Mouseprice Avis 130

I signed up for the 7-day trial and I'm sure I cancelled my billing. Anyways, they billed me for the 1st month and I cancelled on the day they charged my account so I was no longer a Pro member and could not access the features. I sent them an email and I have not had a response back yet. They can clearly see that I have not accessed the platform so I am expecting a refund.
Hopefully, they will issue a refund.

Update: I received an update from someone called Sally who advised that they couldn't issue the refund as the subscription had been cancelled however if I raise a dispute with my bank, they will issue the refund that way. A refund was issued within a few days of logging the dispute. Thank you.

How is the mouse price algorithm still so far out, it used to be spot on.

A company that clearly isnt listening to feed back as this has been an issue for quite some time.

Like many others i have seen complaining on here, property values are well below what they should be on Mouseprice. This site needs taking down. They do not answer emails and the information they are putting out for anyone to see on the web is completely false, you should be made accountable for the values you are advertising of peoples properties.

I have an old account that I have not logged into for months. Years ago I tested the free trial and cancelled. I now don't use the website. I have just been charged £29.99 on my account using my card details. I looked at my Mouseprice account and I have been upgraded to Mouseprice Pro. My profile holds no details, no options to cancel. No proper method to contact a customer support team. I did not authorise this transaction and I have not agreed to any service from this company. Criminal.

They do not respond to emails, and have no other way to contact them.
I cancelled my subscription, and 5 months later they are still taking it !!

Total waste of time and should be taken offline.

How many times will Ben Davies respond to reviewers reporting undervaluations by saying 'it is not possible' for the site to undervalue everything before he cottons on!? Total Joke.

My house, according to MousePrice, is worth no more than I bought it for nearly 20 years ago. Zoopla think it has more than doubled in price. That's a difference between them of over £340,000. I thought Zoopla was a bit low, but they don't know about the improvements. MousePrice is just a joke, it's so far out it casts doubt upon the credibility of the whole site.

Update Nov 2021, the difference is now £435k, they think my house is worth less than 20 years ago.

Update Dec 2021, ROFLMAO my house has shot up in value by over £500,000 in a month - Is MousePrice is just a random number generator?

Update Mar 2022. My house valuation has now fallen by £300,000, from over £800,000 in December to £550,000 now - this is nuts.

Not great experience using MousePrice Pro. What used to be a great site is now lacking complete functionality. The heat maps are not always possible to use - with zooming hit and miss and the additional layers do not work, which makes the functionality useless. The valuations and reports are just useful.
When contacting Mouseprice for assistance, I got no response.
Would never spend any money with them again until they invest time in their website and functionality and their customer service steps up to an acceptable level.

Very misleading information about my property

The data on mouseprice.com appears to be widely inaccurate. Apparently our property value has gone down by £100,000 compared to a year ago, we have somehow gained 2 extra bedrooms and our square footage has decreased by 50%. Very annoying when you are looking to sell a property, it will give potential buyers a misleading viewpoint.

Mouseprice get your algo’s sorted. my house was worth ( according to you) c £300k more last week that what you are saying now! How can my house bought in 2017 be valued £150k less nearly four years later when house prices have only gone up!!!!!! Get your act together… oh and I’ve tried the email address below ( in a previous response from you) and it is bogus. The email keeps getting pinged back. if you can’t get your valuations correct please stop offering this defunct service and go offline. Thank you.

Addition to review ….Ben Davis please update your email so we can actually contact Mouseprice. I have emailed and the bogus email below does not work. Your algos are completely out. I think there is probably a legal rule out there that we could approach Mouseprice on that you are undervaluing my house by c. £250k. How can a house paid for 4 years ago be valued £150 LESS than what I paid for it when the local
Market has only got up in the that timeframe.??? I am having to revert to this public forum to try and get a response from you. Says a lot about the company, the lack of customer service. I have not signed anything with Mouseprice so that you can display fraudulent data on my property. I would like you to remove my property from your website. Thank you.

UPDATE… October … well it beggars belief.. MOuseprice are stating wrong misleading prices.. my house in over a month has gone down another £150,000!!! Unbelievably poor service, non existent customer communication and fraudulent prices. Rouges, liars and fraudsters. Go away Mouseprice and get yourself offline. You are potentially affecting peoples house sales. Either sort yourself out or get out and make yourself fit for purpose.

Update November 2021– well it gets worse… my house is now worth nearly 60% less than I paid for it 4 years ago!! When house prices have only gone up in that time frame. there is nearly 100% discrepancy between Zoopla valuation and these jokers!!! Beggars belief. Non existent customer service… I have sent many emails asking them to remove my property from the website as I am so hacked off with them and I have heard nothing back. Total silence. Don’t waste your time certainly not a fit for purpose website.

