Modkat delivered the items to the wrong address, twice!!!! They must have a team that manually copy the address I put on the order and somehow, they put down a different address than the one I entered. The customer support email stops responding to emails, despite I have screenshots of how wrong the delivery address on their shipments. the second attempt was comical, they didn't even include the street, they just put the city and zip code. I'm going to dispute the credit card charges, but don't give this company any business. what a terrible customer support department!

Sadly, I cannot say that my experience of ordering through the Modkat US store has been great. My order from 5 weeks ago was "lost in transit". And the replacement shipment now has "errors in some of the shipping information" and still to be shipped.

From my experience to date, this is not a reliable company and I am regretting buying from Modkat US store.

I ordered from the Canadian site and received 2 beautiful cat scratcher lounges within three days. Amazingly fast -- very impressed!
My cats love them!

They used some cut rate shipping service called axleship to shop my package the package never arrived. I tried calling modkat to resolve the issue no one answers the phone I also emailed them several times and got no response.

I ordered two Modkat boxes along with a waste pale, garbage bags and box liners. I received one litter box, one waste pale, bags and liners but no second box. I emailed right away to tell them my order was not complete. I did get a email asking about the problem was but no response to my reply as of yet. I have called two different times and left messages and today I sent photos of what was delivered. Still no response. If it doesn't get resolved I'm going to dispute the charges. I also have an on-line business and would NEVER treat my customers this way. EVER! We always answer phone and email queries and solve problems. You will not stay in business with customer service like this but maybe they don't care as long as the numbers look good.

Update- 11/26/2022 I finally received the other box I ordered! The product is great so I'm changing it to three stars from one. I wish this company would communicate better so their clients don't feel ripped off.

My cat pees high, regularly leaving puddles of pee on the floor.
I didn't choose the top entry box as I felt the regular door would be more similar to what my cat was used to & with time, he may no longer be able to use the top entry litter box.
I had hoped this litter box would be the solution to the problem. Unfortunately I was wrong.
My cat pees on the lid and the urine gets between the box and the liner, resulting in an even bigger mess for me to clean up; despite having more than enough litter in the bottom of the box.
If I don't use the liner, I may as well have saved myself the cost of this litter box and kept the one I was already using.
Aside from the litter box not fixing the problem, it is attractive and durable. Shipping was fast and Modkat responded quickly to my queries.
I forgot to order the holder for the filter.
Don't throw away the box it in which it was shipped to you until you know for sure your purchase actually resolves the problem.

As a designer, I was attracted to the sleek design. As a user, I can't believe how many good reviews this gets for functionality. Cleaning the liner is a complete pain and the top constantly pops out of the slots it is supposed to fit in. Bad design and way too much money. Don't buy.

Non-existent customer service. Ordered a litter box, liners, and accessories but received someone else's order entirely -- the packing slip had their name and address and their items were in the box, not mine.

I've tried reaching out to Modkat three times over a couple of weeks to get the items I'd ordered, but not a word from them since. I've tried their contact form and direct emails to their support email address.

Edit: They finally replied and said they would send the missing items, after my third attempt at contacting them which is when I threatened a credit card dispute and also initially left this review. Whether or not those got the ball rolling, I do not know.

These are the greatest litter boxes ever. Both of my cats love them.

Ordered the Modkat Flip from Modkat.eu site. Litter box arrived from Germany in 3 days. Really sleek design, high quality build, simple operation, both my cats immediately took to it. FINALLY a litterbox that isnt hideous. The Modkat flip tucks neatly in the corner of my bathroom and is barely noticible, the flat foldable cover snaps shut with magnets and flips open for really easy cleaning with the provided scoop that slots securely to either side of the litterbox; allowing the box to fit in your desired location. Really happy with the product! Thank you.

Honestly only writing this because I feel like the other reviews really don't do the company justice. I bought my favorite litter box I've ever owned from Modkat. When I bought my previous box from them, my cat didn't use it because it was a top-entry. I then opted to get the Flip because I learned he preferred that. Customer service and shipping was prompt, even considering the pandemic.

For me the only issue is, there are products I want to buy from them but they are indefinitely out of stock (like the litter mat). That and, I wish the liners weren't made of plastic but something more sustainable.

I had the most unpleasant experience with Modkat. I spent $299.34 for an XL Litter Box and some accompanying accessories/supplies. I only received the accompanying supplies. I never received my litter box. I contacted Modkat several times and for days the assured me I would receive my litter box by end of day. It never came. I continually sent them emails asking someone from customer service call me. Nobody ever once called me. They are extremely unprofessional. Save your money and sanity, DO NOT ORDER FROM MODKAT. Buy a Clever Cat top entry litter box for $40. They are excellent!!!
