My Car Broke After 24 Hours… Here’s What Motor-Class Did
Just like many of the people here who have left negative reviews, when the car I purchased broke down within 24 hours I was naturally very worried about how the situation would be handled. When something like that happens, you immediately start thinking the worst — especially after reading some of the reviews here — and I was honestly quite panicked about what the process was going to be like.
However, my experience turned out to be the complete opposite.
From the moment I contacted Motor-Class and explained the situation, they were understanding, professional, and very quick to respond. I told them clearly that I didn’t want the car repaired and that I simply wanted to unwind the deal, including the finance agreement. To their credit, they handled the situation extremely well and agreed to cancel everything very quickly without making things difficult.
During the discussions I even considered swapping into a different car instead — something newer and more reliable. While they were preparing that option for me, I mentioned that I had a family trip planned that weekend which was originally meant to be in my new car. Despite having absolutely no obligation to do so, they went out of their way to hire me a car for the weekend so my plans wouldn’t be ruined.
Unfortunately the finance company didn’t approve the replacement deal at the last minute, but even then Motor-Class handled everything fairly. They returned my original car and took back the vehicle I had purchased without turning the situation into a long or stressful dispute.
The important thing here is that they could have made this very difficult for me — but they didn’t.
They could have delayed things or pushed repairs instead of unwinding the deal, but they chose to do the right thing and focus on good customer service.
A big thank you to Aiden and Mike for the way they handled everything. It’s easy to judge a company when things go wrong, but the real test is how they deal with problems — and in my case they were fair, professional, and genuinely helpful.
Once the finance situation is fully cleared up with my bank, I will happily return to Motor-Class in the future.

Spencer told me that the vehicle had not been through their prep workshop so might have a couple of marks on it as it is 3yrs old. Viewed the car, agreed the deal (which was fair imo) & when I went back to collect the car a week later it was pristine, not a mark on it. One of the best Car Dealership I have dealt with, fair, honest and reliable. 5 Stars all the way.

What made it worse is that the photos and videos on their website appear heavily edited and do not reflect the car’s actual condition. The reality was very different from what was advertised.
Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience. I would not recommend buying from them.

Appalling customer service
Absolutely disgraceful and would definitely advise people not to purchase from the untrustworthy garage! We spoke to the manager of the garage Saturday regarding a car we were very interested in purchasing. Anthony said that the car was still available and we made an appointment to view it the next day at 1pm. We advised Anthony that we would be travelling three hours to view and if we was happy we would purchase and leave a deposit and my husband would collect the car on Thursday once all insurance was sorted for him to drive home for my birthday on the Friday. Anthony agreed and said he would get the car mot’ed ready for when my husband collected it.
We arrived at the garage as agreed to be told they had just sold it to somebody else!!! They didn’t care less! A 6 hour round trip wasted! If that’s the service they offer when buying, god only knows the service they offer after buying if you have any problems! Extremely disappointing

I’m very disappointed with the after-sale service from this dealership. After reporting issues with the car I purchased, the manager, Alex, completely stopped responding to my emails. This is unacceptable and reflects very poor customer service. I expected much better support after spending this kind of money. I cannot recommend this dealership based on my experience.

Bought a Range Rover Velar from Motor…
Bought a Range Rover Velar from Motor Class Wigan in July 2024 with a 2-year RAC warranty. I was only told about a “new reconditioned” £14k engine after paying my deposit and finance approval, and reassured it was like new. I was never told it was fitted by their in-house mechanic. Within weeks it was cutting out due to a loose earthing wire, then two injectors failed after 6 months from poor fitting (confirmed by a garage). After 11 months and 13k miles, the engine seized. The engine change wasn’t declared to the DVLA, making the warranty and insurance invalid.
I’m my father’s main carer while he undergoes cancer treatment and chemotherapy, and it’s been incredibly difficult getting him to his appointments without a car. I’ve been unable to work since June, losing vital income from my freelance business, yet I’m still expected to pay car finance and travel expenses. This situation has had a huge impact on my finances, home life, and mental health, and despite explaining all of this, Motor Class have shown no concern or support. The matter is now with the Financial Ombudsman Service. Avoid.

Having bought 2 cars from these px the first 1 then 2 months later received speeding fines parking fines after numerous emails with Alex it’s my fault he states absolutely disgusting especially when both cars were bought cash and alloys were not refurbished etc and the sales rep dealing with it apparently left in bad terms and they would not do the jobs on the vehicle which were agreed never buy from these ever again

Where shall I start ....A couple of weeks ago I phoned up on a Tuesday morning to book a Sunday appointment as I'm 145 miles away and was visiting friends ( as its only pre bookings),was told someone would contact me during the day...5.30pm still no call so I call back ,same gentleman answered and said sorry I'll chase it up ,gave him my email and phone number ....didn't hear anything all week so Saturday comes ,thought Ill leave it till about 1 ish ,calls then and guys said oh we've not got you down but its not a problem ,ok i said ...5 mins later he calls me back and says which one was it as they had two hahaha ok I told him..Sunday comes I'm waiting in the showroom ,I get completely blanked ,no I'll be with you in a minute..another lady customer walks in standing near me also waiting ...sale guy comes out and goes straight to her and says how can I help ,again I was blanked ...she very kindly says I think this chap was first .....So the car ,youve had it since March,it was filthy ,not even washed unlike I dare say most of the others ,it was like an ugly duckling ,but I did like the car ...was given a fair offer price for mine ,so I'm stopping in Manchester for a few days ,so on Tuesday I pop back into the showroom ,find the car show my friend and we both agree if we can get it for a 1k less then its a done deal (car still hadn't been washed)...31k car this is ....anyhow guy says he'll speak again to his manager and call me back the next day ...that was 9 days ago and still no call,So I email Alex on Tuesday asking if he'd had chance to speak ...still no reply from him 4 days later.. My friend called them yesterday on my behalf ,their reply once someone actually answers the phone was they would call me today (Friday) at 20.32 Im still waiting and the car is still for sale .....Guy's what you playing at ??I see from another review that they were treated similar ...no one answers the phone ,your follow up stinks and its another sale you've lost ... I've had an email from Leo in Audi Harrogate today pointing out a car that's just arrived in the group ,thought it might interest me ...we've not spoke for 6/7 weeks and he still remembered ...that's proper customer service ,I suggest you contact him and see how its done if you want your business to survive
Avoid! Time wasters
After contacting Matt at this garage for details about a car and a viewing, he seemed very vague to disclose any details. Despite arranging to view the car with Matt and a 5 hour round trip, when we arrived at the garage the car was no where to be seen. We were told by Matt that his Dad, the accounts manager at the garage, was out driving the car to an emergency foot operation appointment. We were told to wait and he said he would go and get the car. We waited half an hour and he turned up in the car which was absolutely pitted with dirt both inside and out and had several deep scratches and marks. When I asked why wasn’t the car at the garage and prepped ready, when they knew I was coming to view it, Matt got defensive and replied ‘It was an emergency appointment’. There are several other cars his Dad could have used in the garage. I can only describe the customer service from this garage as diabolical. To travel this far and to be met with this shocking service with not even an apology from Matt is ridiculous. Considering we had travelled there with intentions of purchasing the car, the state of it was embarrassing. The garage must have a good turnover to be able to afford to lose £26,000 within 30 minutes. A total waste of a days holiday off work and £70 in fuel. Don’t waste your time with this garage.
