Millets - Hastings Avis 

I needed a new pair of walking trousers and my husband having previously had good service from Phil, decided to give the shop a try for myself. Sophie assisted me with my purchase and was friendly and helpful. She was happy for me to try on several pairs of trousers until I found the ones for me. I will certainly recommend this shop for customer service.

I went to Millets in Hastings looking for a light weight alternative to trainers for traveling about on a holiday to New Zealand.
I was assisted by Phil who really seemed to know his stuff when it came to walking boots. He said he could see my current pair of boots, whilst well worn, showed signs of being a bit small on one foot. He asked to measure them and sure enough I found out I was one size different between feet. He helped me select a new pair of boots that fitted both my requirements and my feet whilst explaining the various alternatives available to me.
I found Phil easy to talk, courteous and helpful. I ultimately bought the Peter Storm boots he recommended and I have no complaints. I would go back again if I required another pair.

Great service - thank you Phil. I returned something bought online and Phil helped me find the perfect replacement in the shop.

I was served by Phil and what a credit he is to this company. From the simplicity of buying socks for walking to the more involved purchase of walking boots, Phil was as knowledgeable as they come. Old style measuring of feet, feeling foot inside boot to walking on ramp to monitor foot movement, all resulted in
perfectly fitting walking boots. If all customers get the same treatment there are a lot of happy feet in the Hastings area.

I went into Millets looking for a rucksack for travelling and was guided by the incredibly knowledgeable Phil! I was shown the proper fitting techniques and Phil was kind enough to share some tips and tricks for travelling. I left with a nice new bag :-)

Harry was extremely helpful and gave good advice to help me choose the best value walking boots for my needs. I’m very pleased with the service, the quality of the boots and the price. Thank you.

Huge shout-out to Phil and Lucy at Millets, Hastings! Genuinely outstanding service. I called Millets in the morning expecting a continued headache trying to source the correct replacement tent pole, instead was super chuffed after chatting with Phil, he explained everything and checked the stock, to my suprise they had what sounded like the pole replacement i need.
I popped down to Millets and was greeted by smiles. Phil and Lucy really took the time to listen, ask the right questions, and make sure I left with exactly the right pole. On top of that, Lucy recommended a fantastic camping location. It's rare to receive customer service that is above and beyond. This was truly that!
Friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about helping customers. This is how retail should be. My tent is now fixed and we are looking forward to our next family camp trip. I highly recommend Millets Hastings and will certainly shop there all the time now. Thanks again Phil and Lucy 🌲⛺️

My first visit was to buy trekking shoes.
I was treated extraordinarily well by Harry. I bought a pair of boots with the proviso that I could return them . I am sorry to say I did just that. After testing the boots out on my walking machine. The lovely fitting boots rubbed on my ankle bone.
Nervously I returned them and Phil made me feel very comfortable about my this. Expressing how important it is for me to have the right footwear and how this is how Millets operate. Again I was given superb help and advice and a new boot was purchased.
I am waiting for my ankle to fully repair before I give these boots a try out. Fingers crossed they will be perfect .

I had been wearing a badly fitting pair of trainers that rubbed my foot. I went to buy a new comfortable pair. I was served by Phil who really couldn't have been more helpful. He measured my feet and went to a great deal of trouble to find the best fit for me. He told me to wear my new trainers indoors for a couple of hours to be sure they fitted. If I was unhappy with them to return them. Excellent customer service. Thank you Phil.

Excellent service from the shop manager in the selection of walking boots for a senior-feet measured and four different types of boots considered all of which expertly presented by the shop manager. Highly recommended.

I had a major problem with my walking boots half way through a Trip. Phil, the manager I think, gave me many options. Carefully measured my feet- and got me walking again. Excellent knowledge and customer service

I went in store to find a rucksack for my upcoming 3 week trip to Malaysia. I was confused about what size to get and was assisted by Phil to help me make my decision. He spoke through the pros and cons of different sized bags and then did a bag fitting with me to find the correct size and fit for my body. Phil made me feel very confident in my choice and I feel like I have left the store with the perfect rucksack for my trip. Phil at Millets in Hastings was so polite, respectful, helpful and honest when j was looking to buy vegan kicking boots. Also gave me some handy tips about tying shoe laces in a less constricted way! Lovely man!
