Cannot be contacted
I ordered some Nikon lens caps but the delivery a few days later was incomplete. Trying to contact them is impossible. They don't answer the phone, don't respond to emails, facebook or anything! Must now contact my credit card company to resolve. Not sure how they manage to stay in business with non existent customer service. Best avoided.

If it's too good to be true then walk away.
I ordered a Pentax lens 3 weeks ago and got an email next day to say it was ready for dispatch.Ten days later after 2 emails from me they say I owe more postage as the postage I paid was not enough.I paid another£8 postage and they again said it was ready for dispatch.Still no sign and I emailed again, they say they have no address for me despite paying with PayPal,I sent them my address, copy of my PayPal account and even then they ask me for my address. The guy I was dealing with has very poor English.I contacted PayPal on Monday and they refunded me immediately, lucky for me I paid with PayPal.
take the money - no goods
ordered lens advertised in stock. They emailed me saying it was out of stock and offered refund. I asked for refund. Then nothing. 4 emails, FB and calls. It's a nightmare. Do yourself a favour, pay an extra tenner and get it from elsewhere
Easy ordering and paying with PayPal
Seriously. This is a great site. No sarcasm.
Great Service
Purchased a pair of binoculars at great price and was very impressed with the service. Answered questions by phone & delivered very quickly.
Good experience of direct sales business with no friction
I don't give five stars because I haven't bought from Microglobe online, so can't give a global recommendation. Also I don't like throwing around the term 'Excellent' on the basis of a relatively small number of transactions, even though they have all been totally satisfactory:
1. I have bought several binoculars directly from the Microglobe shop in London, 'Try before you buy'*, and have had no bad experiences. I usually check on the phone that the product is in stock before I travel. The staff have always been most helpful. On one occasion where they only had one item of a cheap Chinese-made binocular in stock (I prefer to quality check at least three!), they did a quality check of the binocular themselves in order to save me a possible wasted journey.
2. Also I have had one good experience. This year I purchased a monocular. After the one month period to return a product to the shop for 'Manufacturer fault' had expired, I realised when using the monocular in the field that a manufacturer fault that I had failed to spot at the shop was not trivial but potentially serious. Microglobe inspected the monocular; agreed with me that it was faulty; agreed that the fault was serious; and even though the month had expired, nevertheless offered me the choice of returning the monocular to the manufacturer myself, or leaving it with them to return on my behalf. I chose that they return the monocular on my behalf (It adds persuasive weight to a return that the trade vendor shares the purchaser's view that the product is faulty), and the manufacturer replaced the monocular.
* Some shops don't allow true in-shop 'Try before you buy'. Instead they run a display item for demonstration purposes, but sell you a boxed item from stock. If you object, they say that if the item is faulty, within so many days of purchase you can return it to the shop and exchange it. Not always convenient. And some batches may include further faulty items
AVOID
Took my money on an item they knew was not in stock.
I cancelled the item because they could not give a delivery date and two weeks later they have not refunded my money even though I have made several requests.
I am now contacting my card company for a charge back against microglobe
Clearly a company to avoid.
Ignore this warning at your peril
Good service
I was a little nervous about my purchase, ( Pentax binoculars at a price way below that I could find elsewhere), so having seen one or two iffy reviews, I phoned to confirm that in stock was true, and that the binos were new stock, as they came from the manufacturer. Somewhat re-assured I ordered, but paid by credit card as an added security.
Delivery was as promised, next day, and the binoculars were mint, and exactly as specified. I can find no fault with the service that I have had.
Very prompt deliveries and excellent prices
I was a little concerned about this company having read reviews, but have ordered twice from Microglobe in the last month and turnaround was excellent both times. They were also cheaper than anywhere else I looked both times. Would recommend with no concerns.
Excellent service
Great service, fast delivery, excellent product, really good price, cheaper than eBay. Thanks
Awful Service
Ordered a spotting scope on Monday morning, that was advertised as in stock for next day delivery, 3 days and 3 phone calls later and there's still no sign of them even dispatching my item. Cancelled order and waiting refund
Oh Dear.....
