After filling out a lengthy request form on the MBE website and including every detail under the sun about an auction collection I needed, my information was passed to the York branch, who then informed me that the system had sent my lead to them incorrectly and that it should have gone to a different store.

They then told me that they had updated my request with the other branches information, which I later found out was not true and when I asked if they could at least forward my request to the other branch so that the other branch could see all of the details provided on the form originally, they flat out refused and said I could fill out the form again - despite me having no guarantee it would go to the right branch this time given the first form didn’t. But they flat out refused to provide any assistance in passing my lead off to the other branch.

It’s clear they view themselves as a standalone business with no affiliation to any other branches despite being in a network of branches. Very much the “ I don’t care about the customer if they’re not buying something from me right now” type of customer service and mindset you would see from franchises in 1995. It makes not only the York location look bad but MBE as a whole.
