Very professional and efficient service received. They made our move so simple and stress-free. We barely had to lift a finger on moving day! All our belongings were safely transported to our new home and delivered to the relevant rooms, making unpacking easy! Thanks especially to the two men who did our move, they were very friendly and professional. Highly recommend.

Mew the Movers were wonderful – extremely hard-working, polite and in constant good humour in spite of a difficult situation with narrow, busy road. They even whipped the front door off to accommodate large items, and smoothly plumbed the washing machine in without us noticing! Absolutely brilliant! Moved from IOW to Hampshire and the team at Mews were brilliant. Punctual, friendly, professional and worked really hard. Loaded and unloaded a 4 bed house in approx. 4 hrs each end. Nothing was too much trouble. Took good care of everything - Thank you. Would definitely recommend their services.

Just wanted to say a huge enormous thank you for all you did to make our move from Isle of Wight to North Devon as easy as possible. 4 times we had to change the date and never a hint of us being a nuisance. John Norma and the crew were just amazing, careful, speedy, not a moan or groan (that we heard anyway!)....."off went the van with me 'ome packed in it!"..........no linnets but we "followed on" with small brown dog,,,,(look up you music hall songs!) Next day, just as we said we thought they might be about arriving here, as if my magic there was the lorry. Everything came out speedily and was carried to every room and the shed and garden, again nothing too much trouble. Thank you all, from Helen, John and crazy Maisie

Brilliant service. The team were so helpful, impeccable on with their timings and very reliable. They helped my parents relocate from the north west to the IOW after 40 years of living in the same house. Couldn't have done it without their help, a good laugh too. I highly recommend. Packaged the items ourselves and old sheets were put over the furniture to somewhat protect them.

We were invited to write a review about our recent experience with Mew the Movers on Trustpilot. However, as we realised our review would negatively impact on them we wrote to Mew providing an opportunity of right to respond over our concerns before doing so but unfortunately they chose not to provide any response.

The following issues were encountered during our planned move from the Isle of Wight to Yorkshire - as we tried to keep out of their way to let them get on, the full extent was not evident until after they left:

* The removal lorry arrived on the wrong day, fortunately the day before. No apologies or follow-up courtesy call from them so it was still left to us to confirm they would definitely be coming on the actual removal day.
* There was a degree of carelessness in the actual move with doors and walls being scuffed at both addresses.
* Our fridge-freezer was dropped and we later found scratches and small dents on it.
* An expensive mattress must have been dragged on it’s corner as it was dirty and scuffed. This and another mattress were covered in blanket shedding and dust.
* Many clearly marked boxes and items were frustratingly left in the wrong rooms, including items marked for the garage left in a bedroom. This took us some effort to put right and this is when we realised a number of items had been marked or scuffed.
* When we arrived late in the evening at our new home the removal lorry was already outside the house. The two removal men were staying overnight in the back of the lorry with all our stuff around them. They wanted to make an early start the next morning and indeed arrived on our doorstep at 06:45.

Although no individual issue was sufficient in itself to write a negative review, the accumulative effect made for a very disappointing experience. We have used several removal companies over the years and thus know what to expect. In this instance, the standard of service was below what we have previously received. For this reason we would not be able to recommend Mew to other people.

Update following Mew’s reply:
This is not a very professional response for customers with a clear genuine cause for concern and your suggestion of our motivation is insulting and untrue. Even a bland direct apology when given the opportunity would have prevented our review.

Overall, we were pleased with this company who carried out our removal. The fellas were friendly and polite and worked very hard indeed. We were happy with the price we paid. Our only gripes were that the destination address wasn't investigated properly for access, (although the fellas pulled out all the stops and ensured our belongings were moved) and unfortunately we found them a little unprofessional with the handling of our belongings. Thorough care and protection of items is expected so that damage does not occur, and this was upsetting. However, the bottom line is that the job was done on time at a reasonable price.

We were really happy with the service that the team gave us. They were on time, got the job done quickly and were friendly and professional. Would recommend and use the service again.

Mew the Movers managed to provide us with a full removals and overnight storage service from mainland to our new property at 2 days notice from contact with onward collection and full offload. Friendly, fast and efficient crew with a great manager made this stressful period much easier. Glad to find all my belongings arrived in one piece and despite adverse weather on day two - not one dirty carpet!
