are dealing with members of pubic and no one is same as the other. Martin Kay, get members of your team to do a customer care course and improve their skills.

Worst solicitor to handle your case! I hardly write reviews. However, this could help you with your decision to use their service. We used their service because the previous buyer had paperwork with them, thinking this could expedite the process. They were also recommended by the estate agent. I truly regret using their service.

Not only did they provide us with incorrect information, but they also failed to advise or inform us of important preparations we needed to make. The worst part was that they delayed our completion date and charged us extra for late completion fees and interest payable due to their incompetence.

Avoid this solicitor if you want a an honest solicitor to deal with smooth and efficient process.

Martin Kaye professionalism

I have used Martin Kaye on many occasions over the last twelve years to manage the conveyancing on both purchases and sales of properties.

I would not use any other firm to handle my property affairs and have found Michelle Poulton and her team, Craig Standen in recent transactions, to be professional in every respect.

Absolutely Atrocious Service

If I could have given no stars I would have. Selling your house is at best costly, nerve racking and an uncertain process. The last thing you need is an unprofessional and incompetent Law Firm helping to sell your most important asset, that you and your Family possess. They say they will try to answer your phone calls in “24hrs”! They don’t. They also say they will try to answer “correspondence” in 5 working days! They don’t. When dealing with your buyers ( days is an age. In the 12 months that they represented my Family I spoke to a legally qualified person at most approximately 3 times. Most of the time my questions and concerns were dealt with by the PA. If your house doesn’t sell you have better have read the small print in terms and conditions because you will have to pay 40-60% fees. I asked for a link to their website as there are reviews on it however they “Control the reviews in house”! If you’re a good Firm you don’t need to control your reviews. In essence avoid Martin Kaye like the plaque as in my opinion and experience, they are not worth gambling your hard earned cash, or children’s inheritance on their unprofessional and lacklustre performance.

Professional, proactive, responsive

We were first time buyers and used Martin Kaye LLP for the conveyancing on our property purchase. We were extremely impressed by the efficiency and professionalism of the service we received.
