Bad support.
Recently purchased a "smart" pet feeder from Mighty Ape. After hours of trying to get this thing onto my network, I contacted Mighty Ape and was told it came from a third party seller so they will contact them and the third party seller (China?) will get in touch in 1-3 business days.
This is not good enough. Mighty Ape still has obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act. If this is not resolved quickly, I will be doing a chargeback on my credit card.
Mighty Ape is not what it used to be. Be very wary when dealing with them!

The general service from mighty ape was average at best. But it’s the 3rd party sellers that are the worst. After my husband purchased a watch for me for Christmas with the wording of which that it would be delivered before Christmas. My watch didn’t arrive till mid January. The watch worked for approximately 2 months then died. After quite a few back and forth emails of how to fix, with Mighty ape. And the watch still remaining broken. I finally managed to forward my email to the original seller this was a company called Digi Legion my in opinion is a bunch of con artist. Eventually at my expense of $40 I sent my watch back, only to be told that they had replaced the screen and will be deducting the $30 from my refund. So we end up $70 out of pocket with no watch. So DO NOT BUY from MIGHTY APE and especially NEVER EVER BUY FROM DIGI LEIGON
Mighty Ape does not care for ACCC and NZCP policies.
Purchased an item for a friend on their Mighty Ape account, which was all fine and well. A trial of their subscription service was added but promptly cancelled after the order was completed. However, I was charged the full 12 months long after that cancellation, which came with a variety of fees as it put my account into arrears.
According to ACCC and NZCP, these fees are the liability of Mighty Ape, however they are not acknowledging responsibility or attempting to resolve the issue. I will be escalating this appropriately.

Mighty Ape are a bunch of devious ratbags. Somehow, they've been charging me $29 a quarter for nothing, and for who knows how long. My bank won't help reversing the charges. Their website says I can't make contact as I've called "out of hours" - it's 1.30pm mid-week. Great business model when you get paid for nothing and can't be tracked down.

Ordered an item that was shipped from Australia. I was not informed at any point of purchase this was the case. It took weeks to arrive and was not the correct part- a pcb board for a camp fridge. When I tried to return I was told I would need to cover shipping to Australia and also a 29% restock fee. Of course none of this was shared with me prior to purchase in any way. Rather than accept responsibility MA and the offshore seller simply kept emailing me with to return items and loose $50+ in the process! Rather the. connect me to a manager so I could discuss how I was not informed of any of these terms nor that it was shipped from overseas the support case was just closed. A shocking customer experience and I’ll not use MA ever again after nearly 20 years. Awful.

If I could give -1 stars I would do it. Very slow shipping. Told me the item will be sent out the same day and guess what, it never happened. First experience is my last experience. Utter disappointment.

If I could I’d put -10 worst customer service this company’s gone down hill, spent 2000 dollars and asked for my money back had very little reply’s and no follow up from Friday last week and won’t give my money back I’ve asked for a update yesterday and still haven’t received heard anything. I’ll never be purchasing from them again..
Used to be good
Used to be good. Now you buy a subscription for cheap delivery and deals… BUT… the deals are worse than shopping elsewhere and the delivery still has cost because it’s most of the stock is overseas at some other store. So basically it’s become and overpriced drop shipper with a scam subscription.
Absolutely abysmal service
Absolutely abysmal service, they have mess in their warehouse, don't know what's been shipped or not - and they hold your money while they're trying to sluggishly figure it out. Stay as far aways from this shop as possible!
I will never use Mighty Ape again
I will never use Mighty Ape again. Delivery was slow, they did not honour their return policy- item was returned immediately and in pristine condition , verified by photos and yet they would not refund because the box had been opened ?. Response to emails was extremely slow and required multiple prompts. I would advise anyone who is considering using Mighty Ape to find another supplier. Absolutely dreadful!

In the past have purchased from Mighty Ape, this time was not a positive experience. Their website seems to navigate you to use their primate service, which I did not want, but somehow I had ok'd this, which if not canceled they will deduct $29 in 14 days. To cancel this is like jumping hoops. The customer service is also boring and non attentive, like so many businesses today, employment of a specific type of individual will only lose money. Front line service is important for any business. They've lost mine.

June 1st, 2025. I had just secured my treasure — Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: Premium Edition — from the digital temple known as Mighty Ape. $159 plus $8 postage. Steep? Perhaps. But for a relic of this magnitude? Worth every coin in my satchel… or so I thought.
Then — disaster struck.
June 2nd: the same game was suddenly on sale for $99. I'd triggered the ancient trap known to adventurers everywhere as The Day-After Discount.
My heart sank like a lost idol into a pit of despair. Snakes, I can handle. This? This was worse.
But like any good adventurer, I didn’t give up. I reached out to the keepers of the temple — Mighty Ape support. “Perhaps,” I thought, “they’ll just laugh and seal the tomb.” But lo and behold, a guardian appeared: Hannah, customer service priestess of the highest order.
To my astonishment, she returned my plea — not with rolling boulders, but with a $60 PayPal refund. Just like that, the lost treasure was partially restored. No whip, no chase scene, no last-second leap. Just good old-fashioned customer care.
Now I know where to shop when I seek rare artefacts — factory sealed, DLC intact, boxed like a sacred relic. Unlike the booby-trapped halls of EB Games or the shadowy markets of Big W, Mighty Ape treats their wares with respect.
So thank you, Hannah. You didn’t just refund a few dollars — you restored faith in the ancient code of honor between buyer and seller.
I’ll be back.
But this time... I’m waiting a day before checkout.

Terrible follow up customer service. No response to emails 1 week later basis request to exchange wrong model number. Don’t shop here.
Last purchase ever from Mighty Ape
I have ordered things from mighty ape over the years and picked up from their Silverdale warehouse. I ordered a dementia clock it arrives by courier. Item is faulty I go to mighty ape and they tell me it came from a third party and I have to get money back from the 3rd party. Although it did seem odd I couldn't collect the item from Silverdale.Yet my bank shows Mighty Ape recieved the payment. I have had many emails from this 3rd party AACS Tech no address of course. I have been told by AACS to return at my cost approx.$23.00 to Union Lucky Returns in Chullora NSW Australia. So not sure who AACS is. I googled Union Lucky Returns and they have been connected with ebay scams. Will never use Mighty Ape again. I thought I was supporting a NZ company. They are not transparent.

Pre-Ordered an item early February 2025. They took funds immediately. First, the order was delayed without adequate explanation, and then the due date came and went with no correspondence whatsoever. Only after I contacted them by email for an update last week did I receive a generic email today informing me that my pre-order would not be fulfilled and has been cancelled. This is a serious failure in customer service and order management. Extremely disappointed with the poor handling of this transaction from start to finish. Mighty Ape used to be my go-to but has seriously gone to the dogs since the inception of the new website and new ownership. Won't be renewing my Prime Ape membership.

Poor customer service. No item even sent and despite multiple emails to query I got absolutely no response. Would definitely not recommend this as a place to purchase anything. They are quick to take your payment but then fail to resolve any issues and just don't bother to reply to emails