Next day delivery took nine working days, the one piece of correspondence that I did receive looked like it had been typed by a child, they didn't even bother to inform the courier of my special delivery instructions so I had to pick up the parcel from a depot at extra cost to myself. I won't be buying anything else from Microglobe.co.uk
Buy at your own risk!
I bought a pair of Pentax MCII 8x25 binoculars from Italy. Price was good so I searched for informations for some time and then I decided to buy. Price for shopping to Italy was expensive (16 pounds) but that's ok, nevermind.
Until I purchased the binoculars, I wrote several times and always had an answer, not always precise but at least an answer.
Even purchase has been an issue, maybe I should give up; payment form on site works like a disaster, tried with credit card, with PayPal but always had errors. In the end the fast payment with PayPal worked in some way so I purchased binoculars. I received in 5 days as said and well packed, but at this moment reseller already did not answer anymore to my emails asking for tracking number.
So I received the item and tried ad soon as possible. Binoculars have surely a good image and resolution, better than other roof binos in this price range, but I cannot easily use them without blackouts, either with or without glasses. Eye relief surely is not 21 mm as claimed, but probably 16-18. Moreover, eyecups have not steps, so they are only fully extended or not. Also collimation and exit pupils don't seem to be perfect. Every way, they are not good for my needs, evidently.
So I started to try to contact reseller to send them back and have a refund... No way. Tried several times, from e-mail address and from the form on site: no answer. Tried also with another address, just in case there could be any issue with that address: no way, reseller clearly does not want to answer, they have got my money and don't even worry about my requests.
I tried also to ask for help to PayPal, but I had not more joy, so I'm going to jeep the binoculars waiting for a better luck.
Recapitulating: my opinion is pretty good for the binoculars (even if not fully suitable for me), but it's very bad for Microglobe: good prices but very bad communication and little honesty. And to think that they say that Italians are not honest.
Buy at your own risk!
Great Service
I was after a Nissin i40 for a Fuji X system camera, First thing is that most sites did not have this in stock. Microglobe said it was in stock and the price was the best of any on the web. I emailed them to confirm it was in stock and was told it was and that they had 3 in stock. I placed the order and paid by PayPal, however I did not get an acknowledgement. I contacted Microglobe who said an Account had been created but the order not completed. I went back in and completed the order and got notification from PayPal that it had gone through. This was completed in the afternoon. The following morning the item arrived in the post and was well packaged and I have no issues with it. In summary then I cannot fault the service from this company.
Good prices but dishonest practice on prices.
I saw a Tokina lens online on Mircoglobe website for a very decent price, more expensive than from one in China but less than the average in UK.
I thought to go to the shop as it is in London.
In the shop, they charged me £10 more than on website, i didn't say anything as i might have not looked at the price very well on internet. When back home i doubled checked it and they charged me £10 more than online!!
I made a screen print if a proof is ever needed and can also scan the invoice they provided to me.
I wrote an email to ask the company if they could explain me why the extra charges but still i have still been awaiting for an answer since (3 days from now).
The product was even £1 cheaper bought online with delivery included!!! The person i dealt with in the shop said to me "i prefer when customers come in the shop, we can see how they look like and discuss with them...." well i'm not sure i would waste another 2 hours to go back and forth just for a "chat" about the price.
I do not complain about the price, as said it was a really good deal, but it is about honesty, the online advertising of the price was different to the one i was charged in the shop and the company has not bothered to reply to my email, even though they claim to have an excellent customer service for many years.....
BAD PR
I brought a pair of binoculars from the shop and tested it, no problem. Once at home trying again, the left eye piece was broken. The next day, I took back it to the shop and what was I told that I have broken it. So I told the owner of that store do you think that I am that stupid to break it and return it back to the store after travelling for 1 hour by train.
He did end up giving me a new pair of the same model, but was told " NOT TO COME BACK TO THE STORE AND HE WOULDN'T SELL ME ANYTHING AT ALL ".
Do you think, I am going to go back " NO WAYS ".
Excellent
Ordered a lens protector. Came very quickly. All as expected. Very happy.
