What a waste of time and money. Bought what I thought looked like leather/suede slip on clogs but what arrived was cheap plastic rubbish. Return at own cost to china! and that will probably be another cost as I doubt I will get a refund anyway.
Do yourself a favour. Give Montford & Co a miss

Ordered what was described as Long Sleeved Polo, cotton blend, timeless casual elegance. It never turned up in the time and took 3 weeks to arrive and then found it to be appalling in every way. It is 95% polyester shiny sweatshirt material with elasticated cuffs and collars which would be a complete embarrassment to wear. This is a scam company from China pretending to be a British brand and they will not accept returns. Avoid at all cost.

Low quality boots arrived. Although they offer a ‘hassle-free return’ I now have to pay for shipping costs back to China. Offered me a discount rather than a return, but the boots are really not worth it. There is nothing on their website suggesting this was the case. Looked like it was a Dutch company. Will never buy from them again.

Do not use this company under any circumstances. The quality of their products is extremely poor for the price and their return policy is nothing as they say. In fact, they have no returns policy as they do not accept anything back even if it is the incorrect size. The company claims to be in the USA, but in actual fact it is in China.

Boots didn't fit and attempts to return proved pointless - AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Ordered green leather riding boots. Absolutely awful, cheap plastic and nothing like the photograph.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!! Never again!!!

Leather boots were a complete lie on their website and cheap plastic ones arrived .. they justify it with some nonsense about being environmentally friendly and using plastic irrespective of the fact you ‘buy’ their advertised Leather Boot
Reported them to Office of Fair Trading and all relevant bodies ..
also should have reported them for modern day slavery as they seem to only ‘employ’ one member of staff called ‘Oliva’ who works 24 hours a day !!
It’s heartbreaking really imagining all the hard working people being scammed out of their money and I wish there was some way to make others more easily aware !
The company must be raking it in .. which is ironic bearing in mind how many great companies are struggling to stay afloat in the present climate .
Hopefully Karma will catch up but until then this company continues to act both illegally and immorally…

Absolutely terrible customer service. Been waiting over a month for my delivery now. Have contacted their support team multiple times asking for a refund but they just keep responding asking me to contact Royal Mail. Avoid this company.

I did not get my money back from the items I returned and it cost me money to send them back . They said the items were held at customs in China I've emailed the company many times and I've heard nothing back . No help at all

Absolute crooks. I placed an order and paid for a pair of shoes. Fortunately I took a screenshot of the order as I never received any confirmation. I contacted them and they said the shoes were out of stock. They then said that they they were on their way and sent a tracking link which showed them having been delivered in Illinois! Fortunately I paid by PayPal who have reimbursed me. Avoid as they are liars!

I would strongly advise caution before purchasing from this company.

The website displays prices in GBP and lists a Netherlands business location, which gives the clear impression of a UK or EU based retailer. Only after purchase did it become apparent that returns are required to be sent to China at the customer’s expense. This was not transparently disclosed at checkout.

I requested cancellation on the same day the order was placed and was told it had already been dispatched. The later tracking information contradicted that statement.

When I requested a return, I was directed to send the items to China and pay international shipping costs, despite the website presenting an EU presence. Partial refund offers were also made instead of providing a straightforward return process.

In my view, key information about the trading location and return requirements was not made sufficiently clear prior to purchase. I have escalated the matter through my credit card provider.

Like all the other reviews my experience has been the same. I am still battling trying to get my money back but the latest email has been returned as spam. This dreadful company is virtually stealing customers' money.
I will now have to resort to asking my credit card provider for help.
I have reported the 'conpany' to Google but they have dismissed my concerns.
DO NOT BUY FROM MONTFORD AND CO.

The worse company ever. Boots came from China and didn’t arrive on time. Sent them back to the address the company is registered to and now they saying they can’t find my parcel. Paid £50 for them cost me £46 to send them back. Stay away they are a rip off company.

I have put 1 star because 0 is not an option. I so wish I had trust pilot before purchasing. Bought boots for my son for Christmas. Allegedly leather but strong plastic smell. He was happy with them. The tag came out within 6 weeks of use. I emailed, had a response from ‘Olivia’ stating that being outside of 30 day warranty period I was not entitled to refund/replacement. Consumer protection act states ‘ products which become faulty during 0-6 months are entitled to full refund/replacement/repair. ‘ Olivia ‘ says no!
This my second experience of scam websites since Christmas ( now mid Feb) will change my trust in online shopping sites.

I orders boots from pictures online that looked good. The boots that arrived were nothing like the online photos, poor fake approximations. Logos different, soles different, leather plastic. Feel
Thoroughly scammed.. now trying to send back for refund & all has gone quiet.. Feel like an idiot & feel bad that the earths rich resources have been used to create substandard, poor quality goods that will probably be wasted. Moral of this story.. if it looks too good for the price.. it probably isn’t what you’ll receive.. buyer beware 😳

Didn’t feel like giving any form of star! Like everyone else I should have read the reviews. After many delays my dresses arrived in the wrong size and were truly awful. Ghastly material and designs. Like everyone else I had no idea about having to return goods to China. How can a company like this be allowed to operate in the UK and is still advertising. It definitely needs to be shut down.

50 days later, 3 different tracking apps, and countless AI responses that offered ZERO usable information. Sought refund through bank, never received the order. Should have read the reviews before I got this far. BE WARNED

I ordered a “linen” 2 piece outfit that was on sale. I ordered a medium…which I normally am. When I received it, I tried it on. Laughable! First, the quality of the fabric was ridiculous. Very cheap with a thick elastic waistband…not pictured in the advertisement. Second, the appearance of the top and bottoms were most definitely NOT like what was pictured. The shape of the top was off and the bottoms were incredibly ill-fitting. I’m extremely unsatisfied and will be asking for a full refund. Never again will I order from this company, or order clothes online again if it’s not coming from the US, or a company that I trust.

Like others I didn't realise my jacket was being posted from China. The website says Holland. I returned the jacket as the quality was awful but was told the package was held up at customs in China. I was told the problem was at the UK end and they could do nothing about this. Obviously I checked with Royal Mail and they assured me that the forwarding address and customs fees were all paid correctly. Olivia says there is nothing more they can do. Well I can do something - warn others never to use this website!

Do not touch this company with a barge pole. Ordered linen trousers. Just received extremely poor quality cotton trousers that are so thin they are see through. Ordered a size 12 - the trousers I have received are more like a size 8 and are so short, would fit a child. Have to post back to China to obtain a refund so not worth the agro or cost. This company is a scam - quality of goods received are extremely poor and each email received is AI generated. The sort of customer experience that makes your blood boil.
