Mathacademy Avis 

I am learning nothing. I am a senior in high school, and I enjoy learning math. However, this program is teaching me nothing. It feels like I am just checking a box. Their XP system is really bad. I'll spend hours doing math and get virtually nowhere. It will let me do the stuff I already know, but when I don't know something it will kick me off the lesson and I will never understand the topic I keep missing. Overall, the program just does not seem like it had any thought put into it.

It wasn't for me, but I never had any problems with their service. I even came back after more than a year off and signed up, remembered/experienced why it wasn't great for me, and cancelled. It didn't immediately refund me like I kind of hoped (I realized afterward that the 30 day thing is probably for new accounts), but when I reached out to them earlier today they refunded me a few hours later. They've been very responsive and reasonable. I wish them the best.

Do NOT give them your credit card number. My son was using Mathacademy at school. I didn't hate the program, but when summer came we switched to a personal account so that he could finish the course. Something went wrong with the switch and he was unable to work on the course at all. It showed us his course and where he was at in it, but would not let him click on any future lessons to complete and move on. I reached out to them for technical support and did not receive a response. So then I reached out to cancel and asked for a refund as he was not able to use what we paid for. Still no response. They have continued to charge me every month for three months. Since they have not responded to any of my emails and they don't have a phone number to call, I have to dispute the charges with my card and now cancel the card and get a new one. Buyer Beware!!!

Math academy sucks the questions are stupid and confusing every time I use it it kills every bit of joy I woke up with

I am a junior in high school and I absolutely HATE this app. Not only does it give you VERY few chances to actually understand a concept before it flat out blocks you out of that section for the day, but it TAKES AWAY POINTS??? This website is awful, I literally feel my self esteem drop every damn time I get on. DO NOT LER YOUR KIDS USE IT.

I don't know if they tried to teach me math or test my patience. At first I liked it especially the assessment which was a bit too long for my taste but showed me that they really try. After 6 months is pretty much stopped using it cause the ui is horrible loading times are super annoying and the questions are sometimes so nerve wreckingingly stupid and or confusing that the drive to learn smth just plummets within a few weeks. The worst part: you lock in on an answer and try to hit the submit button and if you're off a bit and misclicked a bit your answer isn't selected anymore, why on earth would you like to have that happen?
I'm ashamed i sticked with it for more than 3 month's man its so overpriced for what it is at the moment. Best of luck for your future development

An impressive platform: I love that Its pedagogy is grounded in cognitive-science techniques: mastery-learning, spaced repetition, interleaving of topics, layering, and active problem-solving.
On the down side, it places more emphasis on problem-solving practice than on conceptual understanding.

This is a great resource for learning mathematics on your own and will efficiently enable you to start learning university math pretty quickly. My main issue is that the website seems to slow down and need refreshing quite often.
