I’m a disappointed and upset and feel I was lulled into making a decision that I should have not made. I’m an intelligent person , I think, but it shows what happens when you’re being influenced. I visited the York shop looking for a mother of the groom dress. I’ve had some health issues so was very conscious of my weight and anxious about my appearance, this allowed me to be influenced. The choice was limited for my size, 14, but I did find a lovely dress. But I kept saying it’s too big in the bust. The shop assistant kept saying a bra will fix it, I kept saying I don’t think so, she also said no one will know. She persuaded me, but when I got home and looked into it, a bra will not fix it. You could say it was my own fault for going along with it, but they are the experts. This was only three days ago and the dress has not been warn and is still in the dress case. I have telephoned the shop to be told no refund , exchange only. This cost almost £700. I am happy to try and find another dress but the shop had so few options I’m now worried that I have wasted the money. I do feel stupid but also let down. This should have been a happy event, so I would advise anyone using this shop to be careful, they want your money not your repeated loyalty. The shop assistants seemed nice but now I reflect they did not listen to my concerns and lulled me into making a stupid purchase.

I ordered my daughter a cross bracelet for her holy communion on Sunday and the package came on the Friday and it was beautifully packaged but on opening it, it was not the right order it was beautiful but not what I needed for the day so as you can imagine the panic; so I left a message with the customer service and they were brilliant within 10 mins I had a reply and they couldn’t be more sorry and organised for there warehouse to do an urgent replacement and special Royal Mail delivery with the correct item, it came on the Saturday and was just what I imagined it to be. There customer service was spot on and so was my order and my daughter loved it, I’ll definitely be ordering my children’s jewellery and keepsakes from yourselves. thank you again
Absolutely delighted with this Christening Bracelet. So lovely and well made. Delivery was slow but only due to Black Friday deals and delays by Royal Mail.

A beautiful locket that we bought as a Christening present for our goddaughter. When it first arrived we spotted a tiny issue with the engraving and Caroline was extremely helpful and managed to send us a replacement just in time. Excellent customer service!

What started as an exciting purchase has ended up being a waste of money! The bracelet didn’t even last 3 months without breaking! I emailed customer service to see if they could help but no, they said this has been broken by the customer! This was not the case, nothing had happened for the bracelet to break! I highly recommend that people stay away from this brand! Complete waste of money. Bracelets made by this brand are definitely not durable for children! NEVER order from this brand!

Terrible. I ordered a bracelet. It was a bee that arrived the size of an ant. Customer service was terrible as I think I swore (my apologies) it wasn’t directed at the person but she replied like a robot and hung up on me you should all be ashamed as your quality is misleading. I visited Molly Browns in York for the first time, I was looking for an outfit for a Wedding in October. The shop was full of beautiful garments but I just didn’t really know what I wanted.
However, the very lovely Fiona came to my aid and she couldn’t have been more helpful and listened to all of my concerns.
Needless to say I left the shop with a beautiful outfit that I will be so happy to wear on the day.
If you’re visiting York a visit to Molly Browns is a must, if only to see all of their gorgeous gowns and accessories.
Also of course to say Hi to Fiona.