Used to be a good site giving reasonable estimates on home values , now a complete joke .
Values my house at least 60k below market pice .

My house profile has changed. It is totally incorrect. I cannot update the floor m2 or the year. This makes the value at least 100k underpriced.

I had previously (March ’21) written a 1* review, expressing my disappointment at seeing how a once very useful website had deteriorated to the point of no longer being remotely accurate in its valuations.

A while later I received an email from a lovely man from Mouseprice who explained they had taken over the previously partly decommissioned site (that was causing the inaccuracies) and were redeveloping it. He invited me to have a look at the new site and to give them some feedback.

I was very impressed by their genuine attempt to reach out to people and to recover site back, so I agreed. I found the site is easy to use.

I wanted to check the valuation of my property as a kind of benchmark test, so keyed in my post-code. As with the old site, I was offered a list of homes with their last sale date and price achieved. There was also some general market information given for the area of my postcode.

I clicked on my house number, and can thankfully confirm that the valuation now sounds about right. 😊 A rental value was also given (I have no idea what my house would rent out at, so can’t comment on the accuracy of this) but the potential range of rental value given was so wide that I wondered how helpful that would be to anyone.

A little bit of information was given about my house, both in a short section and under a FAQs section – things like the type of property, number of bedrooms, the price range, type of tenure, approx. build year, internal floor area, and the nearest schools. I understand it is possible to add more detailed information to your property, but I wasn't quite able to work out how to do that (I'm not terribly skilled in these things!).

A couple of interesting further links were offered for other property to buy or rent in Darwin Drive, but (presumably as there isn’t any at present) only information on property in other streets was given.

There was also a link to ‘insights’ about the area, which gave a bit of basic information on the location / electoral district, the history of the area’s development and some current socio-demographic information.

I think the site offers other services, such as articles on relevant topics (e.g. buying and selling your home, property tips and getting a f2f valuation), and Mouseprice can help you sell or rent out your property.

I had a look at one of the properties offered for sale, and it was well presented with photos and text. Mouseprice gives a Value Guide Star rating for properties for sale and to rent.

Overall I liked the site, though I’m not ‘at home’ in it yet the way I was with the old Mouseprice. A matter of time, I’m sure.

If there was one thing that irritated me slightly it was the number of adverts that kept popping up. I can’t remember that being the case in quite the same way with the old site. I appreciate Mouseprice needs to bring in revenue to maintain and run the site, though, so maybe that’s unavoidable. There is an option to pay monthly to join 'Mouseprice Pro' (free trial offered), so possibly you would lose the adverts that way!

I will certainly come back to Mouseprice to see how it develops. It has come back from what was a very deep hole!

All bad reviews about this site are right unfortunately.Used to be a good website. Now valuations too low and far from reality. I would use Zoopla instead.

Complete rubbish. This used to be a good and informative site. Not sure what they have done to the algorithms but valuations that I can see on there are all now WAY off.

I wrote a review at the end of 2020 advising that the Mouseprice site had failed.

After being contacted by the Mouseprice team, earlier this year, I was informed that the website had been taken over and was being redeveloped. I received a further email this morning advising that the new website was now live.

Without wanting to get too excited, the new site is brilliant! 😊

I like the fact you can create a personal profile and add details of home improvements.

The valuation also seems very accurate, as I received an estate agent valuation of my home a few months ago and this matches the valuation detailed on Mouseprice.

Mouseprice have addressed the issues and added new content/features that will benefit customers visiting the website.

I will definitely be using it more, even though I'm not planning to move at the moment. It's good to keep an eye on house prices, valuations and the surrounding areas.

Well done Mouseprice, I'm sure your ratings will now improve as the new site works very well. As a homeowner, this definitely meets my requirements for providing property and local information.

Update 15Jul21 - it gets worse our 3 bedroom house is now showing "We're currently valuating this property at a sale price of £99,754"
I am wondering if this is a wheeze to get you to sign up for a free valuation!

They have valued our 3 bed semi detached at £113,000 when we paid £157,500 for it in 2003. Other sites give estimates of £280,000 to £310,000 so we are totally unsure where the misinformation is coming from.

Comedic failure, this site was really very good and prices were always close to market. It's totally useless now. I was looking when I was purchasing and found prices were massively wide of the mark. Anyway out of interest i looked up the house I sold only to find it was valued at 45% of the market price realised. Don't waste your time.
